- Throughout this episode the Ferengis are planning on selling some of the female crew members into slavery, and it's implied that they're referring to sexual slavery.
- Trip Tucker spends the first 20 mins. of this episode in a tank top and a tight fitting pair of boxer briefs after escaping from the decon room.
- The Ferrengi are attracted to T'Pol.
- When Trip wakes T'Pol from the sleeping gas, she sees him in his underwear and he says, "Just because a guy is in his underwear, you assume the worst."

- The Ferrengi sneak a gas bomb onto Enterprise and the entire crew (with the exeption of Commander Tucker) are rendered unconscious. This is not seen, but when some of the crew wakes up, they explain what happened.
- Captain Archer is beat up pretty badly by the Ferrengi.

- T'Pol's ear is touched in a sexual way by one of the Ferengis, and later on as she's talking to another Ferengi to get him to feel compassion for her so that she can trick him she says that the humans have been keeping her as a slave and touches the Ferengi's ears in a sexual way.
