What is it with Spanish ham on TV right now?
We’ve just seen “before” and “after” versions of this Iberian delicacy on the new season of Only Murders in the Building, and here we are now with the Frasier Season 2 premiere getting in on the porcine action.
It’s a bold move to call an episode “Ham” and then completely live up to that name by filling it with subplots that could be trimmed.
(Chris Haston/Paramount+) Sophomore Year At Harvard
The revival’s first season was surprisingly good, especially considering the perfection of Frasier, The Original Series.
Frasier 2.0 fleshed out Dr. Crane’s return to Boston with “new” characters from his previous academic life there rather than his Cheers era.
This strategy worked incredibly well, particularly in the character of David Crane, the son of Daphne and Niles, who was now a freshman at Harvard. Anders Keith was a revelation as this character,...

I know what you're thinking, not another crime procedural on broadcast. They're a dime a dozen. They're formulaic. The consultant leads tend to outwit and outsmart their police partners or make law enforcement look like they can't do their jobs competently. I get it. But at the same time, these tropes of the genre are just a part of the playbook, the real essence of these shows lies in how well they can take these paint by numbers elements and make them feel different and give the audience not only a reason to tune in but to also keep watching. High Potential succeeds in this with its pilot episode.
We're introduced to Morgan Guillory, played wonderfully by Kaitlin Olson who's best known for her comedic work. Hers is the kind of character that upon looking at her you think she's quirky. That we're about to be lured in by an...

High Potential is making its debut on ABC. The new procedural, which flits between comedy and drama, stars Kaitlin Olson as a genius who gets hired as a police consultant after she makes a break in a case that changes the tide of the investigation. Her decision to highlight what they'd missed takes her from cleaning the precinct to helping to solve crimes with Det. Karadec who is definitely not as free spirited as Morgan nor would he bring children to a crime scene but, hey, Morgan is a single mother with three kids, where she goes they go if that's what has to happen.

The following article contains major spoilers for "The Boys" season 4 and discusses abortion, suicide, and sexual assault. Reader discretion is advised.
Look, no one watches the Prime Video satirical superhero series "The Boys" because they want to feel warm and fuzzy. The show, based on the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comic of the same name, is a pitch-dark take on superhero franchises that skewers everyone and everything while putting its characters through absolute hell. Season 4 was more brutal than any of the previous seasons, however, forcing most of its characters to face their (significant) past trauma. For Hughie (Jack Quaid), season 4 was even more hellish than it was for anyone else, as he was put through traumatizing event after traumatizing event.

The ‘ton was ablaze with gossip this morning when Luke Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton was announced as the lead for Bridgerton season four.
Netflix revealed the second-eldest Bridgerton sibling would be on the marriage mart for the next installment, following season three’s love story between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).
According to the logline, season four “turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down.” However, when he meets a mysterious Lady in Silver at Violet Bridgerton’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball, that all changes — and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Colin couldn’t be prouder.
Julia Quinn’s An Offer from a Gentleman — the third book in her novel series — will serve as the basis for Benedict’s season as he pursues (spoiler alert!) Sophie Beckett. According to the book’s description,...

The sitcom Frasier, starring Kelsey Grammer in the titular role, was a critical, ratings and awards success during its run from 1993 through 2004. It continued to pick up new fans when it was syndicated, and later when it became a fixture on streaming platforms. When any property becomes an across-the-board hit like this one, there’s going to be talk of reviving it in some form, even if most series regulars have declined to reprise their roles and one of them has died. Thus did a new season of a new Frasier reach Paramount+ subscribers last fall.
Even positive reviews were notably qualified. Liz Shannon Miller wrote that “it feels like something’s missing” and cited a lack of “purpose”; Laura Bradley complained that Nicholas Lyndhurst’s Alan (supposedly a lifelong friend of Frasier’s despite our never having heard of him before this era of Frasier’s story) is “one-note.

Who’s the cutest couple in sitcom history? Pam and Jim on The Office? Maybe Niles and Daphne on Frasier? What about Mac and Dee?
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia isn’t exactly a romantic comedy — its characters’ carnal urges are often dark and devoid of anything we can loosely describe as “love.” However, behind the scenes of the longest running live-action sitcom in American history, a beautiful love story brewed and blossomed into a whole family as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star and creator Rob McElhenney fell in love with castmate Kaitlin Olson during the early seasons, eventually marrying his onscreen coworker.
Today, Mac and Dee have two kids with whom they travel the world running soccer teams and palling around with Ryan Reynolds, and the story of their love is written in the furtive glances and physical chemistry of their onscreen work on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

If you were first introduced to the intricately beautiful world of Bridgerton thanks to the Julia Quinn novels, then you might have noticed that there's a change in Sophie's last name. Bridgerton season 4 is finally focused on Benedict Bridgerton's love story with the gal, based on the third book, An Offer from a Gentleman.
In the novels, Sophie's name is Sophie Beckett. However since the romance drama has cast Korean/Australian actress Yerin Ha in the role, the series felt like a name change was in order to respect the star's heritage and culture. And so in the fourth season, she is known as Sophie Baek. Here's what Ha had to say about the name change, per Netflix's Tudum:

Space travel is not for the weak. It takes a special kind of person to brave the cosmos and not recoil from insignificance while coming to grips with how small we are in an ocean of stars and infinite possibilities. If you’re not careful, the weight of your mission and the isolation that comes with the job can warp your senses, making you see and hear things that are not there. In Mikael Håfström’s Slingshot trailer, Casey Affleck, Laurence Fishburne, and Tomer Capone star in a psychological thriller about three astronauts making Ren and Stimpy’s case of space madness look like child’s play.

One of the best things about Bridgerton is the way it helps viewers escape the horrors of reality. By rewriting the worst parts of Regency history and focusing primarily on the lives of the upper class for the time being, the show manages to take its viewers into a world of never-ending balls and dreams of love.
For me, this was the perfect escape from the frightening reality of the Covid lockdowns back in 2020, and even better, an escape from the current news. What baffles me, however, is how this fantasy version of carefree reality is still too hard to accept for some characters in the Bridgerton universe.

The fifth episode of The Boys Season 4 was essentially divided into three storylines. The first one was taking place at a Comic Con-like event where Vought was unveiling their upcoming slate of movies and TV shows. A-Train was trying to throw Sister Sage off the scent since she had figured out that he was responsible for the leak about the deaths of the Homelander fans. Homelander was turning Ryan into a villain under the garb of making him a hero. And it all ended with the death of Cameron Coleman after Ashley managed to frame him for the aforementioned leak. The second one was centered around the Campbell family, where Hughie and Daphne dealt with the repercussions of injecting Hugh with Compound V, which eventually led to his death. The third one took place at Neuman’s farmhouse, where a mishap gave superpowers to the animals present there. The last...

Even though I, like many other people around the world, fell victim to the Bridgerton fever that took over the months of May and June, every time I turn on this show I have to think about how grateful I am to be born in the 21st century.
The balls, the champagne, and the gossip would definitely not be part of my everyday life back in the 1800s, and even if I was lucky enough to be born into the right family, I'd gladly trade it all for the women's rights we have today. And I bet Simon and Daphne would also be happy to escape their timeline and file for divorce as soon as possible.
Who Is Daphne’s Husband in Bridgerton?
Daphne's story was the first in both Julia Quinn's book series and the Netflix adaptation, and it was the one that introduced viewers to the wonderful world of the show.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers from Episode 5 of “The Boys” Season 4, currently streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video.
While Homelander (Antony Starr) and the supes were away at Vought’s V52 fan event (not to be at all confused with Disney’s 23) on this week’s episode of “The Boys,” Butcher (Karl Urban), Frenchie (Tomer Capone) and company played with a group of crazy, vicious farm animals on a journey to find a supe-killing virus.
Amid those two wild plot points was a graver storyline: Hughie (Jack Quaid) and his recently returned mother Daphne (Rosemarie Dewitt) saying goodbye to Hugh Sr. (Simon Pegg), when Hughie agrees to give his dad a pain-free death to put him out of his new misery. During the episode, Hugh Sr. struggled to control the destructive phasing super power he’d acquired after Daphne gave him Compound V in order to bring him out of a coma.

As part of their continuing effort to tether the terrible Frasier reboot to the classic show everyone loves, the creative team behind the Paramount+ show are bringing back a number of familiar characters for the second season.
Peri Gilpin’s Roz will reportedly have a larger role going forward, and her old Kacl co-workers, Bulldog and Gil Chesterton, will turn up for an episode as well. Although they’re clearly leaving money on the table by not having the ghost of Eddie the dog return to haunt Frasier.
Now we’re getting word that another beloved character from the original show is coming back for Frasier 2.0: Frasier’s relentlessly unscrupulous agent Bebe Glazer, played by Harriet Sansom Harris.
Other than Niles and Daphne, Bebe is probably the character fans will be most excited to see come back. While she only showed up a total of 11 episodes over the course of Frasier,...

Families are complicated, more so in the messed-up world of superbeings in The Boys universe, and time and again we have been reminded of that through the series’ bloody shenanigans. The fifth episode of the ongoing season brings family dynamics to the forefront to assess both humans and supes from their respective positions—and helps viewers find a commonality in that. Previously, Homelander went back to his childhood ‘home’—the ‘secretive Vought lab where he was created, brainwashed, tortured, and perfected—and decided to exact bloody retribution for all the past crimes. Hughie’s father, who was on the verge of his death, was dosed with Compound V by Daphne, resulting in his revival from a comatose condition. On the other hand, after Firecracker belittled Starlight on a propagandist teleshow of her own by bringing up her abortion, Annie lost her cool and beat Firecracker to a pulp, resulting in...

[This story contains spoilers from episode five, season four of The Boys, “Beware the Jabberwock, My Son.”]
From the first episode of The Boys, audiences knew life would be tough to the nerdish and somewhat awkward child-like protagonist Hughie Campbell (played by Jack Quaid).
Devoted followers of the Amazon Prime series know that Hughie’s girlfriend was accidentally killed by a supe during the very first episode, and many know the backstory of Hughie’s mother abandoning him and his father, Hughie Sr. (Simon Pegg), when the future supe vigilante was only 6 years old.
But it would take four seasons of the hit anti-superhero show created by Eric Kripke before audiences would actually get to meet Hughie’s mother, Daphne, played by Rosemarie DeWitt. Daphne pops up in the fourth season after it’s discovered that Hughie Sr. suffered a medical incident and went into coma. The Boys season 4 episode 5 may have featured one of the show's most heartbreaking scenes yet. With that in mind, how did Hughie kill his dad in the first place? Considering that Hugh Sr. was pumped up with Compound V, how come Hughie managed to resolve it? Here's what fans believe happened.
Content Spoilers: This article contains spoilers for Prime Video's The Boys season 4, proceed with caution.
Why and How Hughie Was Able to Kill His Dad?
As much as Hughie believed he could save his dad, Hugh Sr., from death with Compound V, the serum drove a different side effect from him.

One of the greatest characters from Frasier is set to make her triumphant return. Variety reports that Harriet Sansom Harris will reprise her role of Bebe Glazer in Frasier season 2, but she won’t be alone. Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) will be joining her as Phoebe, Bebe’s daughter. Doesn’t that just make your blood run cold?
Harris appeared in 11 episodes of the original Frasier series and frequently stole the show. “Known for her dramatic flair and outrageous Machiavellian maneuvers. Bebe will stop at nothing to get what she wants,” reads the official description. As for her daughter, Phoebe has “inherited her mother’s indomitable charm,” and “boasts a magnetic personality as well as a taste for the finer things.“

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Boys Season 4, Episode 5, “Beware the Jabberwork, My Son.”] The Boys dished up a lot of drama in its latest episode, “Beware the Jabberwork, My Son,” which saw Hugh Sr. (Simon Pegg) awake from his coma after being injected by Compound-v. Meanwhile, the titular vigilantes took a trip to a wildly infected farm filled with Supe animals, and Gen V made its debut in the flagship show with the appearances of Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann) at the Vought Expo. TV Insider caught up with showrunner Eric Kripke, who answers some of the burning questions we have after this pivotal installment, which bid Hugh Sr. farewell after Hughie (Jack Quaid) and his mom Daphne (Rosemarie DeWitt) assist in his death by injection. The decision was made after Hugh Sr. gains uncontrollable powers and finds himself extremely confused as he unintentionally massacres people at the hospital in which he’s staying.

[This story contains spoilers from episode five, season four of The Boys, “Beware the Jabberwock, My Son.”]
Leave it to The Boys to tug on viewer heartstrings while horrifying them at the same time.
That’s exactly how episode five of season four, “Beware the Jabberwork, My Son,” was supposed to hit, says Eric Kripke, creator of Amazon Prime’s hit satirical series about vigilantes chasing superheroes.
In this week’s episode, the showrunner imparted wisdom on how to say goodbye to loved ones (The Boys way), terrorized viewers with man-eating supe sheep (confirming that the supes are not invincible), and brought in A-lister Will Ferrell for a cameo to save A-Train’s (Jessie T. Usher) life.
Episode five wasted no time picking up where last week’s episode, “Wisdom of Ages,” left off, where Hughie (Jack Quaid) got A-Train to steal Compound-v from Homelander’s (Antony Starr) living quarters to give to his comatose father. But while Hughie second-guessed...

"You've gotta hand it to him... the c*nt knows how to wear a whistle."
We're now over halfway through the fourth season of The Boys, and this week's fifth episode, "Beware the Jabberwock, My Son," saw the return of scheming Vought exec Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito), who joins the gang on a little excursion to a farm full of V'd-up barnyard animals.
Billy Butcher cuts a deal to get Edgar out of prison in return for his help in acquiring some of the Supe virus we saw being cooked up in Gen V. Unfortunately, most of the virus is gone, and all that awaits the crew is Victoria Neuman and a flock of flesh-eating sheep.
The Boys narrowly escape, and Butcher ruthlessly cuts off Neuman's scientist husband Sameer's leg to make it look like he was munched up by the sheep. In reality, Butcher and Joe Kessler...

The fourth episode of The Boys Season 4 was largely centered around Homelander revisiting his past and brutally killing all the Vought scientists who had tortured him as a kid under the pretext of testing his powers. Well, to be fair, he killed everyone except Barbara because he wanted her to be as messed up as he was. Hughie went ahead and made a deal with A-Train to get his hands on some Compound V so that he could save his dad with it. He walked back on that idea at the last moment, but Hughie’s mom, Daphne, did what he couldn’t and revived Hugh by injecting Compound V into his system. Annie and Firecracker had a huge public fight because the latter leaked Annie’s abortion records, which caused Robert Singer to fire her from his political campaign. During an altercation with Ezekiel, it was teased that Butcher might have some superpowers.

The Boys: A Family Reunion Goes Horribly Wrong In Emotional Clip From This Week's Episode - Spoilers
The Boys season 4 continues with tomorrow's new episode, "Beware the Jabberwock, My Son," and AMC (via Collider) has now released another extended clip - but this one is surprisingly revealing, so beware of spoilers from this point on.
In the closing moments of "Wisdom of the Ages," Hughie's mother Daphne injects a comatose Hugh Sr. with the dose of the V A-Train swiped from Homelander's apartment, and we see Hughie's father's eyes snap open.
Things seem to be going fine for a while and Hugh appears to be his old self, but the following clip suggests that injecting a man who was close to death with V may not have been a great idea.
The clip sees Hughie talk his confused and furious dad down, telling him that he's always been his hero. Hugh Sr. then recognizes his son... and freaks out after realizing that he's covered in blood.

The third season of Bridgerton has come to an end and we will have to wait too long for a new chapter – two years.
So let's at least speculate and try to predict what will happen in the fourth chapter.
1. Benedict Will Be the Main Character of Season 4
Benedict will most likely be the main character of the next season, for several reasons. First, in the final episode of Season 3 , Eloise says that she will be back home by the time the masquerade ball begins, to which he replies that he will be at the event as well, probably hiding from annoying brides.
The book An Offer from a Gentleman by Julia Quinn begins with a masquerade ball at which Benedict meets Sophie, a girl of noble birth now forced to work as a maid for a wealthy family.

The Bridgerton family tree has grown closer to completion in the onscreen adaptation of Julia Quinn’s books. With almost three full seasons on Netflix, the cast and characters have come a long way from Christmas 2020 when the first installment dropped.
As devotees know, Edmund Bridgerton (Rupert Evans) and Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmel) chose to name their eight children in alphabetical order as a means of organization. The late viscount and dowager viscountess had three sons — Anthony, Benedict and Colin — before their first daughter Daphne, who is followed by two more girls — Eloise and Francesca — and finally, Gregory and Hyacinth. Violet, who wants a love match for all of her children, oversees the marriage market seasons like a hawk, and her children who marry take after her in wanting a big family. Julia Quinn’s books detail more extensively the offspring of Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) Bridgerton,...

ABC series “High Potential” is getting a shift at the top, as showrunner Rob Thomas has departed the project, Variety has learned. The series, which stars Kaitlin Olson, is set to air Tuesdays at 10 p.m. this fall, after “Dancing With the Stars.”
Production has temporarily halted on the show, although insiders tell Variety that the switch comes during a pre-planned production hiatus.
It’s unclear what caused Thomas’ exit, but insiders said he had not been seen recently on set. Nonetheless, Thomas’ departure has been described as “amicable,” with studio sources noting that he has other projects in development at ABC Signature, which produces “High Potential.” A new showrunner is expected to be named shortly.
Production on “High Potential” had been well under way, having originally been ordered to series in May 2023, but pushed back a year due to the Hollywood strikes.

Dr. Frasier Crane has made his return to Boston, and while many were anticipating some of the characters from the original show to make appearances, the new incarnation would attempt to stand on its own, instead of relying on pre-established characters. This would mean that even though Niles and Daphne’s son is a big part of the new show, his parents would not be showing up. At least not yet. However, the first season of Paramount+’s Frasier would still include a return for the former Mrs. Crane, Lilith, who is played once again by the great Bebe Neuwirth. Frasier’s former radio producer from Seattle, Roz Doyle, would also return to make a surprise cameo in the season finale episode.

One of the biggest intrigues of Bridgerton is the order in which the show chose to tell the stories of the siblings. While some viewers might have expected the show to go from oldest to youngest, it never did, starting with the love story of Daphne, the 4th of 8 siblings, which is exactly how Julia Quinn's novel series began.
Another logical approach would have been to follow the order of the books, and the show did that by continuing Anthony's story right after Daphne's. However, the order was changed again when the 4th book, Romancing Mr. Bridgerton, was adapted into the third season. Now that viewers are completely confused, all they can do is guess who's going to be next.

That's correct. The big bird from FX hit comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Kaitlin Olson will switch gears to become a detective!
Aside from Always Sunny, Olson is known for her way too short-lived comedy, The Mick.

On Olson's side will be her detective partner, Daniel Sunjata.

The procedural is based on the popular French series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel.
High Potential is written by Drew Goddard, who serves as an executive producer with Sarah Esberg for Goddard Textiles.
