It's over ... Ufc legend Georges St-Pierre just officially announced his retirement from mixed martial arts -- saying, "It takes a lot of discipline, though, to retire on top." The 37-year-old is widely considered one of the greatest Ufc fighters of all time -- some say the best -- racking up a 26-2 record and 3 Ufc titles in his 17-year career in the Octagon. Gsp has signature victories over stars like Nick Diaz, Matt Serra, Matt Hughes,...

While we’re still awaiting official confirmation on both the time travel and the five-year time-jump rumors, it’s becoming increasingly apparent that Avengers 4 isn’t going to stay linear in its storytelling, and actor Frank Grillo has now claimed that one particular blast from the past will include himself as the late Brock Rumlow, aka Crossbones.
On an episode of Ufc Unfiltered with Jim Norton and Matt Serra, the star let it slip that he’ll be making an appearance in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War sequel, albeit only in “flashback.” Though most cast members in next year’s release would think twice about dropping such spoilers, Grillo claimed that he’s allowed to say it since he won’t be in any other McU movies.
Obviously, there’s plenty of debate to be had over what this might mean. For one thing, it could be argued that this...

Guess who that guy in the photo above is. That’s right. World renowned scientist and one of the smartest guys in the world, Neil deGrasse Tyson was once a collegiate wrestler and from the looks of it quite ripped back in his day. So while it may come as no surprise to know that he is able to hold his own with Ufc fighter Matt Serra, it’s still pretty captivating to watch this coverage of Serra teaching a scientist some Jiu Jitsu moves. The talk of leverage and technique is very simple, and any Mma fan, even a casual one,

Winter has come and it's affecting more than just the realm. The creators of the hit HBO show have divulged that the show won't premiere in its regular month.
Let it be known that the best way to get information out of Game of Thrones show creators, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss is to put them on a Ufc podcast. In a recent episode, hosted by Jim Norton and Matt Serra, the duo revealed that Season 7 (and likely Season 8) won't be starting during its normal April premiere date.
The reason behind the move is simple, Winter Has Come.
"We don't have an air date yet, but next year will probably be a little bit later. We're starting a little bit later because, you know, the end of the season 'Winter is here,' and that means sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes anymore. So we kind of pushed everything...

“Game of Thrones” Season 7 could be delayed by the weather, series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss said. In an interview with Matt Serra and Jim Norton on the Ufc Unfiltered podcast, the duo said Season 7 of the HBO fantasy drama will be “starting a bit later,” since winter has finally arrived in Westeros. “We don’t have an air date yet,” Weiss and Benioff said. “We’re starting a bit later because at the end of this season, ‘Winter is here.’ And that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more. So we kind of pushed everything down the.

The decision by Ufc welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre to fight who he believes to be #1 contender Nick Diaz has been a controversial one. With some fans arguing Johnny Hendricks deserves Nick Diaz’s place and others calling for a super fight with middleweight champion and pound for pound kingpin Anderson Silva. However the Ufc has showed us that sometimes your mouth gets you places faster than your fists. And Georges doesn’t feel the time is right to fight Anderson. So instead we’ll get the highly anticipated, on and off and on again and off again and now on hopefully for good fight between Marijuana activists’ fan favorite Nick Diaz and long time champ Georges St-Pierre.
Come Ufc 158 two things can happen. St-Pierre will use his smart game planning to mix up his striking, foot work and wrestling to win a dominating decision or Diaz will somehow find a...

The Ufc's Ultimate Fighter (Tuf) reality TV series returned to our screens last Friday night, but arrived with a twist -- as well as the fastest knockout in its history, at just eight seconds. While the show carried the same format and dangled the same prize at the end of it all, the action was, for the first time, live and pretty much uninterrupted and the season will, in time, be far more interactive than ever before, offering fight fans the opportunity to participate and dictate the fates of those inside the house.
A runaway success since its inception in 2005, this latest tweaking should ensure it remains as such, following the odd hit-and-miss season of late. With change comes a period for reflection, however, and now seems as good a time as any to remember and highlight some of the show's very best success stories, if only to provide inspiration...
