“We’re not the ones you should fear,” Kate Mara’s Sue Storm tells some government honchos in the latest TV spot for next month’s Fantastic Four – despite the tremendously disturbing fact that the Thing (Jamie Bell) seems set to save the world au naturel.
All kidding aside, the latest look at 20th Century Fox’s “contemporary” reimagining of Marvel’s First Family dispenses with the pleasantries rather quickly, instead focusing on some hard-hitting superhero action and yet another interesting look at Doctor Doom (Toby Kebbell). At this point, Fox has done what it can to get rid of the dour, Christopher Nolan-esque severity showcased in the first footage from the pic, favoring a tone that’s both realistic and action-packed.
The jury’s still out on whether audiences will take to it and disregard the bad buzz that has surrounded the blockbuster since its early days, when...

Tim Blake Nelson is in final negotiations to join the cast of Josh Trank's "Fantastic Four" reboot at 20th Century Fox.
Nelson will play Harvey Elder, an eccentric and socially awkward scientist who is also the Mole Man, the leader of a subterranean group of monsters known as the Moloids.
The Mole Man will Not appear in this movie but his appearance does set up the character as a potential future villain.
This is hardly the first time Nelson has been in this position in a Marvel-related movie. In 2008's "The Incredible Hulk" he played Samuel Sterns, a reclusive scientist who is seen mutating in his final scenes which sets up the character's potential return as the villain The Leader.
Miles Teller, Jamie Bell, Kate Mara, Toby Kebbell and Michael B. Jordan also star in the "Fantastic Four" reboot which begins production shortly.

(Cbr) 20th Century Fox may be adding another antagonist to its 2015 "Fantastic Four" reboot: The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday Tim Blake Nelson is in "final negotiations" to play Harvey Elder, better known in Marvel Comics lore as the Mole Man. According to THR's sources, Elder will appear in the upcoming film as "an eccentric and socially awkward scientist," not in full supervillain mode, though the reported plan (which Fox declined comment on for THR's report) is for the character to return as the Mole Man in subsequent installments. Toby Kebbell has already been cast as the film's Doctor Doom. The Mole Man actually predates Doctor Doom as a Fantastic Four villain, having first appeared in 1961's "Fantastic Four" #1 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Nelson, who appeared earlier this year on Discovery Channel's "Klondike" miniseries, has prior Marvel-based comic book movie experience -- as Samuel Sterns, the would-be Leader,...
