Adam Wingard has become the de facto king of indie horror over the past several years thanks to hits like “You’re Next” and “The Guest,” and he recently brought chills to the small screen by directing Cinemax’s “Outcast” premiere, but he might just have his biggest hit with “The Woods.” The horror film just premiered at Comic-Con after months of mysterious anticipation (remember that debut trailer that touted the project as the scariest film ever made?), and with it comes a major bombshell of a revelation: “The Woods” is an official sequel to “The Blair Witch Project.”

You don't actually have to wait until "Nashville" airs its next episode before listening to some of the show's music. Instead, you can download three of the new songs from this week's "Where He Leads Me" from iTunes or from the ABC Music Lounge.
The three song tracks available are "When the Right One Comes Along," written by Georgia Middleman, Sarah Zimmerman and Justin Davis, performed by Sam Palladio (as Gunnar Scott); "For Your Glory," written by Kate York, Leeland Mooring and Jack Mooring, performed by Hayden Panettiere (as Juliette Barnes); and "Peace in the Valley," written by Gillian Welch and performed by Jonathan Jackson (as Avery).
If you want a quick review of these particular songs: They're good. "When the Right One Comes Along" is especially beautiful, although the half-heard version in the actual episode -- Scarlett (Clare Bowen) sings along in that one.

Love the country music featured weekly on ABC's new series "Nashville"? If so, you will be ecstatic to learn that Big Machine Records will release an official soundtrack for the show on Dec. 11. The album will feature new music performed by the cast and produced by T Bone Burnett, Dann Huff and Michael Knox.
It's not like this is the first time fans from "Nashville" can get hold of music from the series -- digital downloads of music from the series already total more than 500,000. With the series just picked up for a full season and this soundtrack announcement, the future certainly looks bright for the country music-filled drama series.
The album includes 11 full tracks performed by "Nashville" actors Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio.
Check out the full track listing below:

Food Network Guy Fieri on “Food Network Star.”
“Food Network Star” took an all-American turn this week with the arrival of chef Guy Fieri of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” fame and the staging of a massive Fourth of July spread. It was a revealing episode in which the remaining 10 competitors’ strengths and weaknesses were all the more amplified. When Fieri (a former Food Network Star himself) coached the contestants, you could tell who really has a shot at winning this thing.

Food Network Paula Deen as a guest judge
Welcome to Cougar Town.
For the fourth installment of this season’s “Food Network Star,” the remaining 11 competitors headed to the set of the ABC series about women of a certain age. Frankly, the premise didn’t work – there’s nothing particularly “foodie-ish” about “Cougar Town” – and there’s nothing particularly “cougar-ish” about “Food Network Star,” save for a couple of contestants (Penny Davidi, the feisty, self-proclaimed “Middle Eastern Mama,” comes to mind,...

Food Network Scene from “Food Network Star.”
And then there were 12.
The second week of Food Network Star saw a rare double elimination – two contestants were knocked out over the course of two challenges. Throw in a little maneuvering among the competitors (Penny Davidi, the self-proclaimed “Middle Eastern Mama,” tried her best to make life difficult for Orchid Paulmeier, the smart and sunny Filipino-American chef-restaurateur and star from week one), a little quizzing from the judges (you’re not going to blanch those meatballs,...
