Storyline
Plot Summary |
Jim's shackled to his former parole officer, Marcus Hayes (Louis Gossett Jr.), who's now a PI himself, when competition for a new NBA franchise ensnares both men. Jim can't figure which jock/sucker, the motor mouth Marc is working for, but whoever it is, they're causing Jim a lot of pain - the physical kind. Written by David Stevens |

Did You Know?
Trivia | The first appearance of Louis Gossett Jr. (wearing an obvious hair-piece, as Gossett always shaved his head, as will be seen in his second series appearance) as private eye/con man Marcus Hayes. James Garner liked to work with actors he had previously worked with and Mr. Gossett was no exception. The pair had co-starred in Skin Game (1971), in which they played a pair of late 19th century con men. See more » |
Goofs | Throughout the series, Rockford is out of prison because he was pardoned but in this episode, Hayes is the parole officer who sent Rockford back up for breaking parole. See more » |
