Graphic prints and bright, bold colors took over the runway at the Marimekko Spring 2013 show. Get your first look at the collection here! Color blocking, rainbow swirls, and geometric patterns were major trends gracing the runway of the Spring 2013 Marimekko show in New York. The collection's bold colors were cohesive and perfect for spring. Model Carmen Dell'Orefice, 81, walked two looks during the show, hamming it up and receiving a standing ovatio. It was overwhelmingly clear that she looked just as phenomenal in the Marimekko designs as the twenty-somethings with rainbow-dyed hair. We love that anyone from Hailee Steinfeld to Meryl Streep would look fabulous and ready for spring in these designs, but Michelle Williams and Nicole Richie would be an excellent matches for this new collection. Their love for funkier, bright colored pieces and more classic vintage silhouettes would be perfectly blended with any piece from this set. Since Lily Collins...

Some of the world's most beautiful women speak frankly in a new documentary about the fashion industry's cult of youth
It is difficult to imagine why anyone would not want Isabella Rossellini at their party. But according to the 60-year-old model and actress, her age has led to her name dropping off glitzy guest lists.
"For sure, my social status has diminished because, for sure, I'm not invited to the A parties any more. My daughter is," she said.
Rossellini is among a group of women, famous for their beauty, who have taken part in a new documentary talking frankly about coping with getting older in a society and an industry notoriously in love with youth.
About Face: The Supermodels Then and Now will be shown on cable television later this summer having premiered at the Sundance film festival earlier this year. It is a "slice of history", according to Beverly Johnson,...

Actress Sharon Stone is the target of a lawsuit from a former live-in nanny alleging derogatory slurs, false accusations of stealing and termination without cause.
The complaint, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Wednesday, alleges that in 2010, Stone began subjecting Erlinda Elemen to slurs about her Filipino heritage, accent, food and Christian religion. The lawsuit also says that Stone requested Elemen stop talking to the children so that they wouldn't "talk like you."
Stone is also accused of ridiculing Elemen for attending church, and once forbidding her from reading the Bible in the actress' home.
The lawsuit alleges that things got worse for Elemen in January 2011. Stone paid her overtime for working during holidays and traveling, but the complaint says she later accused the nanny of "stealing" by accepting the overtime pay. After Elemen complained and refused to return the pay, Stone began reducing her hours and berating her in front of other staff.

Just about every film at Sundance is a world premiere. So why is there a "Premieres" section, and how is it different than the Competition or the Spotlight or the New Frontiers or the Next or...okay, I think that's all of them. Sundance describes Premieres as "a showcase of some of the most highly anticipated dramatic films of the coming year from new and established directors" and Documentary Premieres as "about big subjects or by master filmmakers that showcase the power of the form."
Basically, what it really means is here's where you find the attention-grabbers at Sundance. These are the big honking movies, the movies featuring Hollywood directors and talent coming down from their Valhalla of craft services and video village to get their hands dirty with the independents. These are the movies that have the biggest red carpets and the majority of the press coverage (see this post).
