The Voice UK kicked off its all-important battles with a two-hour spectacular tonight, as 24 acts got paired up for 12 bouts in the ring. As Sir Tom Jones pointed out, "no biting" and "no kicking" was allowed - instead it was (surprise!) all about the voice.
With each coach being granted two steals this series, it was all to play for, all bets were off and it was all going down to the wire. Right, that's enough sporting phrases - let's get the ball rolling! (Sorry.)
Battle #1: Joyful Soundz vs Newtion Matthews
Team: Will
Song: 'Shout' - The Isley Brothers
What happened in rehearsals? This is one of the funniest battle rehearsals we have ever seen, ever. Will was babbling about how 'Shout' is one of his favourite songs "on the entire planet' ("Even if I was to take a spaceship out of space it would still be my favourite...

With The Voice UK battles starting on Saturday, we need all the info we can get to prepare. Luckily enough for us, we were hanging out with Ricky Wilson recently - so we managed to get him to talk us through his team act by act.
It's fair to say he's feeling pretty confident. "It's hard to blow my own trumpet because I've been in an indie band too long - that's not what we do," he joked. "But everyone backstage from the BBC and everything said that I had the strongest team." Blimey! So the signs are good for the 12 acts who make up Team Ricky... but here's what he had to say about them...
1. Stevie McCrorie
"I get on really well with Stevie. That was great. He chose me over other people as well! It's crazy. But Stevie, I think that he's a sensible guy and we've been talking a lot.

The Voice UK star Tim Arnold has revealed that he thought he would get disqualified from the show after Ricky Wilson saw him on his morning run.
Arnold joined Team Ricky in this weekend's show and told Digital Spy that he feels he has "a lot in common" with the Kaiser Chiefs frontman and was "overwhelmed with emotion" when he made it through to the next round.
"I didn't think I was going to be on that show any longer than one appearance at the blind audition," he said. "My career – which is something that I love – has always been underground. And all the opportunities that have happened that may have given me more exposure have never worked out.
"I always take each day as it comes and I just really didn't expect that I would be on that show any longer than that blind audition. So it was hard...

The Voice UK is in its fourth week of blind auditions and things are getting serious. Well, sort of. I mean, there was still time for Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson to gush about their blossoming bromance. But not much time, because fifteen acts tried to get those chairs spinning in tonight's show.
Ten of them made it through, too, making this a pretty packed instalment of blind auditions - but who made the biggest impression? Who will we be excited about seeing in the next round? Read on to find out what we thought of this week's auditionees...
1. Sharon Murphy
Song: 'Forever Young' - Bob Dylan
Team: Team Tom (Ricky also turned)
Sharon hasn't had the easiest of lives; she opened up in her pre-audition video about growing up in an orphanage and experiencing racism. She said that music is a "real solace" for her and wow,...

The Voice UK is back tomorrow and we've already brought you some spoilers about what to expect, but if that's still not enough for you then don't worry - now, we have some sneak peeks at the auditions.
First up is Ross Harris, who you might have heard a little bit about - because his cousin is Liam Payne from some band called One Direction. But can the session drummer - who has played for acts like The Saturdays and Ella Henderson - convince the coaches to turn around?
Also taking part in the show this weekend are duo The Mac Bros, a Liverpool-based duo who decide to perform not one, not two, but three songs. Will their ambition win over the coaches?
And our third sneak peek is at Tim Arnold (whose mum is Polly Perkins, aka Rose Cotton from EastEnders!) He was signed with his band Jocasta in the '90s,...

As glamorous as Sofia Vergara's recent roles have been -- as Ed O'Neill's sassy on-screen wife Gloria on ABC's "Modern Family" and as Odile, a cosmetics executive in this weekend's "The Smurfs" -- we mustn't forget that the Colombian beauty had a very unglamorous introduction to Hollywood nearly a decade ago.
Before winning Emmy nominations, cosmetic contracts and national acclaim for her work on America's favorite comedy, Sofia Vergara was getting her toes sucked by Stanley Tucci. But let's start at the beginning.
The thickly accented actress, born in Barranquilla, Colombia, was discovered by a photographer when she was walking on a beach. By the age of 20, Vergara had appeared in a Pepsi commercial and was working as a runway and television model. Modeling transitioned into hosting work (Vergara co-hosted two Univisión series in the '90s), and by 2002, the model-turned-actress had moved to Hollywood to make her U.
