Though she's busy filming the sci-fi drama "Under the Skin" with "Sexy Beast" director Jonathan Glazer, Johansson is apparently prepping her directorial debut with an adaptation of Truman Capote's novella "Summer Crossing."
Variety has learned that Johansson will get behind the camera with the long-lost Capote novella about an 18-year-old girl coming into her own in post-World War II New York. Grady is a carefree young socialite who must make some serious decisions about a romance she is pursuing and the way it will effect those around her. It is compared to Capote's hit novella "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

Catherine Hardwicke's next film will be the film version of Martha O'Connor's novel The Bitch Posse.
According to Deadline, Tristine Skyler wrote the script and it will be co-produced by Virginia Madsen, who originally optioned the book. Skyler is that blond chick who was in Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows! She's also appeared on TV in the series Angel and was in that really weird slasher film starring Dawson from Dawson's Creek called Final Draft. She's also a writer, and aside from The Bitch Posse, she's penning the heavy script for The Bell Jar adaptation due in 2012 from director Nicole Kassell. No. Shit.
So, The Bitch Posse is about three high school friends, Cherry, Amy and Rennie, who call themselves The Bitch Posse. These are troubled girls, however: outlaws, rebels, outcasts. And something horrible happens to them, causing their adulthoods to be fucked up royally forever.
I haven't read this book,...
