With Kenna Scott, Lorenzo Lamas has probably found his soul mate. The Falcon Crest actor had dated multiple women, five of whom he wedded before crossing paths with Scott. A serial divorcee, the American actor’s first marriage was to his Falcon Crest girlfriend, actress Victoria Hilbert. They rushed in and out of the marriage as they wedded in October 1981 and separated the following year. Upon finalizing their divorce in May 1983, Lamas wedded another actress, the late Michelle Smith. The marriage ended in December 1985 and then the actor married yet another actress, Kathleen Kinmont. Lamas and Kinmot’s marriage lasted from 1989

"He wouldn't leave without telling anybody..." Or would he...? An official trailer has debuted for an indie psychological thriller film with the most obvious and generic title ever – Dark Obsession, made by British filmmaker George Henry Horton. Not to be confused with any other dark obsession thrillers with a similar title, including 1989's Dark Obsession. A painter struggles with inner demons after being forced into a life of solitude when her husband leaves mysteriously. Do answers lie with her mother, who desperately tries to connect with her, or also her fearful neighbor? "When we first started filming, we were told by SAG we were the first pandemic film shooting in the whole of the Southern United States. That we pulled it off is nothing short of a testament to the dedication and talent of our wonderful cast and crew," the filmmakers say. This dark mystery thriller stars Blaine Morris, Mena Suvari,...

When a filmmaker takes on a story based on the crimes committed by a real serial killer, they have to walk a fine line. If they cross that line, it can feel disrespectful to the victims… and can even seem like they’re glorifying the killer. That’s not something Devanny Pinn intends to do with her feature directorial debut a 1970s serial killer tale called Black Mass. Speaking with Rue Morgue, she revealed that Black Mass focuses on the victims rather than the killer.
Inspired by real events, Black Mass is set over a 24-hour period in Florida during the winter of 1978 when college girls were being stalked by a serial killer. Eric Pereira and Brandon Slagle wrote the screenplay. Cast members include Lew Temple (The Devil’s Rejects), Jeremy London (Mallrats), Lisa Wilcox (A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master), Michelle Romano (Escape From Ensenada), Kathleen Kinmont...

The Halloween franchise gets a lot of attention during the month of October, and while fans are revisiting the past films and watching the new one, Halloween Ends (read our review Here), in theatres and on the Peacock streaming service, we decided this was a good time to dig into the making of one of the Halloween films with a new episode of our Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? video series. The movie being covered this time around is my personal favorite of the sequels, 1988’s Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (watch it Here) – and you can find out all about the film’s development and production by checking out the video embedded above!
Directed by Dwight H. Little from a screenplay by Alan B. McElroy, Halloween 4 has the following synopsis, lifted from the back of the VHS release:
Ten years ago he changed the face of Halloween.

Veteran TV actress Abby Dalton, who co-starred on the ’80s primetime soap Falcon Crest, has died at the age of 88, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Dalton passed away on Nov. 23 in Los Angeles following a long illness, her family said in a statement.
Dalton was a television staple in the 1960s: She played nurse Martha Hale on CBS’ Hennesey, starring opposite Jackie Cooper and earning an Emmy nomination for the role in 1961, and also played Rat Packer Joey Bishop’s wife on his self-titled NBC sitcom. It’s hard to believe another Flashback Weekend is almost upon us, but in just a few days, Chicago’s longest-running horror convention will descend upon the Crowne Plaza O’Hare (5440 N. River Road, Rosemont, Il), where thousands of fans will gather to celebrate everything they love about the genre. Flashback Weekend kicks off on Friday, August 5th and runs through Sunday, August 7th, complete with a star-studded line-up, nightly screenings, Q&A panels, costume contests, and much more.

One of my very favorite horror conventions has always been Flashback Weekend in Chicago, Illinois. For years, I attended Flashback as a fan and for the last six years, it’s been a huge honor for me to head back to serve as one of the convention co-hosts and work with Mike and Mia Kerz, two of the most selfless folks you’ll ever meet working in the industry.
Flashback Weekend will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this August 5th through the 7th and is being held at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare (5440 N. River Road, Chicago). This year’s schedule is shaping up to be yet another incredible time for midwestern horror fans, and there are still many announcements to come! So far, attendees can look forward to a celebration of the 20th anniversary of Scream, with a cast reunion featuring Neve Campbell, Skeet Ulrich, and Matthew Lillard.

With the help of Dr. Dan Cain (Bruce Abbot) who has also returned they are building a woman. With Lt. Chapham (Claude Earl Jones) on their trail though will history repeat itself?

So the big question everyone has been wondering since the announcement of the next Halloween film was whether or not it would continue on in the universe set up by Rob Zombie. Recently Collider caught up with Malek Akkad at the Saturn Awards, who shed some light on the subject.
“I can’t talk about it too much right now," says Akkad. "It will definitely keep elements and bring in new elements. But I really want to bring it back to kind of like, the classic – because the last one got a little dark – I want to bring it back to the classic Friday night horror film that people will really like.”
When asked about the ill-fated Halloween 3D, which was announced a couple of years back...
"Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier did a script. The next day after the last one came out, we were back in production for Halloween 3D.

Ah, Michael Myers. One of cinema's most notorious serial killers; pure evil on two legs. And whereas 'Psycho' is often considered the granddaddy of the "slasher" film, that'd make John Carpenter's original 1978 classic the "daddy" of this particular horror sub-genre. As is often noted, the original 'Halloween' has very little in terms of on screen violence and gore, yet it boasts some of horror's most memorable "kills." The sequels naturally upped the ante. It's no surprise that by the time they got to 'Halloween 6,' the original & now infamous producer's cut had portions re-shot with gore inserted to match what was going in the 'Friday The 13th' series at the time. Some of these outrageous kills feel tonally right for a 'Halloween' movie, others don't. But for better or for worse, Michael's always held his own against the competition! And since it's Halloween, we thought we'd...

If love is indeed in any way how Hallmark would have us believe, then you can understand the pessimism that some of us harbour. Teddy bears, rainbows and awkwardly 'charming' romantic comedies starring Hugh Grant intravenously injecting sickly sweet schmaltz into the eyeballs? Fortunately, those of you who reading this right now know too well that cinematic romance can be much more interesting. It dosent always end with the guy getting the girl and when it does, it's usually a hell of a lot messier and weirder. Heartbreakingly tragic, funny and downright horrifying – essential ingredients for a decent modern love story, if you ask me. Love and horror go together much more than most people would care to admit and have been turning out some of greatest stories in cinema. Next time the occasion calls for a genre flick a little sweeter, try one of these on for size.

Porn has become so mainstream I am surprised that more horror directors are not casting porn stars in their films these days. You know they will get naked, they are probably cheap, and if your film is going to suffer from bad acting, it might as well be by a hot porn chick. So I applaud the makers of Haunting Kira for getting my attention by casting Joanna Angel in their film, because they sure weren't getting it with her co-stars Monique Dupree and Rachel Grubb. Angel has starred in the porn parodies Porny Monster, Repenetrator The XXXorcist plus many other "adult titles." Ari Lehman, Kathleen Kinmont and Donna Hamblin round out the rest of the cast.
