Actor Jesse Spencer was one of the draws to Chicago Fire.
The veteran actor joined the NBC drama after starring as Dr. Robert Chase on 173 episodes of House.
House was a huge hit on Fox, featuring Hugh Laurie playing the lead character, Dr. Gregory House.
House ran for eight successful years on Fox before ending in the spring of 2012.
Chicago Fire debuted in the fall of 2012, meaning Jesse Spencer was back to work on a new drama in the summer television hiatus.
Jesse had gone for eight straight seasons of House right into another drama that put out 20+ episodes each year.
Why did Jesse Spencer leave Chicago Fire?
Jesse decided to leave Chicago Fire after Season 9. He returned for a few episodes in Season 10 to help write off the character.
After working in television for roughly 18 straight years, Jesse noted how he wanted to take a break to spend more time with his family.

Spencer portrayed Matt Casey on the Dick Wolf drama for the first nine seasons. He left during the the fifth episode of Season 10, as the character moved to Oregon with a three-year commitment to a new job.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the “Two Hundred” episode of “Chicago Fire.”
After blazing a trail on NBC’s “Chicago Fire” for almost a decade, Aussie actor Jesse Spencer has exited the Wolf Entertainment action-drama during the popular show’s milestone 200th episode aptly titled “Two Hundred.” During the episode, his character Matthew Casey makes a “life-altering decision” to move to Oregon with a three-year commitment, which leads to him being written off of the series.
“Chicago Fire” executive producer Derek Haas spoke to the press the Monday before the episode’s premiere to confirm Spencer’s exit in advance, noting that he had “bittersweet feelings — or just bitter feelings” about the actor’s departure from the series. Haas thanked Spencer for “years of amazing friendship and service and acting and making the show credible,” and acknowledged that although he personally thought the episode turned out well,...

During the third episode of “Six,” History’s new original series about a fictionalized group of Navy SEALs that run missions “inspired by” real operations, a captured ex-seal played by Walton Goggins sits in captivity with a Nigerian teacher and her students. He tries to bond with the teacher — in order to recruit her for an escape plan — and comfort her after she was sexually assaulted by a guard. But she’s suspicious of the American military, and tells him how ashamed her family will be of her if she ever sees them again.

When Hollywood comes up with a good idea, it seems like it’s all you see for years. Maybe the reason is because Hollywood writers spend so much time experimenting with different formulas for success that when they finally strike something that brings in the gold, they ride that vein the mountain until it’s beyond dried up. Hollywood is ultimately a business, and a very smart one at that. They would be stupid to see something was making money and to not squeeze the idea for all that it is worth.
This is the reason the vampire theme went on for so long some even argue that it’s not over yet. Twilight obviously was the culprit for starting the trend, but it didn’t stop there. If you think through the last 8 years your life, you can probably come up with at least 10 movies or television shows that...

Fringe fans have been waiting for this moment ever since the season ended back in May. Peter stepped into the machine and brought both universes together, wanting to bridge the gap between the two and work together to fix things. But then he blinked out of existence, and out of everyone's memories.
After our favorite Lincoln Lee (Seth Gabrel) was promoted to series regular, fans have been on their toes all summer long about Peter's role this season, the ever-growing presence of the Observers and the collision of the two worlds.
So without further ado, Fringe's season four premier brought us:
The Observers confirm that Peter has been erased from existence, but they either didn't do their job right or he's still fighting, because pieces of him are still flashing about. The Observer receives a pencil-like metal piece from (what we assume) is his Observer-superior and goes shopping for spare electrical parts,...

Weeks after Lisa Edelstein shocked fans by departing the Fox drama, Jesse Spencer has re-signed with the show he's called home for seven years, Tweeting the news himself. The actor will be back in the role of Dr. Robert Chase this fall.

Fans of the Fox medical drama House remained concerned about the show’s upcoming eighth season with Lisa Edelstein, who played the boss and love interest to Hugh Laurie’s titular character, unexpectedly choosing to leave the show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, some calm returned to the show and its devoted fan base when series regular Jesse Spencer decided to renew his contract as Dr. Robert Chase, a longtime member of House’s medical team. Like Edelstein, Spencer started with the show at its debut season. Earlier, House Executive Producer David Shore told the Writers Guild Foundation he was caught completely off-guard when Edelstein decided not to renew her contract. "The hardest part about her being gone is we lost an important character to write stories about," Shore said.

After Lisa Edelstein announced she wouldn't return to the hallowed halls of Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, 'House' couldn't take the blow of another major cast member leaving.
That's why the news that Jesse Spencer, also known as dreamy Aussie Dr. Robert Chase on the Fox hit, is returning to the show for season 8 is so exciting. Spencer tweeted the news yesterday after surfing in California, saying "I'm coming back for season 8 with a tan and a busted board."
According to TVLine, the deal went down late Tuesday night. There's no word yet on whether soon-to-be-mega-movie-star Olivia Wilde (this summer's 'Cowboys & Aliens') is returning to the show, but 'House' creator David Shore told TVLine in May that he expects her to be back in some capacity, but maybe not as large a role as she had before.

Hey Guys,
I just had an idea for a new feature for the website, where we will have listed all the people who are on twitter who are in the TV world. That place will be here in this post, and we can try to keep it up to date with all the latest shows and people joining from around the globe with connections to television.
Of course, I don't have the names and twitter accounts for all the people on twitter, but I've made a start and now you can send in all the twitter accounts you know of for us to add to the collection :)

There will be more of Jennifer Morrison in the next season of "House M.D.". Having brought back for an upcoming episode titled "Lockdown", the actress who plays Dr. Allison Cameron told TV Guide magazine that she will still have a few more episodes down the lines since the writers have prepared a storyline for her character.
"There have been discussions of me doing a few episodes next year based on what they end up writing," the 30-year-old gushed. "Contractually, they've guaranteed me a certain number of episodes next year - I think three or four, which means that they're probably very much leaning toward writing a storyline for the character."
Cameron has been seen walking out on her love interest, Jesse Spencer's Robert Chase as well as her job at Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital in the eighth episode of season 6, and has been missing from the series ever since. However, she...

Your questions, my answers...
"House"! Please!!!!!! When is it coming back? Is it canceled? -JamieFeels that way, no? Thankfully, the Princeton Plainsboro crew finally returns this Monday (Mar. 8) after a month-long hiatus.
Any Chase (Jesse Spencer) scoop for me? -MelanieIndeed. Dude is going speed dating! And sources tell me House and Wilson may be as well. I hear Chase participates reluctantly, however there are several attractive women guest starring in this speed dating ep, who will show up next week as well... so perhaps it's not a complete disaster of an idea.
When is Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) returning? -PerrCameron's special episode should air in April from what I understand. Expect a very emotional ride for both her and Chase when the two are forced to finally confront the demise of their relationship.
If I don't get something new on the love of my life, Dr. Robert Chase, I might lose it.
