Deep in the darkest reaches of New York – no, not Trump Tower – a group of Devil worshipping cultists within the Church are up to no good. No good is one Hell of an unholy understatement because they are prowling the streets looking for women to sacrifice and bring about the Devil himself so he can bring satanic rule to the streets of New York. The leader of the bunch – the aptly named Thomas Seaton (William Beckwith) has his sights on the beautiful Alexandra (Christine Moore), the granddaughter of one of his followers. She holds the key and he’s going to do what it takes to get her under his spell and lying on the alter. Although...

The narrative for football has become not just injuries, but injuries so grave they are life-threatening. As football players become bigger and more aggressive, with steroids and overly engineered gym routines creating super soldiers on the field, more and more football players are getting brutally hurt. Concussions have become routine and head injuries are so bad the effect is felt on players long after they have left the field. Here's an interesting anecdote that applies to the film world: lifelong football fan and director Peter Berg told Bill Simmons on an Espn podcast a year and change ago that he was unwilling to let his athletic teenage son play football because of the concussion epidemic. Written and directed by Peter Landesman (“Parkland”), the NFL drama “Concussion” is based on the GQ article “Game Brain” by Jeanne Marie Laska and follows Dr. Bennet Omalu (played by Will Smith), the forensic neuropathologist...

Well, actually only half of Beast has been revealed. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" director Bryan Singer has tweeted a picture of the Beast, and we assume that's returning star Nicholas Hoult underneath the blue fur. Hoult is reprising the role that he took on in "X-Men: First Class," and he's one of only four actors from that first film to return.
Singer included a passage from Jeanne Marie Le Prince de Beaumont's Beauty and the Beast in the tweet. Check out the full picture below. As far as first looks go, this one is pretty awesome.

Director Bryan Singer has posted another new behind-the-scenes look at the pre-production of X-Men: Days of Future Past, revealing a crazy looking close-up of Nicholas Hoult as he reprises his role as Beast for the upcoming sequel.
The director sent the photo on Twitter where he included the following quote from Jeanne Marie Le Prince de Beaumont’s “Beauty and the Beast” that reads, “Many a monster wears the form of a man; it is better of the two to have the heart of a man & the form of a monster”.
Based on the classic “Days of Future Past” comic book storyline written by Chris Claremont, the plot for the film will involving time travel and an alternate future in which mutants are hunted down by robotic Sentinels and placed in internment camps. This bleak, alternate future stems from the X-Men failing to prevent the assassination of a U.S.

"Many a monster wears the form of a man; it is better of the two to have the heart of a man & the form of a monster" twitter.com/BryanSinger/st…— Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) April 5, 2013 The quote is from Jeanne Marie Le Prince de Beaumont's Beauty and the Beast. A lot of the Tweets sent out by Singer and other directors such as Marc Webb - who have really embraced the social networking site as a means to promote their movies - haven't always been particularly interesting. But I think you'll agree that this shot of Hoult as a much more human looking Hank McCoy, aka Beast, is pretty damn cool indeed.

After a pregnant Indiana woman tried to kill herself-and lost her newborn-the state threw her in prison. Jennifer Block reports on Bei Bei Shuai's strange saga, and why women can't be held criminally liable for their pregnancy.
Bei Bei Shuai was so depressed last Christmas, she chose a punishing way to die: rat poison. When her friends swooped in and saved her life, the Chinese restaurant owner's story might have ended happily, except for one detail about Shuai's condition: she was 33 weeks pregnant.

While Shuai survived the suicide attempt, her fetus ultimately did not. The state of Indiana responded not with continuing mental health services, but by incarcerating the 34 year-old on charges of murder and attempted feticide. Today, a judge will determine if she'll be released on bail.
