The Sixth Sense (1999)
Excellent movie, a must see
Good story, good scares without special effects like in the haunting, good believable characters, good actors, etc... a very good film. I dropped my guard and jumped a couple of times.
The little boy who played Cole is amazingly good.
If you like good stories and good acting and a character driven drama filled with chills and without a million special effects you'll love the sixth sense
If you want to chat about it my ICQ number is 35321097

The Blair Witch Project (1999)
scrap, boring, bad, disgusting
Need I go on. The worst film I have ever seen. It is of bad taste to take advantage or three young people that might have been murdered and cut in pieces and show this to every one.
This film isn't scary and there is nothing going on. I can only feel sad for these three young people. The authors of this film (atrocity) should be prosecuted and put to jail.
I nearly felt asleep during that film or should I say that thing!!!.
Father Figure (1980)
Good film for the whole family
A potent film that depicts in a realist manner the terrible crisis a family will go through afer a major drama.
Story:
A mother commits suicide after her husband has left her while her oldest son is 9 and her youngest a baby. Then after 8 years this father comes back to his kids. The youngest young grows close to him as the oldest one, played by Timothy Hutton (who gives a great performance), hates him and so on...
Very well played. Very good story.
A must for families going through rough times.
Angels in the Outfield (1994)
Great movie for all the family
This movie is obvious from the beginning but it is a nice, entertaining and funy movie that the whole family will enjoy
There are so few movies nowdays for the whole family with morals that when you see one you go and see it and then you buy the Cassette (VHS or DVD) and whatch it from time to time
I strongly recommend this movie for families having problems staying put together.
I enjoyed it.
Hometime (1992)
Greatest home improvement show
The hosts are good and let us "do it yourselfers" that we can do it.
Dean Johnson is great I hope new episodes will be available since most episodes we see in Canada are between 1990 and 1993.
The Judas Project (1990)
Great movie
I liked the movie as far as the special effects are concerned. The actors were good and Ray Holtman for a man who was not an actor but a true Born Again Christian who wanted to do one last thing for God before he died of his cancer requested the part did a hec of a good job.
The story was meant to carry the message of the Gospel to teens and people in the 20es I hope it goes through as well as it does with people my age, 40, who have been Christians for some years. Some scenes as the crucifiction were intense and breath taking.
All in all a great movie.
The Lost Boys (1987)
A very memorable movie from the 80s
Good acting, good story, good dialogues, stunning special effects. The movie could be redone now in the late 90s as horror movies seem to be popular.
Independence Day (1996)
Great FX, underdeveloped characters and poorly used actors
This movie is great if you want to see a lot of FX effects, if you like S-Fi and if you like the good guys to win.
I liked it though the story was not that developed, the characters were a bit trivial and sterotypical and the actors (who are very good Jeff Godblum, Bill Pulman Will Smith) were not used to their full potential. But it is worth seeing a couple or times or more...
The Prince of Egypt (1998)
A masterpiece
This film is a masterpiece. The story is great, very close to the Bible, the computer animation is high class, the songs are superb and the voices of the two ladies are so charming.
This film will be a classic, will make a fortune and is a film for mature audiences that will also please children.
I recommend this movie to anyone whether you are a believer or not you cannot stay untouched by the stroy, the effects, the voices, etc...
Deep Impact (1998)
Great and realistic movie
I have studied in astrophysics for years and as far as I am concerned I agree with Jacob. This movie is better in all ways than Armageddon.
The plot is good, the characters are true, realistic and you love them and feel for them. The special effects are wonderful and so much realistic.
This movie actually depicts what would happen if a comet would collide with earth. The humour in this movie is way more acceptable than in Armagedon.
I give a 10/10 for this movie.
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954)
Great movie
I have seen this movie about at least 20 times and though not totally faithful to the book it was a great movie with special effects that were astonishing for the era with no computers.
I recommend this movie to anyone who is imaginative and likes adventures and likes to dream.
