The Wheel of Time's second outing is quickly coming to a close, but there are a lot of questions left unanswered!
The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 7 saw Moiraine learn the truth about many things, and also betray someone important in her life.
Anvaere also made a discovery that will change the entire Damodred family's political and class standing forever.
The best part of the episode was something we've been wishing for since the beginning of The Wheel of Time Season 2. We finally got an update on all of the major characters.
With updates from Nynaeve, Egwene, Rand, Perrin, and Mat's storyline, the episode covered a large chunk of information and plot development!
However, even with getting our prayers answered, the episode still did not live up to The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 6. It was slow.

This articles contains spoilers for The Wheel of Time.
In season 1 of The Wheel of Time, Moiraine made it clear that there were five possible Dragon Reborn candidates among the young people of Two Rivers, not because they all exhibited use of the One Power, but because the threads of their destiny made them important parts of the Great Pattern weaved by the titular Wheel of Time. Nynaeve and Egwene are learning about their abilities at the White Tower, and Rand is having his own journey of self-discovery… but what about poor Perrin?
Perrin, like the rest of us, is still unsure what he is exactly, and he is perhaps reluctant to embrace the dangerous animalistic rage that resulted in several deaths in The Wheel of Time season 1; however, puzzled viewers are likely eager to learn more about his inner nature. Yes, those who have read the books are in on the secret,...

Episode 3 is so good that it’s going to be hard to wait for an entire week to see what’s coming next. The Wheel of Time Season 2 is going really well right now, and there’s been more depth to the characters, a lot more to learn, and some beautiful scenes to gawk at. Nynaeve’s test to become an Aes Sedai is the highlight of the episode, for sure, but so much more happens in it too! What does Rand want from the false dragon? Will Elayne be able to help Egwene in any way? I’m terribly excited to see what’s coming next for all of them. And will Moiraine be able to get back to them in time to help them?
Spoilers Ahead
What Happens In The Episode?
Nynaeve’s great test begins now, and she’s told that there will be only one way out after she’s inside.

After over a year of waiting, The Wheel of Time is back.
The first episodes were all over the place quality-wise, with the story veering off in multiple directions. Some good, some bad
The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 1 saw all of our lead characters separated, with the show also becoming disjointed at times.
The series never shied away from showing off its technical prowess, but the premiere episode relied too heavily on fancy camerawork, and too little on the rich plot that The Wheel of Time Season 1 finale left them with.
It's been a long time since The Wheel of Time Season 1 Episode 8, so we are grateful that the episode started with a lengthy recap, as almost two years is a long time to wait.
The first episode contained a major shift in who could be considered the lead character.

It is finally time to see what’s happening with the Dragon Reborn. The man who left everyone behind because he thought he would kill them all in the throes of the madness inside him. The Wheel Of Time Season 2 began with Moiraine and Lan at odds, a glimpse of Rand and Mat, Nyaneve and Egwene becoming Novices, and Perrin trying to find Padan Fain to get his revenge. While the Wheel weaves what the Wheel wills, will it be able to mend the tear between Lan and Moiraine so they can be a great team again and save the world as they planned? We can’t know just yet, but we’ll slowly find out in the new season of The Wheel Of Time.

At the end of season 1 of The Wheel Of Time, Moiraine was left alone and powerless at The Eye Of The World. After having masked her bond with Lan, there’s no way for her to unmask it anymore because her powers have been shielded by the Dark One, and she cannot touch the Source anymore. On the other hand, Rand has walked away from everyone he loves because he’s afraid he’ll give into the madness and kill them. Additionally, Moiraine admits to Lan that Rand didn’t defeat the Dark One, and this was only the first battle; there’s much more to come. With everyone scattered, what will be next for the Dragon Reborn and the battle?
Spoilers Ahead
What happens in Episode 1?
A young girl sits on what looks like a seal (similar to the one at the Eye Of The World), playing by herself.

It is time for the wheel to turn again and churn out some new characters, hopefully leading to a better season this year. Season 2 of The Wheel Of Time returns this Friday, and many of us may have forgotten certain critical details, especially if we haven’t read the books. As it is with most adaptations, the show steers its wheel away from the source material (enough to make people mad), leaving us with fewer details to pay attention to. Season 1 follows Moiraine’s journey of figuring out who the Dragon is and their travels from Two Rivers to the White Tower. Now they have to fight the Dark One, who we don’t know much about, except for the fact that the former Dragon locked him up for 3000 years. If you need a recap of the characters, you can check out our guide on the characters in season 1. But here,...

The Wheel Of Time returns this week with a new season and new characters, but if you’ve forgotten any of the important characters, don’t fret because we’ve got you covered. The high-fantasy show is adapted from Robert Jordan’s works and drifts quite far from the source material. For those of us who haven’t read the books, the show is quite entertaining and has a great dose of fantasy. The show first aired in the year for fantasy lovers! There was Dune, Sandman, The Witcher season 2, and more fantasy media dropping back in 2021. While we are still quite lucky in the realm of fantasy, people have high hopes for the second season in comparison to the first one because of the introduction of the new characters and the pandemic no longer being an obstacle for shooting. So, let’s quickly break down the search for the...

The dangers of the quest unfolding in The Wheel of Time aren’t just about defeating the Dark One; there’s also the question of whether the Dragon Reborn will be a champion for good or evil. Similarly, the others in Rand Al’Thor’s life must choose their path or have it chosen for them. Several of those who portray these other destiny-driven characters on the show spoke with us about the fate that steers their lives in season 2.
Perhaps few characters felt the battle between good and evil within themselves more than Mat Cauthon, portrayed in season 2 by Dónal Finn. Having been corrupted by the tainted dagger he acquired in Shadar Logoth, Mat now has some decisions to make during his recovery. “He has to turn inward and get reflective and be introspective about the behaviors...

Initially written off as just another unnecessary spin-off for an ancillary character from a spin-off from the main film series, "Andor" has instead emerged as one of the most exciting, viscerally thrilling, politically charged additions to the "Star Wars" universe since, well, the very first film. With Tony Gilroy at the helm, the series features an array of new characters, masterful pacing, and a dark oppressive feel that hangs over every episode.
"Andor" has constantly hopped between genres, from a heist film to a prison escape to a rebel uprising. It's been described by some as "Les Misérables in space," not something you would expect from the studio that brought you the often frustratingly simple "Obi-Wan Kenobi" and "The Book of Boba Fett."
As well as a strong, nuanced turn from Diego Luna at its center, the series features beautifully observed performances from an incredible cast that includes Fiona Shaw,...

This post contains spoilers for the "Andor" season 1 finale.
"Andor" has been a true breath of fresh air to the "Star Wars" franchise, in terms of tone, storytelling, visuals, and themes. One of the show's biggest contributions is its take on the Rebel Alliance. Before, the Rebels were mostly one-note, a group of chivalrous knights fighting an evil empire with pure goodness. Sure, they were cool, but there was rather little in terms of personal stakes for the non-Skywalkers or Solos in the Rebellion. Now, "Andor" is giving the Rebel Alliance more nuance, with layered inner conflict for many of the characters that turns the decision to fight the Empire into an actual personal struggle rather than a plot convenience.
This brings us to Mon Mothma, the only major "Star Wars" legacy character in "Andor," and one who's gotten a huge makeover. In the original "Star Wars" trilogy, Mon was...

There will be spoilers for "Andor" Episode Xii - "Rix Road"
"Andor" closes its first season strong with "Rix Road," the twelfth episode from Tony Gilroy and team, building on the framework of the funeral for Maarva (Fiona Shaw). Just about everyone heads to Ferrix, either returning or coming for the first time, to fulfill their own goals and ends. Dedra Meero (Denise Gough) heads to Ferrix to capture Cassian in a bid to learn the identity of Axis — the man in charge of the rebel activity she hopes to quash. Vel Sartha (Faye Marsay) and Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård) join Sinta (Varada Sethu) on Ferrix so they can kill Cassian Andor to prevent the Empire from getting any more information about the nascent rebellion. Whenever I'm in a situation where I have to use my legal name and pronouns -- as in, the ones I was assigned at birth, not the ones I've chosen for myself -- it's like I'm wearing a mask. It's not that I, per se, act like a different person in these situations. But it does afford me and, at times, those in my near-orbit a sense of security that we might not otherwise have. Besides, who cares if the rest of the world think I'm this-and-that? I know who and what I am, and I honestly feel no need to make it clear to anyone else.
Except, there's more to it than that. Because every time I'm out in public, whether any of this comes up or not, I'm enjoying all the privileges that come with someone who looks like me (with a legal name like that). And that's no small thing,...

This post contains spoilers for "Andor" episode 11.
When it was first revealed that 2015's long-awaited "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" would center on a "not the Galactic Empire" in the form of the First Order, it was hard not to roll one's eyes at the idea. That feeling only intensified when it came to light that the First Order would have its own Death Star-style superweapon in the form of Starkiller Base. Was this really the best premise the movie's creatives could come up with? The Empire all over again, only bigger and more extreme? As though the generation of civilians who grew up hearing stories about Emperor Palpatine's terrible regime would somehow get it in their heads that the real problem with the Empire was that it didn't go far enough. Talk about hack writing, eh?
"Lord, what fools these mortals be," as Puck puts it in William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream.

There will be spoilers for "Andor" Episode X - "One Way Out"
The tenth episode of "Andor," titled "One Way Out," focuses heavily on the end of Cassian Andor's prison escape and brings us to the end of another arc of this show. Cassian (Diego Luna) finally convinces fellow prisoner Kino Loy (Andy Serkis) to help them break out. Loy signaled that his mind might have changed at the end of the last episode when it was revealed to the pair of them that no one would escape the prison. The time they were told they had until release was a sham and instead of being let go, they would be transferred to another work facility until their death.
Naturally, no one took this very well and they decided they could make a plan work. Though Loy finds Cassian's plan to be lacking, he agrees that they can't wait any longer.

There will be spoilers for "Andor" Episode IX - "Nobody's Listening!"
Andor's ninth episode, "Nobody's Listening!", shows us increasingly bleak situations for our characters. Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly), Bix Caleen (Adria Arjona), and Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) all find themselves practically suffocated by the oppression of the Empire. Mon Mothma still can't move her money around and is more and more suspicious of everything around her when her cousin unexpectedly shows up.
That's a surprise for the audience as well, as her cousin turns out to be Vel Sartha (Faye Marsay), the rebel operative in charge of the heist on Aldhani. For Bix Caleen, much of the episode revolves around her torture and interrogation as Isb agent Dedra Meero (Denise Gough) works to uncover the rebel conspiracy. For Cassian Andor, the entire episode revolves around his desire to escape the prison and convince Kino Loy (Andy Serkis) that no one...

ITV Studios has acquired a majority stake in Australian producer Lingo Pictures — marking its first acquisition in the country.
ITV’s production and sales arm paid an undisclosed amount for the Sydney-based company, which is best known for Upright, the Sky and Foxtel Australia drama starring Tim Minchin and House of the Dragons‘ Milly Alcock. Deadline understands the deal value is in the eight-figure US dollars region.
The deal highlights the growing value international production groups are seeing in Australia, whose favorable tax breaks system is increasingly attractive, and Australian dramas, with Paramount+’s Last King of the Cross one of the most sought-after titles available at Mipcom last month.

There isn’t a typical co-production model when it comes to international drama, said panelists at Mipcom.
“I wish there was. That’s our struggle now: finding the model that would make everyone happy,” noted Fremantle’s Christian Vesper.
“It all starts with the passion of the writer or creator, who really wants to make the show, and the supporting platform. Let’s be honest: They are all streamers now,” said Lisa Perrin, ITV Studios.
“The budgets are getting tougher but expectations are as high. There will be different funding models, outside money coming in. Private equity money, which can complicate things.”
However, private equity coming into series could be “interesting,” added Matt Brodlie of Upgrade Production.
“That is the indie film model. Without private equity, you wouldn’t have Sundance, just Marvel over and over again. Which we have anyway.”
While the budgets are changing, so are the tastes.

It's taken no time at all for "Andor" to announce that there's officially a new and exciting "Star Wars" show in town -- one that's completely uninterested in delivering what fans have seen before, for a refreshing change. Coming in, we all expected that the "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" prequel series would reveal brand new layers beneath the rough exterior of Diego Luna's Cassian Andor. Little did we know that another long-established franchise character would end up stealing the show altogether.
Much has been made of the return of Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma, reprising her role of the Rebel leader after her original work in "Revenge of the Sith" was left on the cutting room floor as a deleted scene. Though she briefly appeared in "Rogue One" and also voiced the character in several episodes of "Star Wars: Rebels," no series has given her quite as...

This post contains spoilers for the latest episode of "Andor."
If "Andor" has proven anything, it's that nothing is easy in the age of the Empire, least of all love. After the Aldhani heist in episode six triggered a galaxy-wide Imperial crackdown, it doesn't seem like any of our heroes will be getting happy endings any time soon. The series' seventh episode alone suggests trouble for Vel Sartha (Faye Marsay) and Cinta Kaz (Varada Sethu) — who are definitely sweethearts, fight me on it — and even checks back in on Mon Monthma's (Genevieve O'Reilly) icy marriage on Coruscant. While I'd be lying if I said I wasn't incredibly interested in the drama brewing between her drip of a hubby, Perrin (Alastair Mackenzie) and new player Tay Kolma (Ben Miles), "Andor" is finally offering some context to the relationship between Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and Bix Caleen (Adria Arjona).

Brad Pitt is in his wellness era.
The Academy Award-winning actor/producer has turned winemaker, sculptor, pottery enthusiast, and now, skincare maven. Pitt launched genderless skincare company Le Domaine and let it slip that while he will not be the face of the company, the concept of playing a salesperson onscreen did cross his mind years ago.
“I wouldn’t know how to do that, unless it was a comedy,” Pitt told British Vogue. “Actually, Sandy [Sandra Bullock] and I did once try to develop a whole idea of a husband and wife team, who were QVC’s most successful salespeople, but we’re getting a divorce, we hate each other, and we’re taking it out on air as we sell things…That’s as far as we got.”
Longtime friends Pitt and Bullock recently co-starred in “Bullet Train” and “Lost City” together.
Pitt also credited former fiancée, actress turned Goop mogul Gwyneth Paltrow,...

Brad Pitt is a big Goop fan.
The actor gushed about Gwyneth Paltrow’s much-talked-about beauty brand as he discussed his own new skincare line in an interview with Vogue.
The publication described the line, called Le Domaine, as “a science-meets-nature line of genderless skin care essentials that he developed in partnership with the Perrin family, the renowned Château Beaucastel vintners who are also Pitt’s partners in the fan-favourite Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Rose.”
During the chat, Pitt spoke about how he feels about star-fronted businesses in general.
He admitted, “When I started out it seemed shameful to do a commercial, for some reason. You were called a sell-out. I really think the hip-hop guys changed all of that. They made it okay — even cool — to spread your wings a bit, to try some other things. And now it’s really exciting that you can, you know, explore...
