Tambay’s post yesterday, The Black Gents Discuss Black Theatre In America, reminded me of an email I received from one of the members of The Black Gents of Hollywood a few weeks ago (yes, I’ve been lax in my blogging commitment of late). I met this particular Black Gent a few years ago in Atlanta, during the Independent Black Film Festival, and have remained on his emailing list ever since. I’ve yet to respond to any of the emails by actually getting up and going to see any of their productions, but that’s only because it’s a long way from London to Los Angeles and, while I’ve been known to travel across oceans on a whim, the funds situation is clawing itself out of a bit of a dip right now.
