Has Chris Evans just revealed when Top Gear is likely to return to the BBC?
During an appearance at the Radio Festival in London on Tuesday (September 29), the broadcaster told delegates that "Top Gear is not on until May, that's seven months, three days and 18 hours [from now]".
When the BBC ended its relationship with Evans's predecessor Jeremy Clarkson, the corporation immediately confirmed plans to bring Top Gear back to screens in 2016.
However, the BBC has since told Digital Spy that it won't be confirming exact transmission dates for the show at the moment.
Evans's former Big Breakfast producer Lisa Clark has joined the all-new Top Gear crew, but the Radio 2 breakfast show host recently denied reports claiming Zoe Ball had a screen test for the show.
Clarkson and his former Top Gear co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May are gearing up to launch a new, big-budget motoring show on Amazon Prime.

There'll be no series 3 for House Of Fools, as the BBC wield the axe against the Reeves and Mortimer sitcom...
Here’s a sad one for fans of Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer – their sitcom House Of Fools has been cancelled by the BBC. After two series and a Christmas special, the show - which also featured Matt Berry - hasn’t been renewed for a third run. The BBC released this statement:
"BBC2 and BBC Comedy would like to thank Vic, Bob, [producer] Lisa Clark and everyone else involved in making House of Fools, but after two fantastically inventive series the show won’t be returning.”
This isn’t the first time that House Of Fools has danced with death, either. After season 1 there were rumours of a cancellation that ultimately proved to be false. At the time, Stephen Fry said this:
"The BBC I thought, can't go more insane:...

Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer's sitcom House of Fools has been axed by the BBC.
The broadcaster confirmed that the comedy won't be returning to BBC Two, following the conclusion of its second series back in March.
A spokeswoman told the Radio Times: "BBC Two and BBC Comedy would like to thank Vic, Bob, [producer] Lisa Clark and everyone else involved in making House of Fools, but after two fantastically inventive series the show won't be returning."
It is thought that it was the comedy's underwhelming ratings that led to its cancellation. The first episode attracted an audience of 1.27 million in 2014, but figures quickly fell below the million mark.
The second series averaged one million viewers, but that wasn't enough to get a renewal.
House of Fools was set in "Bob's grubby flat", and saw Vic and Bob as flatmates visited by lots of unwanted guests, including lady-obsessed lothario Beef...

Chris Evans is making himself feel at home on Top Gear - he's brought in his former Big Breakfast producer to work on the revamped show.
Lisa Clark is the latest name to join the BBC's forthcoming rebrand of its popular motoring show, following the departures of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
Evans said: "Lisa is as good as it gets when it comes to making big, important television shows. She's funny, sassy, super experienced and has always absolutely loved cars."
Clark leaves her production company Pett behind to join the show, but says she is "confident" the business she set up with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer will "continue to make original and probably funnier shows" without her.
She added: "This is an incredibly exciting and challenging opportunity, which I couldn't resist."

In his new memoir "Hitmaker: The Man and His Music," Tommy Mottola apologizes to ex-wife Mariah Carey for his controlling behavior during their five-year marriage.
In the book, which hit bookshelves on January 15, Mottola acknowledges his overbearing ways, but asserts that his behavior paved the way for Carey's prolific music career. He writes, "No I did not hypnotize Mariah. No, I did not hypnotize her into selling 200 million albums. No, I did not chain her to the recording studio in the mansion we built after we were married. If it seemed like I was controlling, let me apologize. Was I obsessive? Yes. But it was also part of the reason for her success."
On Tuesday, the former head of Sony Music confirmed to "Today" show host Matt Lauer that "[the book] will be the first time" he has told the pop star that he's sorry.
"I have nothing but the greatest respect for her in the world,...

If there's one thing we didn't learn on Common Law this week, it's that Wes and Travis are one among many "Odd Couples" in this world.
The explosion of grenades that began this episode had nothing on the bombs that dropped between Wes and Travis during therapy. From Travis revealing Wes' tendencies to erupt like a volcano after accumulating a laundry list of complaints, to admitting that his cleanliness at home was a reflection of much deeper psychological significance, a lot came out between this pair.
Where sharing a dog seemed like laborious task last Friday, sharing a confined space for the purposes of a case was a much more taxing endeavor, even in surroundings as luxurious as those they in which they resided.
A patter had emerged with regards to these two characters, especially as it concerns their progress in therapy. They seem to do the most soul searching...

It was off to San Francisco for the second night of America's Got Talent auditions. Howie Mandel arrived via jetpack and Nick Cannon continued to fuel my love affair with his wardrobe -- I have a well-documented love of men in suits. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's my primary motivation for watching White Collar. Howard Stern was well-behaved and borderline boring, but the acts were anything but.
David Garibaldi and Cmyk (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key) redeemed my generally ambivalent attitude toward dance crews. I'm with Howard and his idea that unless they're really Really good or have some unique shtick that sets them apart, they all look the same to me. Garibaldi and his crew rhythmically painted a portrait of Beethoven while dancing to the musician's 5th Symphony. They progressed to Las Vegas, along with the Lisa Clark Dancers -- even though no one seemed particularly enthusiastic about LCD except the live audience.

Tommy Mottola's wife is pregnant. The 61-year-old record executive, who is the ex-husband of Mariah Carey and former boss of Sony Music, and his wife, Latin superstar Thalia, 39, have announced they are expecting their second child, according to USA Today.
The couple married in 2000, and Thalia gave birth to their daughter, Sabrina Sakae in 2007. Tommy has two other children, Michael and Sarah, from his first marriage to Lisa Clark.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Simon Cowell is lining up Tommy as a judge on "The X Factor (Us)". The pair met at exclusive Hollywood restaurant Cecconi's on Tuesday, March 1 where they discussed the possibility of working together on the TV talent show.
A source said, "Simon and Tommy have known each other for years since their days at Sony and Simon has wanted to get Tommy on board one of his shows for a long time. They...
