To celebrate “Halfway to Halloween,” MGM+ has released a first look at the anticipated third season of the hit series From. The mystery continues when the show returns this fall.
From unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to maintain a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest—including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.
Season Two explored just how far the residents of this nightmarish place were willing to go to find answers, even as chilling new threats to their safety – and their sanity – began to emerge.
The series stars Harold Perrineau (Lost) leading an ensemble cast that includes Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster (Strays), and Ricky He (The Good Doctor).
The cast also includes Chloe Van Landschoot,...

South Australian Anthony Frith’s close encounter with “Sharknado” prodco The Asylum in “Mockbuster” is among five handpicked titles to be showcased at the Adelaide Film Festival Goes to Cannes showcase, held at Cannes Marché du Film on May 17.
The five works in progress range from queer adult anime, comedic doc, and traditional non-fiction to family dramas, helmed mostly by newcomers, and reflect the dynamic filmmaking community of Southern Australia, set to tempt potential co-financiers in Cannes.
So far two titles have received international backing. “Mockbuster” has been pre-sold to Giant Pictures and Drafthouse Films for North America, on top of domestic distribution in Australia via Umbrella Entertainment; Kelly Schilling’s drama “With or Without You,” handled locally by Icon Film Distribution, has been picked up by global sales agent LevelK.

This year’s Golden Globe nominees for Best Film Supporting Actress are Emily Blunt (“Oppenheimer”), Danielle Brooks (“The Color Purple”), Jodie Foster (“Nyad”), Julianne Moore (“May December”), Rosamund Pike (“Saltburn”), and Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“The Holdovers”). Two of them in particular, Foster and Moore, happen to have something in common. It’s not just the fact that they’re both previous Oscar winners contending for Netflix releases this year. It’s actually the fact that they’ve both taken on the role of Clarice Starling in separate films adapted from novelist Thomas Harris‘s Hannibal Lecter series.
In 1991’s “The Silence of the Lambs” directed by Jonathan Demme, Foster played Clarice, who was assigned by the FBI to interview and profile deranged killer Lecter (Anthony Hopkins). The film was a huge critical and commercial hit upon release that February, so much so that 13 months later it won five Academy Awards including Best Picture.

The deluxe album Welcome to Horrorwood: Under Fire is coming this Friday from Ice Nine Kills, and to whet your appetite this afternoon they’ve released an official music video.
The track “Meat & Greet” comes to life in this latest music video from Ice Nine Kills, which operates as a full-on homage to the horror classic The Silence of the Lambs.
“Meat & Greet” recreates several key sequences from the 1991 Oscar-winner, including Hannibal’s meeting with Clarice, Buffalo Bill’s nude dance, and the brutal prison murders.
Speaking of brutal, the “Meat & Greet” music video cuts off right before it’s about to get extremely violent. As the band notes, “the ending of this story is too fucked up for YouTube.”
There’s apparently an additional 19 Minutes of the video that are “too gory to be shown without serious YouTube restrictions,” but there are ways to unlock the footage.
The band explains,...

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from Tuesday’s episode of Found on NBC.
In any given year, more than half of those who are reported missing are people of color.
NBC’s latest missing persons procedural, Found, seeks to shed a light on this statistic through its case-of-the-week story format. Last week’s premiere introduced audiences to Shanola Hampton’s Gabi Moseley, a former missing person herself who now works round the clock to ensure no missing person slips through the cracks.
Her crisis management team includes several others who have close ties to missing persons cases, including Gabrielle Walsh’s Lacey Quinn — who was also abducted by the same man who kidnapped Gabi. What Lacey and the rest of the world don’t know is that her kidnapper, known as Sir (played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar), is no longer a threat. That’s because Gabi has found him and...

In gearing up for today’s 30th anniversary of “The X-Files” premiere, which debuted back on September 10, 1993, I recently re-watched the series finale, titled “The Truth.” Yes, I know Fox’s sci-fi show later spawned two revival seasons in 2016 and 2018, but I’m still calling this episode, which aired on May 19, 2002, the official series finale. When “The Truth” originally aired, fans and critics alike were decidedly mixed on the two-part ender written and directed by series creator Chris Carter. But 21 years later, I can safely say that it’s better than you remember.
Scroll through the videos and photos below revisiting the nine best moments from “The X-Files” series finale, which featured the return of Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) as he went on trial for murdering an alien super soldier, while Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi) tried to secure his release. Did I miss any of...

Twenty years ago, the listicle-addicted American Film Institute named Anthony Hopkins’ cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lecter the greatest villain in American cinema, on a list including Norman Bates, Darth Vader, and the Wicked Witch of the West as runners up.

“The X-Files,” which starred Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny as two intrepid FBI agents who investigated bizarre and unexplainable cases, debuted on Fox on Sept. 3, 1993.
The sci-fi cult hit from Chris Carter not only had a profound impact on pop culture, but also inspired more women to enter the fields of science and medicine, like Anderson’s character Dana Scully.
The character was largely modeled on Jodie Foster’s Clarice Starling in 1991’s Oscar-winning “Silence of the Lambs,” while the show’s eerie theme song was partly inspired by The Smiths’ “How Soon Is Now?”
In honor of the show’s 30th anniversary, here are some facts you might not know about “The X-Files,” including how integral it is to the existence of “Breaking Bad.”

Susan Sarandon, playing the U.S. Secretary of State Alaska Adams, gets the better of Bryan Brown, as the Australian prime minister, in a fast-paced verbal duel that represents the first footage from the Sean Penn-produced satirical comedy series “C*A*U*G*H*T.”
An elite team of Aussie soldiers is sent to an island nation to retrieve a secret file that has gone astray. Mistaken for Americans, they are captured by freedom fighters and produce a hostage video that goes viral. When the soldiers achieve celebrity status on social media, they realize that being caught might just be the best thing that could’ve happened to them.
“C*A*U*G*H*T” explores themes of identity, fame, and the absurdity of the viral age. “Why can’t we comedically deconstruct the intellectual ideas that humanity is facing right now?” says Kick Gurry who directs, produces and stars in the six-part series.

Designated Survivor stood as a remarkable example among those treasured few television shows that possess an undeniable allure, captivating audiences and cultivating a devoted cult following.

It's time to embark on a journey, revisiting the stars who illuminated our hearts with their portrayals and what became of them in the years following their presence on this cherished show.
Keifer Sutherland - Tom Kirkman

Invisible City (Cidade Invisível) is a series directed by Júlia Pacheco Jordão and Luis Carone. It stars Marco Pigossi, Alessandra Negrini and Jéssica Córes.
The Invisible City is a very original fantasy and thriller series that knows how to swim wonderfully between the waters of the spiritual and criminal worlds, between the supernatural and the detective genre, and it also has an original aesthetic proposal.
About the Series
A murder thriller that gets lost in local legends, in the world of spirits and magic, and then presents us with a message of environmental conservation.
Very entertaining, well handled and accomplished visual effects (CGI), achieving an attractive series on several levels and one that knows how to continue the successes of the first season in these five new episodes.
It handles the photography very well, and – without losing the fantastic “touch” – knows how to give us a good, entertaining thriller so...
