Supernatural: A Very Supernatural Christmas (2007)
Don't like doing this
I hate posting a review when i don't feel passionate about how amazing an episode of movie is this episode is great but there is no writing acting or subplot or subtext that i feel i have to mention how genius it is just want to address two other reviews.
Mike Abrams, he didn't say "Devin" he said "Dive in" as in telling Sam dive into his gifts you went through the trouble of putting that in a review and you didn't think to check the subtitles sorry dude but thats is just dumb also if you really thought it was a goof then submit it as a goof not a review unless your intention was to show everybody how smart you are and how nothing gets past you.
Amanda, just chill out girl if you are a full blown pagan don't take everything likes its a personal attack on your faith if you looked hard enough there's something insulting all religions in SPN and all religions deserve it because am done with this freedom of religion crap organised religion in WRONG! and because of it countless people have died all through history so please don't look so hard into things don't take everything so personally because i know your thinking oh no now people are gonna think us pagans are evil things that torture people, cancel that because everyone know not to take everything you see so seriously the media tries to demonize Muslims and even people that know very little about the Muslim faith or the pagan faith know that your all the same people as us with the same basic morals regardless of your personal religion.
May the force be with you!
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Conversations with Dead People (2002)
realised something about this episode that annoyed me!!
I really enjoyed this episode the whole opening and closing with that nice song and seeing the characters about there business without words how they deal with there own little encounters alone and don't interact with any other characters through out the episode.
This episode was a great opening to the rest of the season which pretty much follows the same story no more episodes cutting away from the season story arc and opening a whole load of worms for the next episodes, I enjoyed Andrew and Jonathon talking about how they really wanted to be part of Buffy's gang and Jonathon's little speech about how he misses high school and misses the people that never cared or noticed him I like how it shows how he's grown up and and gotten better adjusted even tho the world was about to fall apart he was content which is great giving that 4 years prior he tried to kill himself, Dawn taking on a monster and saving the day in her little story was great how she didn't leave the house and wanted to stay to save her Moms spirit shows how she has drastically matured since season 6, the spike revelation was fantastic especially how they delivered it with Holden giving the news in a way that makes the audience come to the same conclusion at the same time as Buffy, Genius! A few problems with the episode I read that originally they planned to get Tara to visit Willow instead of Cassie but decided against it because the writers didn't want the evil villain to be the last time we saw Tara which I thought was a huge mistake it would be awesome to see them go to that extreme and seeing Tara evil like in the video game would be awesome. Also they wanted to get Jesse (Eric Balfor) from the 1st two episodes to visit Xander, his best friend who died at the start and was never mentioned again which I think explains Xander's prejudice against vampires how he never warmed to Angel or Spike, having him return would be awesome and i would have loved to see that scene would be so interesting because Xander doesn't get that much male fellow characters that are the same as him, Giles-too old Spike-too...well spike, I didn't like how they killed Jonathon with all he's been through over the Series I think he deserved to get a better exit like giving his life to save another you know something heroic or at least have Buffy and her crew Mourn him even a little I think he deserved that, Something occurred to me in this episode when Buffy was saying to Holden how she's sorry but she can't let him leave, she can be very prejudice you know for a woman who seems so quick to forgive her friends when they kill people Willow, Anya, Spike, Angel, Faith and Andrew she kills vampires as soon as they rise people that were innocent victims she doesn't give them a chance just kills them because there vampires and in her eyes all vampires are evil, Kinda like Hitler and the Jews in that respect I'm not saying that she should set them all free because yeah a lot of them will kill but her ethnic cleansing isn't the answer these things haven't killed anybody (yet) maybe never even harmed anybody but she will protected her friends that have put more people in the ground than Smallpox.
Don't get me wrong i love Buffy Its been my favourite show since i was 7 and always will be but you get older little things seem to occur to you that haven't before.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Hell's Bells (2002)
42 minutes well spent
I have been a BTVS and angel fan since i was 6 years old and i know I will love this show forever if this was an episode in a different show it would be 10/10 but with BTVS i have to use a different standard
the comedy of this episode is great Xander's family and Anya's demons rioting and Buffy's reaction to it rolling her eyes was hysterical I thought the drama at the end was great, great acting on all front's.
I only have two small problems with this episode. 1. it seems to me that the reason Xander and Anya didn't get married wasn't because that is where the story needed to go or anything it seems to me the writers didn't want to push Xander and Anya that certain step further as if they didn't want to upset the status quo with changing the characters circumstances to that degree
2. also i didn't like that the demon/future Xander thing for a start why couldn't have it been really future Xander showing what the future was really going to be that would have been very interesting and gave a solid reason why they didn't tie the knot instead of just cold feet on Xander's part but i do like the idea of one of the punished men from Anya's past wanting revenge because at the end of the day Anya was evil and some of the men should be entitled to it cheating on a wife doesn't really deserve being turned into a demon and being tortured in another dimension, they killed the demon in the end which i don't really think was fair he was wronged and wanted revenge he didn't try and kill Xander or Anya he tried to break them up and then he hit Anya a few times in my opinion he deserved to get a little vengeance killing him with a piller to the head wasn't just, sometimes the writers and characters get a little carried away and don't really think about some of the moral issues
but thats just my opinion still a great episode in an amazing show
American Psycho II: All American Girl (2002)
An insult to a piece of art
American psycho is one of my all time favourite films and when i heard there was a 2nd one I was so exited but let down.
If this film was just on its own which it could have been all you would have to do is switch Bateman for some random serial killer it would have been watchable but it just doesn't match up with the first one and I don't even think it understands the first one because when you watch the first one you see Bateman is cool calm and normal on the outside but when he kills he's like a rabid dog a proper psycho but the 2nd one paints him out to be someone who ties up his victim's toys with them slowly and even wears a face mask to hide his insanity, that is not what Bateman was, Bateman became an animal when he killed not a cold calculating killer never has a sequel not only failed to match up with the original but even didn't seem to understand what the 1st one was in short if the film stood alone without any connections to American psycho it would have been passable but following the first one it just got everything completely wrong didn't even stay in the same genre American psycho was a genius film which explored society in 80s new york with a wonderful narration and ambiguous ending American psycho 2 was a dumb slasher film that a 7 year old would understand it didn't just fail to exceed the first it insulted what the first one was and everybody involved owes Bret Easton Ellis, Mary Harron and Christion Bale an apology for pissing on a work of art.
The Inbetweeners (2008)
It's great although some won't agree
Some people will hate this and damn it to hell the sense of humour in it isn't the same as everyone's I may just think its hilarious because I'm the same age as the characters and they do talk and act the same as 16-18 year old guys. Even if you hate it you can't argue that's its not realistic because it is the most close show to the people it covers if you get me everything they do the the show is what boys in that age group do well maybe not everything like jacking off in a old woman's room or hitting retards in the face with a Frisbee but the insults to each other and how there's always that one friend who lies about his sexual conquests and says the most filthiest stuff you can ever hear that's all spot on also the trying to get in to the cool house parties or get served at the pub maybe older viewers don't get that but its something we teens relate to and find hilarious.
Give it a shot its smarter than it makes out to be.
Remember Me (2010)
Made me stop hating Robert.
I was messing around on the internet and read about this film and read about the ending of it after hearing about the ending i really wanted to see it. One of the best films I've seen in years the only problem was i found out about the ending before i watched the film BIGGEST mistake ever!!! but even tho i knew how it would end i was still shocked. the rest of the film was amazing also it draws you in to the characters more than any film I've seen in forever I don't think i blinked once i was that sucked in. i hate twilight i think its such a knock off of Buffy and also kinda Roswell if you watch it you will know what i mean but that doesn't mean Robert Pattinson is bad as well i unfairly judged him because of twilight he is a really good actor. everyone go and see this film but whatever you do don't read about what happens in it go in to it blind sit throw it all you will be very happy you did!
House M.D.: The Tyrant (2009)
old team again
Happy Days it seems like were back to the old team which nobody can argue is a wonderful thing because anybody that has bin watching it from the start knows seasons 1-3 were far better than 4 and 5 and it seems like the writers have at last noticed that and are putting it back to the way it should be the only good thing about the new team was the comic relief that Kutner brought to the show but now that he's dead and the occasional lesbian scenes that 13 brought are now done because shes paired with foreman basically there was no reason not to return the show to normality and they have at the perfect moment i for one can't wait to see what this season brings because the seasons with the old team did bring the best story lines like Vogler (season 1) Foreman as the patient (season 2) and Tritter of course in season 3 which they should defiantly bring him back maybe as a patient to see if house would treat him or if Tritter respects him now that house is off the drugs and maybe they should write in that house actually killed Kutner in a state of insanity because house was going a bit nuts duering the time of Kutners death.
