Welcome to this review of the Royal Rumble 2023, right here on Nerdly. I’m Phil Wheat and we have not only Two Rumble matches to look forward to but also a Bloodline main event that promises to bring things to a head with that long-running storyline! Let’s get into it.
Match #1: Men’s Royal Rumble – Winner: Cody Rhodes The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Before the match started, the surprises had already begun as Pat McAfee made his return to commentary, delightfully shocking Michael Cole. Fight Night kicked off the Men’s Rumble as Intercontinental Champion Gunther and his fierce rival Sheamus entered at No. 1 and 2, respectively. Not long after Sheamus scored the first elimination by Brogue Kicking The Miz (No. 3) into oblivion, he formed a match-long alliance with his good friend Drew McIntyre after The Scottish Warrior entered at No. 9. McIntyre got payback on Karrion Kross (No.

Match #1: Raw Tag Team Championship Match – The Usos def. The Judgment Day The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Winners of a Tag Team Turmoil for the chance to challenge The Usos for the Raw Tag Team Championship, Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest started off hot, grounding Jimmy & Jey. As Finn Bálor tried to get involved, he was swiftly ejected by the WWE Official. This allowed Jimmy to hit a huge splash, but he could only garner a two-count. Late in the fight, Jimmy suffered a knee injury, and Sami Zayn tagged in for the injured Jimmy, which WWE Official Adam Pearce allowed. With immense pressure as the entire Bloodline watched,...

Awards season is upon us, and while Hollywood is honoring 2022’s best films and performances, the Razzie Awards shine a light on the “worst” movies and actors of the year.
Leading the field is Andrew Dominik’s controversial Marilyn Monroe biopic “Blonde,” with eight nominations. While Ana de Armas is not up for worst actress, the film is nominated for worst picture and Dominik for worst director and screenplay. Evan Williams and Xavier Samuel are also both competing for worst supporting actor alongside Mod Sun and Pete Davidson for “Good Mourning” and Oscar winner Tom Hanks for “Elvis.”
Hanks is also in the worst actor race for his turn as Geppetto in Disney’s live-action “Pinocchio.” Filling out the worst actor race are Colson Baker, Davidson (for a voice role in “Marmaduke”), Sylvester Stallone (“Samaritan”) and Jared Leto (“Morbius.”)

The Golden Raspberry Awards (aka the Razzies) are back and ready to celebrate (or denounce?) the worst in cinema from the past year, with Netflix‘s Blonde leading the way with eight nominations. “[Blonde] ‘explores’ the exploitation of Marilyn Monroe… by continuing to exploit her posthumously,” the Razzie organizers said of the Andrew Dominik-directed movie, which stars Ana de Armas (Knives Out) as the beloved Hollywood icon. The critically panned biopic picked up nominations for Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Director, both Dominik, “whose work here says more about him than it does about his subject.” Tom Hanks and Pete Davidson also came in for a hammering, as both received two nominations in the Worst Actor and Worst Supporting Actor categories. Hanks was slammed for his portrayal of Gepetto in Disney’s Pinocchio, as well as his “latex-laden, ludicrously accented portrayal of Col. Tom Parker” in the hit biopic Elvis.

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down this week!
Match #1: The O.C. def. Alpha Academy The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After their triumphant return last week, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson had their first match back in WWE, facing off against The Alpha Academy. The biggest members of each team in Luke Gallows and Otis collided in the ring, registering high numbers on the Richter scale. Otis continued to play spoiler, stopping The O.C. from hitting the Magic Killer, which lead to a brilliant back-and-forth between Chad Gable and Anderson. Anderson got the upper hand in the exchange, enabling he and Gallows to hit the Magic Killer to seal the win.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai def. Bianca Belair & Candice LeRae The following is courtesy of wwe.
