Bye Bye Birdie (1995 TV Movie)

could Vanessa Williams be any better?
10 July 2003
when you add up all the aspects from the movie---the dancing, singing, acting---the only one who stands out as the best in the cast is Vanessa Williams...her dedication, energy and timeless beauty make Rosie the perfect role for her. Never have i ever seen someone portray Rose with such vibrancy! Vanessa's singing talent shows beautifully with all the songs she performs as Rose and her acting skills never cease to amaze me! Her dancing is so incredible, even if as some people say the choreography was bad---her dancing skills were displayed better than ever before! I'd recommend this version over the '63 just because i find that although lengthy the acting by Vanessa is superb-----not to mention the fact that Jason Alexander and the rest of the cast are very impressive as well (with the exception of Chynna Philips...what in hell were they thinking when they cast her?)

All in all I'd say this version is wonderful and I recommend that everyone see this version!

Murder in Greenwich (2002 TV Movie)
wonderful

This was truly a insightful way of looking into the Moxley case. Marth and her family deserved for their story to be seen and now they have gotten their chance. The actors in the show were very talented and had the characteristics of each character they played. Maggie Grace as Martha was amazing...she looked a lot like Martha. I'd say this was one of the best tv movies i have seen in a long time!

Best Acting I've seen in a long time!
10 August 2001
The Americanization Of Emily was a very well directed, starred, and written movie! Julie as Emily and James as Charlie (as Emily affectionately calls him) were perfect choices for both roles in my opinion. I couldn't have chosen a better British actress to play Emily. Julie was superb as always. And James was as handsome as ever. I didn't get to watch the whole movie but for what i saw I'd have to say that i did get caught up in the story. The ending is exceptional. it pleased me to see Emily end up very happy as did Charlie. The speech Julie gives to James at the end of the movie really did inspire me and it did Charlie. If u noticed that i have written a lot about MS. ANDREWS it is because I do admire her very much and i think she is one of the best actresses out there. So now i have to give a closing note about the movie, kinda like a sentence to describe it.

Great stars, great story, great reviews.

Camelot (1967)

What I feel
8 August 2001
Personally, if u ask me....compared to the broadway version i have seen and to other musicals casting could've been quite a bit better. If I had to compare it to other musicals that were released around the same time (ex. The Sound Of Music, My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins, etc.) I would have to say that it wasn't all that it could've been and that it was not nearly as successful as many of the other movies released were--especially The Sound Of Music. Casting would've been better if they had asked people who had been in the Broadway version o star in the movie (ex. Richard Burton, Julie Andrews, Robert Goulet, etc.) And if some of the characters in the broadway show had been in the movie as well (Nimue, Horrid the dog, etc.) The casting of Vanessa Redgrave, Richard Harris, and Redgrave's husband at the time- Franco Nero gave the movie a dimension of falseness. I could definitely tell that they were acting (it didn't look real) and the chemistry between a few of the actors or actresses was not there and that disappointed me very much. When I played the role of Guenevere in my school's production of Camelot I did not consult the video i consulted a friend who did the broadway version---her name shall not be mentioned. I hope that if you read this and do not agree that you email me and tell me your opinion of the movie so i can see where i could be wrong.

Many thanks, MissCuite1
