For country singer Whitney Duncan, tragedy struck on a day that should have been one of celebration. The same day that Whitney Duncan learned she made Survivor, she also found out her cousin, Holly Bobo, had gone missing.
When Holly Bobo mysteriously vanished, it sent a wave of shock, sadness, and terror throughout the community.
What happened to Duncan’s cousin Bobo?
Bobo was only 20 years old when she was kidnapped from her Tennessee home while preparing to leave for nursing school. The cousin of the Survivor: South Pacific cast member seemed to vanish into thin air. Her family members soon launched a search.
However, the website All That’s Interesting reports that there were very few leads and almost no clues. On the day that she disappeared, April 13, 2011, Bobo’s mother got a concerning phone call at work from one of the neighbors saying that there had been screaming at the house.

No one wants to be the first person voted out of Survivor, but every season, one castaway has to pay that price. Obviously, every Survivor contestant’s goal is to make it to the Final Tribal Council and win the grand prize. However, even if they aren’t the Sole Survivor, every player leaves the game with money in their pocket.

Although being the first to leave Survivor can be a tough pill to swallow, castaways can at least take solace in the fact that they earned some money for playing the game.
According to CinemaBlend, the first boot receives $3,500 for appearing on the show. And the prize total gets larger the higher you place in a Survivor season. For example, Corinne Kaplan revealed that she...

An intimate group of executives, talent and journalists gathered in Hollywood on Friday evening to celebrate the life of Joyce Sevilla, a veteran publicist and brand marketing whiz who died unexpectedly last week.
Held only blocks away from the bustle of the Academy Awards setup at Hollywood and Highland, restauranteur Salvatore Aurora closed his Sunset Blvd. property Sycamore Tavern for Sevilla’s friends and family. The sporty hangout was transformed by luxurious linens, hundreds of candles, and snapshots of Sevilla’s adventures blanketing the walls.
The evening was hosted by Sevilla’s inner circle — public relations firm Shadow’s chief executive Brad Zeifman, “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race” contestant and medical executive Corinne Kaplan, Bwr Public Relations senior vice president Gary Mantoosh, Thirsty Media co-founder Casey Brennan, and BrandLink Communications co-founder Greg Link.

Another leg on “The Amazing Race,” another leg win by an “Amazing Race” team. The “Race” alums kept their hot streak alive on Wednesday’s episode when Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl came in first for the second consecutive leg. That brings the “Race” duos’ perfect leg win record to 7 for 7, but we also marked another milestone on the other end of the spectrum with the Leg 7 results. Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo getting saved by the non-elimination leg means that every non-“Race” team has come in last now.
The season started with five “Race” teams, three from “Survivor” and three from “Big Brother.” Outside of Art Velez and Jj Carrell‘s Leg 1 elimination — which was caused by Art’s literal leg issues, spurring their four-hour penalty — it’s clear racers have been superior on a show they’ve done before. Every team that’s been axed or been...

After getting edited out of the fourth leg, the Head-to-Head returned on the sixth leg on Wednesday’s “The Amazing Race.” It took out Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes, who lost the final face-off to their “Big Brother” pals Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater. If you don’t like the Head-to-Head, you were Ok with that outcome since Janelle and Britney were already last. If you like or are even just indifferent to the Head-to-Head, you probably were like, “What even was the point of that? It didn’t change anything.” So we gotta ask: Is the Head-to-Head the lamest “Amazing Race” twist?
Introduced last season, the Head-to-Head has already been on numerous international editions of “Amazing Race.” The premise is mostly the same — two teams battle against each other with the losing team facing off against the next arriving team and so on — but they all occur at different...

“The Amazing Race” is finally back! Ok, it was only off for a week, but doesn’t Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins‘ elimination feel like 4,593 years ago? Anyway, as a reward for our patience, we have two episodes, starting in a new time slot, 8/7c.
In the first hour — Leg 5 — the teams will travel from Ho Chi Minh to Dubai, where they will go ziplining and hunt for giant eggs in a dinosaur park dressed as Tyrannosaurus rexes. This is already the best leg so far. Leg 6 will take them to Uganda, where the Head-to-Head Battle will make an appearance to be all, “Surprise, bitch!”
See Don’t forget ‘The Amazing Race’ returns at a new time this week (with a double episode!)
There are eight teams left: four from “Race,” one from “Survivor” and three from “Big Brother.” “Big Brother” is the only franchise not to lose a team yet.

“The Amazing Race” was off the air last week for the “Survivor: Edge of Extinction” finale, but your patience will be rewarded this week. As previously reported, “Race” returns Wednesday, May 22 with two episodes — and in a new time slot.
With “Survivor” done for the season, “Race” will now move up an hour to Wednesdays at 8/7c, where it will air for the rest of the season. “Race” fanatics will recall that May 22 was the original scheduled premiere date for Season 31, but CBS moved it up to April 17 after new series “Million Dollar Mile” was a bust.

After a “Survivor”-induced break, “The Amazing Race” is back on Wednesday with two episodes to make it up to us. And you know what else is returning? The Head-to-Head Battle.
Yup, the two-team face-off is back. CBS has released the loglines for both episodes, which are the fifth and sixth legs. The first hour, starting in the show’s new time slot of 8/7c, takes the remaining eight teams to Dubai, where they will “take a leap of faith when choosing which detour challenge to take on, and a split-second decision may make or break one team’s life in the race.” The Head-to-Head Battle is in the second hour, which takes place in Uganda, and based on this description, it’ll probably involve drums: “Teams must drum up enough strength for an intense Head-to-Head Battle before checking into the mat.”

Four weeks into “The Amazing Race 31,” the only teams to have won legs are, well, “Race” alums. The Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, won the first two, followed by Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, who dominated Leg 3, and Season 5 runners-up Colin Guinn and Christie Woods recovered from a Detour flub to take Leg 4 on Wednesday. It’s no surprise that the “Race” veterans are ruling the course right now, but which non-“Race” team — there’s one “Survivor” duo left, while all three “Big Brother” ones are still around — will be the one to end this streak?
The obvious answer is Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo. As Phil Keoghan noted in Wednesday’s episode, the “Big Brother” lovebirds have performed the best out of all the “Survivor” and “Big Brother” teams, finishing sixth, second, second and second. Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins may have nothing against Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater now, but if you ask Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes, they definitely did during “The Amazing Race 31.”
“Corinne and Eliza are not fans of the Reilly sisters at all,” Britney says in a deleted scene (watch above). “So if they see us talking to the Reilly sisters, they get jealous. They’re, like, mad.”
“Or they’ll talk sh–,” Janelle adds. “Like if I walk up to Eliza and Corinne, they’ll start talking sh– about the Reilly sisters, like, ‘Oh my God, when she asked you for that gummy bear, were you pissed?’ I’ll be like [faking it], ‘Yeah, I was so pissed. I didn’t want to give it to her.'”

If you were one of the people put off by Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins‘ ‘tude during their elimination on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race,” here’s some good news: The entire thing wasn’t as uneasy and awkward as what made the cut. Because obviously all the juicy stuff will end up in the episode.
An extended mat chat between Phil Keoghan, the “Survivor” alums, and Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater (watch above) actually features some level-headed discourse. It’s unclear if this took place before Corinne and Eliza walked to the side to cry, as was shown in the episode, or if they cried, composed themselves and returned for the mat-terview. Phil notes that there doesn’t seem to be any love lost between the two teams, to which Elissa says, “We love supporting women and we were in this with our girls and really hoping...

Regardless of how you feel about them, you can’t deny that Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins went out on “The Amazing Race” with a bang. The “Survivor” alums’ elimination on Wednesday’s episode was one for the ages, as they had to share the mat with Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, who nipped them for eighth place — this after saying how much they hate the Reilly sisters and will block them on social media when the sisters wouldn’t let them steal their cab earlier. The frustration was palpable and the bitterness was immediate. There were eye rolls and they had to walk off to cry and reiterate how much they hate the Rachel and Elissa.
But the truth is, Corinne and Eliza tell Gold Derby, they do not hate the Reillys. Plus, you may have already noticed that they haven’t blocked them on social media. Check out...

So that was awkward. Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race” ended with possibly the most uncomfortable elimination ever.
Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins got the boot, arriving at the Pit Stop minutes after their nemeses Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, and they — Eliza especially — could not deal. Rachel offered some platitudes about respecting them as racers and as women, which the “Survivor” alums immediately dismissed with eye rolls.
“It was definitely worse because it was to Rachel and Elissa,” Eliza said in a talking head. “And then to have to stand their at our elimination on the mat with Rachel and Elissa, who are like, ‘We respect you as women.’ I was like, get out of here with your fake B.S. Like I have no interest in hearing from them or speaking to them ever again.”

After our first non-elimination leg of the season last week, one team will definitely be ousted on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race.” Will it be lucky losers Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle, who were saved by the Nel, or another duo?
The remaining nine teams are staying put in Ho Chi Minh City for Leg 4. Chris and Bret have to complete that pesky Speed Bump on top of the regular tasks if they want to survive this week. The “Survivor” alums haven’t really adjusted to the freneticism of “Race,” so on paper it doesn’t sound good for them, but anything can happen on a new leg.
The Detour options are to row a basket boat to collect an item or to build a water basket. Get all of your “up sh– creek without a paddle” jokes out now. The Roadblock is to complete a training course on a scooter,...

This will chart high on the Fun-o-Meter. In a recent poll, 28 percent of our readers believe that Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, have been the most impressive team on “The Amazing Race 31” so far, which is already a quarter-way done.
Now it could just be recency bias here since Team Fun came out on top last week, crushing both performance-based tasks, dancing and karaoke-ing, which seemed made for them. Their average placement would probably be higher if they hadn’t been U-Turned on the second leg, making them hit the mat in ninth place, following their fifth-place finish in Leg 1. But to go from last to first is nothing to sneeze at.
In second with 24 percent of the vote are Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo. The “Big Brother” couple has done the best out of the “Survivor” and “Big Brother” racers, nabbing back-to-back second place finishes to go...

“The Amazing Race” is taking a detour into the water this week. Because that’s what the Detour options are.
New press photos for Leg 4, which again takes place in Ho Chi Minh City, reveal the Detour choices for the remaining nine teams — and who picked what. The options are to row a traditional Vietnamese basket boat to pick up items (the next clue?) or to build a water wheel. And just like the past two weeks, one of these was definitely the more popular choice.
Seven teams opted for the boat: Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes; Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle; Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl; Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins; Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce; Colin Guinn and Christie Woods; and Nicole Franzel and Victory Arroyo.

Slow and steady wins the race, or at least the Roadblock on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race.”
Leg 4, a second leg in Ho Chi Minh City, features a scooter Roadblock in which racers have to complete a test course. The course, naturally, isn’t just a racetrack or anything, but small circles and figure eights with arrows specifying which direction to go in. Sounds simple enough, but of course it’s not.
A sneak peek shows two racers tackling the course, Jamal Zadran and Elissa Slater. “It looks really hard, but luckily I have major balance,” Elissa says. Famous last words. She immediately goes out of bounds. Jamal doesn’t have any easier a time doing it, spinning off axis and putting his foot down, automatically disqualifying that attempt. We know he has at least four unsuccessful attempts and Elissa, five.

We’re three legs into “The Amazing Race 31,” which has already dismissed a “Race” team and a “Survivor” team, and has given us the first non-elimination leg of the season. A quarter of the season is now over, so who has been the best racers so far?
At first blush, it might feel like the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, since they won the first two legs. But then they ran a terrible third leg in Vietnam and barely scraped by in eighth place. They’ve also managed to fool everyone with their fake fights and wrong directions, so either everybody this season is gullible as hell or the Afghanimals deserve an Emmy.
The Afghanimals’ three-peat was thwarted by Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce. Team Fun ran a stellar leg in Vietnam, granted they were helped tremendously by the performing tasks that were right up their alley. Still, after...

If it seems like Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins have a new enemy every week on “The Amazing Race,” it’s because they do. It was the Afghanimals, then it was Victor Arroyo, and next week it will be the Reilly sisters.
The preview at the end of the third episode teases a fight over a cab between the “Survivor” alums, and Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater. The Reilly sisters win out, much to Corinne and Eliza’s dismay. And Corinne and Eliza lets us know how they really feel in a new preview (watch above), which, you know, has never been a problem for them.
“I cannot stand them,” Eliza says. “Why are we not better at this than they are?”
Adds Corinne: “I really hate them.”

You dance like no one’s watching. And you sing like you really want to piss people off. Which is exactly what Eliza Orlins is doing on “The Amazing Race.”
On Wednesday’s episode, the teams travel to Vietnam, where the Roadblock is to sing karaoke to a Vietnamese song. The racers get to practice and learn the lyrics in a backroom, as seen in the sneak peek above. It’s pretty low-key — everyone’s focused on mastering the words and pronunciation. Colin Guinn‘s got headphones on. Victor Arroyo is practicing at a normal decibel.
And then barreling in comes Eliza, who proceeds to bellow at the top of her lungs what are definitely not Vietnamese words to the song. Colin side-eyes her, while a peeved Victor decides to just leave and perform the song. “Eliza showed up and she’s yelling nonstop,” he says in a talking head.

“The Amazing Race” is turning into Dancing with the Reality Stars. Wednesday’s episode takes the remaining nine teams to Vietnam, where one of the Detours involves performing a choreographed routine in light-up costumes. And their judge is the strictest judge this side of Len Goodman.
“We love music, dance challenges,” Floyd Pierce says in the sneak peek above with a level of confidence that tells you it won’t go easily. That’s because the stern judge’s favorite word is “no,” which he repeatedly bellows to the teams who think they’ve aced it.

In case you couldn’t tell from last week’s episode of “The Amazing Race” when they literally ran in the street to block a tuk tuk, Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins are not fans of the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran. It’s unclear how this “feud” started — if you can even call it that — as all we got in the episode was Eliza saying the cousins weren’t helpful or nice. But a deleted talking head (watch above) reveals the true depth and source of the “Survivor” alums’ hostility toward them.
“The Afghanimals just remind me of the gen pop area of any crappy Las Vegas nightclub,” Corinne says. “They don’t have enough money for bottle service and they’re just milling around trying to get numbers. There’s something really skeevy about the two of them. And I can’t put my finger on it,...

Leg 2 means double the fun and a Double U-Turn! Yup, we are getting a Double U-Turn already on “The Amazing Race 31.” Wednesday’s episode takes the remaining 10 teams to Laos for the show’s inaugural visit there, where two teams might have to complete both Detours: learning the Laotian alphabet or cooking a dish. Will both U-Turns be used? Probably, since this is a season with established boundaries, if not relationships, between former racers, “Survivor” and “Big Brother” alums.
Meanwhile, Rupert and Laura Boneham got a huge break last week when Art Velez and Jj Carrell took a four-hour penalty, allowing them to complete the final task and advance by the skin of their teeth. Will they struggle again? At least other racers seem excited to see them, unlike Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins literally blocking the Afghanimals’ path because they weren’t “fun or helpful.”

It remains to be seen if “Survivor” alums Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins will outlast all the other teams on “The Amazing Race 31,” but they’re definitely trying to outwit and outplay them.
In a sneak peek from Wednesday’s episode (watch below), the teams are en route to a location in Laos. The Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, and Rupert and Laura Boneham hop into a tuk tuk to take them there, after which Corinne and Eliza realize they’re in the tuk tuk’s way in the middle of the road. While you and I might step aside so we don’t, you know, get run over, Corinne and Eliza decide to take advantage of their pole position and run in front of the tuk tuk so it doesn’t pass them. Well, a tuk tuk is not that big, you say; it can just pass them on the side.

We know what the Detour options are on the second leg of “The Amazing Race 31,” and now we know who did what — and when-ish.
The choices are to learn the Laotian alphabet or to cook a dish. As previously revealed, Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins opted for the alphabet, while Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater cooked. Corinne and Eliza also revealed that their fellow Survivors Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle cooked, quipping that Laotian sounds like Bret’s native Boston accent.
Well, cook was definitely the popular choice. Thanks to new photos released by CBS, we can see that eight of the 10 teams did cook. Now, yes, this leg has a Double U-Turn, but CBS, of course, isn’t dumb enough to release photos of the same team(s) doing both tasks if the U-Turns were used.
The other six teams that cooked are Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran; Colin Guinn...

We haven’t even had a regular Detour yet on “The Amazing Race 31,” but there will be a Double U-Turn on the second leg — and now we know what the tasks are.
Eliza Orlins and Rachel Reilly each tweeted sneak peels of Wednesday’s episode that conveniently shows their own team doing one of the two Detour options in Laos, which the U.S. version of the show had never been to before now. The teams can either learn the Laotian alphabet or to cook.
Eliza and Corinne Kaplan opt for the Laotian alphabet, which they liken to sounding like a Boston accent. That’s not inaccurate; they sound like they’re just dropping Rs from every word and are this close to reciting “Pahk the cah in Hahvahd Yahd.”
On this week’s episode of The #AmazingRace, @Corinsanity and I decide to learn the Laotian alphabet!! Check us out here.

If Rupert and Laura Boneham forgot which show they were on, that would explain how they got lost for literally hours searching for the second Roadblock in Tokyo on “The Amazing Race 31” premiere — nevermind the fact that they were right next to the site and walked by it at least once.
In a sneak peek of next Wednesday’s episode (watch above), the “Survivor” alums arrive at the airport and are greeted by Colin Guinn and Christie Woods. “I thought we were out. I thought we were out. By the grace of God!” Rupert tells them before recounting their four-hour debacle from probably not even 12 hours before.
“We spent four hours in that park running around looking for a hidden immunity idol, not a damn clue box!” he quips.

If you want to know who’s done “The Amazing Race” and who hasn’t, look no further than the sneak peek of Season 31’s reality showdown between “Race,” “Survivor” and “Big Brother” alums.
In the preview (watch above), “Survivor” stars Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins are lamenting in a cab about having fallen behind and blame those “stupid drivers.” Guys, “Race” is part skill, part endurance and part taxi luck. Everyone knows this.
You know who definitely knows? Rachel Reilly, who declares, “I’m not a rookie at this.” After twice racing with her husband and fellow “Big Brother” alum Brendon Villegas, the two-time finalist and “Big Brother” champ is racing with her sister, another “Big Brother” alum Elissa Slater, who announces, “I was made for the ‘Race.'” This is the level of confidence we aspire to have.

“The Amazing Race” fans are about to be introduced to one of the greatest reality TV heroes of all time: Rupert Boneham. Longtime “Survivor” viewers are already keenly aware of this tie-dye pirate from his four seasons starring on that CBS hit. Though he never claimed victory as the winner of “Survivor,” he did take home a special fan-voted prize of $1 million during 2004’s “America’s Tribal Council.” He’s that beloved.
In the upcoming 31st season of “The Amazing Race,” which will now debut April 17 on CBS, Rupert will be teamed up with his wife Laura Boneham, who previously competed against Rupert on “Survivor: Blood vs. Water” in 2013. Laura finished in 12th place that season, far outlasting her husband as he was the first person voted out of what turned out to be his fourth and final run on the show.

Season 31 of The Amazing Race will leave the starting line more than a month earlier than scheduled. CBS said today that the new iteration will premiere at 9 Pm Wednesday, April 17; it had been set for May 22. With that move, the network has banished LeBron James’ Million Dollar Mile from its Wednesday timeslot to Saturdays after just two episodes. CBS will air a repeat of NCIS in Million Dollar Mile’s timeslot next week.
Million Dollar Mile will air the remaining eight episodes of its 10-episode season on Saturdays beginning May 4, at 8 Pm with Ransom moving back an hour to 9 Pm.
The move comes after Million Dollar Mile premiered to soft ratings. It opened with a 1.0/4 rating and 4.1 million viewers in its debut episode, declining to 0.8/4 and 3.4 million viewers in week 2.
The network also released a sneak peek at the upcoming season, which comes with a twist: It will match teams...

“The Amazing Race” has a new start date. Season 31 will bow Wednesday, April 17 at 9/8c, a month earlier than its originally announced May 22 date, CBS announced Friday.
Leading out of “Survivor,” “The Amazing Race” is replacing the low-rated “Million Dollar Mile,” which is now moving to Saturdays at 8/7c, effective May 4.
As “Race” die-hards already know, Season 31, which filmed last summer, is a “reality showdown,” featuring alums from “Race,” “Survivor” and “Big Brother” competing for the $1 million prize. And yes, there are some legends of each game (Colin! Rupert! Janelle! Rachel!). (See the cast list below and check out the gallery above.) The season will cover more than 25,000 miles around the world.

Happy Wednesday fellow Big Brother fans. We were able to find some additional news for the upcoming Amazing Race season 31 Big Brother edition that we previously reported on. First of all, a few weeks back, TMZ was reporting that it was an all-Big Brother Amazing Race season. The the folks over at Realityblurred.com said that was not the case, and that it would include former Amazing Race contestants as well. Well, it turns out they were both wrong. However, Realityblurred was more correct than TMZ because the new season 31 will also include former "Survivor" reality show contestants to go along with the former Big Brother and Amazing Race people ! We've also learned who the official teams are. The folks over at goldderby.com are reporting that Amazing Race season 31 officially started filming this past Sunday, June 11, 2018 with a total of 11 teams. Only three of them turned out to be Big Brother teams.

The reaction to Jeff Varner outing Zeke Smith as transgender has been strong and rightfully angry from the majority of the Survivor fandom. While most are condemning Varner for his actions there are those who hold CBS even more responsible. On her Twitter account, Survivor alum Corinne Kaplan even wrote Jeff Varner only outed Zeke to six people, it is CBS who told millions. It's an understandable position, but Survivor did ultimately make the right decision in airing the outing.

To say that Dan Foley has been one of the polarizing players in this "Survivor" season would probably be a misnomer, because the "positive" side of the pole hasn't been over-represented as far as fans are concerned. From condescending chatter about how to talk to and apologize to women, to bullying behavior towards Sierra, to the particularly odd Tribal Council moment in which Dan compared being adopted to being a victim of abuse, the editors have had fun creating an unappealing carousel of moments with Dan, but also Rodney and Will. Dan hasn't done so well with the men either, launching a feud with former ally Mike over a misunderstanding, and seemingly randomly calling Rodney's mother a whore. Several months after an ouster in which Dan's two-vote Tribal Council advantage was negated by a surprising Idol play by Carolyn, Dan's got explanations or context for a lot...

“Skin of My Teeth”

In one of the most telegraphed blindsides in Survivor history, this week’s vote flips the game on its head and pushes the once-confident leaders to the brink. Rarely have the editors spent this much time setting up a pivotal blindside. Unlike nervous players like Monica and Laura Morett, Aras doesn’t have a past failure to make him worry. He’s confident that the game will work out and doesn’t recognize the danger of standing in front. The key mistake is trusting that Gervase and Tyson will let the couples run the show. And that’s hardly the only miscalculation. Tina makes a ridiculous gaffe and tells Monica she’s fifth on the totem pole. The amazing part is that she sells it like a benefit.
