The graphic novel celebrates the 40th anniversary of the legendary 1983 album, which contains all-time Maiden classics such as “Where Eagles Dare,” “Die with Your Boots On,” and “The Trooper.”
With a solid track record of heavy metal collaborations with Anthrax, King Diamond, and more, Z2 Comics pulled out all the stops for Iron Maiden: Piece of Mind. Image Comics' four-issue miniseries 68 has been slated for an autumn release. Created by Mark Kidwell, Nat Jones and Jay Fotos, the book tells the tale of a zombie outbreak during the Vietnam War. The story builds on a one-shot that the team published through Image as part of its Horror Book Volume 1 compilation. "We plan to ensure that all followers of the endless saga of the living dead are not disappointed," Kidwell told Cbr. "We're taking the opportunity of (more)...

Image Comics will return to the world of '68 with a four-issue miniseries. Mark Kidwell, Nat Jones and Jay Fotos are returning to the title after their popular '68 one-shot, which was published in 2007. "Nat, Jay and I have wanted to expand on the story in '68 for years but other commitments and projects just kept getting in the way," said Kidwell.

It’s been almost six years since Adam Wingard (Pop Skull) completed work on his directorial debut, the Alabama-set survival horror piece Home Sick. Since then it’s played all over the place in varying degrees of completion before the final, definitive version was shown at last year’s Fantasia Film Festival. Finally on August 26th, 2008, we’ll be able to see if it was worth the wait when Synapse Films gets Home Sick on DVD.
Home Sick writer/producer E.L. Katz dropped us a line yesterday with word on what fans can expect from the long-gestating DVD which he just got his hands on a few days ago, ”There are three shorts on there that we did after the several-year Home Sick production recovery” he told us, "The Girlfriend" (the second short we did), is practically a half hour long and one of our first experiments doing something straight-forward and less silly and goretastic.

If this is not the most badass thing you’ve seen all day ... you’re having a better day than I am. Image just gave Newsarama an exclusive look at their upcoming Dracula Meets the Wolf -Man, which hits stand this week.
The cover you see below is the “A” cover, the classic painting by Frank Frezetta which inspired the story. Francesco Francavilla did a “B” cover and Nat Jones did a “C” cover. The story, penned by Steve Niles, sees the count setting his sights on a beautiful peasant woman, who is unfortunately also the love interest of the Wolf-Man. A serious battle ensues!
Hit up Newsarama for their 5-page preview and look for Dracula Meets the Wolf-Man in stores this week!

The official Rob Zombie MySpace page unveiled another piece of artwork for the filmmaker's newest flick Tyrannosaurus Rex. Nat Jones provided the gritty and semi-sexy bit of promo this time, but I'm still confused about what T-Rex is supposed to be about.
All we know right now is that Dylan Thomas Rex is 49% Son of a Bitch and 51% Motherfucker. There are also motorcycles and half naked chicks, so it has gotta be entertaining at least, right?
Look for Tyrannosaurus Rex sometime in 2009.
