Sydney’s Wsfm breakfast duo Jonesy & Amanda have won top prize at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards.
Brendan Jones and Amanda Keller picked up best on air team in the metro FM category.
Keller said: “To get industry recognition for the hard work we’ve put in over many years means a lot, I haven’t been this excited since the Ladybirds won the under 11 netball grand-final. Our production team are the best in the business and our show is an important part of our audience’s lives, what could be better than that?”
Meanwhile, Kyle Sandilands also won again, with The Kyle & Jackie O Show picking up best networked program.
Winner of the best On-Air Team (Metro Am) was the Continuous Call Team of Ray Hadley, Steve Roach, Darryl Brohman and Bob Fulton, from 2Gb. They team also won Best Sports Event Coverage for their call of the 2011 Nrl Grand Final.

Commentators continue to guess at whether Gop candidates at the June 13 debate in New Hampshire will live up to their promises. But their faces never lie. Sensory Logic's Dan Hill analyzes their expressions for Fast Company to reveal what traditional pundits can't.
For those following the cycle of punditry, the June 13th Gop presidential debate from New Hampshire is all tucked in and sealed with a yawn. The consensus: Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney strengthened his frontrunner standing; Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty blew it; Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann broke through to gain the most.
But facial coding expert Dan Hill saw a different story unfold. He performed an analysis on the debaters’ mugs Monday night exclusively for Fast Company and says: Romney did not enhance his status; Pawlenty performed admirably on an emotional front; and Bachmann exposed her weakness.

The likely Republican candidates might not be saying much about their candidacies just yet. But, as the saying goes, the medium is the message. Facial decoding firm Sensory Logic has figured out ways to interpret their messages.
Although President Barack Obama is substantially boosted by the killing of Osama Bin Laden, and a relatively unknown few Republicans debated last night in Greenville, South Carolina, Campaign 2012 nevertheless is starting to take shape. During the campagign, many Americans will meet Gop contenders for the first time. But what the presidential hopefuls say may not matter that much. Their faces may be doing the heavy lifting. A scientific, emotional “facial coding” of the candidates and their expressions may determine who gains traction and who gets the nomination.
Campaigns and the public will soon be inundated with information on how candidates are tracking and their odds for success ("the horse race"). Politicians and the...

Today: Why isn’t Chris Colfer a Teen Hearththrob? Plus, how touching is the Mark Wills’ song “Don’t Laugh at Me”?
Have a question about gay male entertainment? Contact me here (and be sure and include your city and state and/or country!)
Q: There are lots of teen mags out there – J 14, Teen Bop, etc. – with lots of pinups of *shudders* Justin Bieber, as well as Taylor Lautner, Zac Efron (who isn't even a teen anymore), and even some of Cory Montieth and Mark Salling from Glee (who are both 28, My Age), as well as Chord Overstreet and Kevin McHale. But Not Once have I ever seen a picture, or even a mother-freaking article about, regarding, or even Mentioning Chris Colfer, who is, by far, the Biggest Break Out Star of the show. Plenty of people (even E freaking W) say so. And he's the youngest of the cast,...

Yesterday we reported on the Newspaper Club, who swept the recent Brit Insurance Design Awards with their masterful recapturing of a low-tech medium. We also hinted that they'd be bringing their newsprint ways to SXSW this week in order to hype their new newspaper-making tool Arthr. But little did we know that the Newspaper Club was holding top secret meetings with a band of collaborators and actually produced a newspaper at and about the conference, which was printed on an honest-to-goodness printing press last night. I got my hands on one of the first copies.
Writers and designers were tapped by Ben Terrett (above) of the Newspaper Club to help collaborate on the special SXSW-focused edition. Articles rolled in from writers like Bobbie Johnson (the cheeky "Newspapers are always in beta"), Clay Shirky, Matt Jones, and Dan Hill. Additional reporting was done at SXSW. The 1000 pieces (three long pages folded,...
