The Helldivers 2 team probably didn’t expect the game to blow up the way that it did on release. Remember, the servers were in shambles the first few weeks simply because they could not handle the sheer amount of people who wanted to try it out themselves.
Ever since then, the community has continued to grow. However, with this kind of audience comes a lot of toxicity that the Arrowhead Game Studios’ ex-ceo, Johan Pilestedt, refuses to stay silent about.
Pilestedt Calls Out Toxicity Within Helldivers 2 Fandom
The Helldivers 2 fandom’s toxicity is reaching extreme heights
In a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Pilestedt spoke about the highs and lows of having such a large community, and how the team is still learning to deal with some of the cons.
With over 12 million copies sold, the game has an overwhelmingly large player base, especially for a company that previously dealt with a much smaller-scale game.

Deadlock has not yet been officially announced, but Valve’s new game is already stirring up social media due to recent leaks. Last week, Tyler McVicker, a journalist covering the developer, reported on its development and mentioned that the game was in a closed testing phase.
Now, new information has surfaced online, including a short leaked gameplay that provides more details about the game in production. Although it is not the long-awaited Half-Life 3, this gameplay demonstrates that Gabe Newell still knows how to create engaging games, and his new title will be a mix of several popular concepts on the market, like Overwatch and MOBAs.

Preparing for an upcoming flight isn’t just limited to packing your clothes and toiletries — have you thought about how you’re going to keep yourself entertained? The idealist in all of us might say we’re gonna read that book we’ve been putting off, but depending on the length of your flight, that may be easier said than done. If it’s on the longer side, it can be easy to get distracted and start to really feel the minutes crawling by.

Some movies transport you from your dreary, everyday existence into a fascinating world of excitement and wonder. And then there are films like “Zero Contact,” which make you wish you were taking out the cat litter or regrouting the bathroom tiles instead of watching it.
“Zero Contact” stars Sir Anthony Hopkins as Finley Hart, a billionaire technology guru who, at the start of the film, has already died and left his mysterious final project, “The Quantinuum Initiative,” unfinished.
After his death, a group of people directly connected to Finley are summoned to a mysterious video chat, where they are told to input their secret codes and activate the Quantinuum Initiative. It’s a process that should take all of 45 seconds, but they have an hour to do it, because first they have to dump a metric ton of exposition, debate each other’s motives and get picked off by a...

Willis’ eldest daughter, Rumer Willis, made the announcement on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a joint statement from his family about Willis’ condition. Aphasia is caused by brain damage, and affects an individual’s ability to communicate.
“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities,” Rumer Willis wrote in the statement. “As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

Yippee-ki-yay, Bruce Willis sure has a lot to celebrate the day before the 2022 Academy Award nominees are announced.
The Razzie Awards, also known as the de facto anti-Oscars, just crowned prolific action star Willis as the first actor to receive their very own awards category: Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie.
Golden Globe winner Willis, who is now a leading star of producer Randall Emmett’s “Geezer Teasers,” as coined by Vulture, appeared in eight direct-to-video films this past year. The Razzie-nominated films are “American Siege,” “Apex,” “Midnight in the Switchgrass,” “Cosmic Sin,” “Deadlock,” “Fortress,” “Out of Death,” and “Survive the Game,” which were all part of a Half in the Bag review episode by YouTube channel, Red Letter Media.

As is tradition, the Golden Raspberry Awards announced their contenders on the eve of the Oscar nominations. The Razzies, now in their 42nd year, are a tongue-in-cheek ceremony that “honor” the worst films of the year. Scroll down for the full list of nominees in all 10 Razzie Awards categories ranging from Worst Picture to Worst Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel. Unique to this year is a category dedicated to Bruce Willis and his eight performances in pictures last year.
Leading the 2022 Razzie Awards nominations roster is the Netflix version of the Broadway flop “Diana: The Musical” with nine bids. Tied with five apiece are “Karen” and “The Woman in the Window.” Each of these ill-conceived movies counts a Worst Picture nomination among its haul. Joining them in that race are the sequel “Space Jam: A New Legacy” and the sci-fi flick “Infinite.”
As usual, “winners” will be decided by Razzie members.

"I saw it and felt something I'd never felt before." The easiest way to introduce this: what if someone made Ghostbusters gritty & real, like how Christopher Nolan made his Batman movies gritty & real? Deadlock is a sci-fi short proof-of-concept created, produced, written & directed by filmmaking team John X. Carey + Aqsa Altaf. In a world where the living have the imprisoned the spirits of the dead in a server facility called "Deadlock" - an officer there is having a day from hell. The film tells a few stories about people involved in running the facility, mainly the crew who round up the ghosts. The short stars Joey Auzenne, Langston Fishburne, Jenna Qureshi, Brandon Scales, and Christopher Newman. This features an impressive amount of world-building and style, one hell of a proof-of-concept for sure. A refreshing take on ghosts, too. Thanks to Short of the Week for the tip on this one.
