Netflix is in production on a documentary series about the life and death of popular U.K. television presenter Jill Dando, who was killed in 1999.
On the morning of April 26, 1999, Dando was shot dead outside her home in West London. Her murder became one of the most high profile and complex investigations in British history. Dando’s death led to one of the largest investigations launched in the history of the Metropolitan Police. A suspect was convicted and imprisoned for eight years, but was acquitted after an appeal and retrial. Despite the police identifying several other suspects, Dando’s murder remains unsolved.
After working as a trainee reporter for a local weekly newspaper, Dando began to work for the BBC, where she spent most of her career, starting as a newsreader for BBC Radio Devon in 1985. After stints in regional television, Dando moved to London to present national news from...

Her Private Hell is a cautionary tale of an innocent girl abroad caught up in London’s sleazy world of modelling, and was Britain’s first narrative sex film. Previously unreleased, it finally comes to DVD and Blu-ray for the first time on 20th February 2012 in a Dual Format Edition on the BFI’s celebrated Flipside label. The new, director-approved High Definition transfer is accompanied by a wealth of rare and fascinating extra features and a comprehensive booklet.
Starring the Italian actress Lucia Modugno (Il generale Della Rovere, Danger: Diabolik), and directed by Norman J. Warren (Satan’s Slave, Prey, Terror), Her Private Hell put Britain on the map in the realm of home- grown adult features. The storyline features beautiful but naïve Marisa who arrives from the continent for a job as a fashion model, but soon discovers she’s being groomed for a different purpose.

Updated with video at the end of the post.
"Twilight: Breaking Dawn" (parts 1 and 2) may not be the end for the teen vampire saga. Director Bill Condon may have an inside line to author Stephenie Meyer's plans for a possible continuation of the story in more books and movies.
"It's the end of the Bella/Edward story," said Condon at a Thursday (July 21) Comic-Con press conference, "but there are so many new characters at the end of the second movie that I suspect she would want to revisit them some time."
Could that mean Robert Pattinson (Edward), Kristen Stewart (Bella) and Taylor Lautner (Jacob) could be absent from any future sequels that could, for instance, follow the the next generation of vamps (or, to get slightly spoiler-y vamp/human hybrids)?
"You sound like you have some secret knowledge," said Lautner. "You're conveniently not mentioning Jacob, though."

Judging by the masses camped outside the San Diego Convention Center, waiting to glimpse Twilight stars as they arrived at Comic-Con this morning, it's safe to say there's still a huge audience for an ongoing franchise, right? Which was just the question on everyone's minds today as Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene and many others hosted a press conference at the nearby Hilton Bayfront: Will Stephenie Meyer pen an additional installment—or two? The stars dropped a few surprises about the possibility of Twi-life after Breaking Dawn - Part 2: "Yeah like Breakfast Time. Twilight, Eclipse...and then like Breakfast Time or Brunch," Rob...

Before taking the stage for their big Breaking Dawn panel at Comic-Con, the movie's biggest stars - Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner - did a press conference with reporters about the film. As usual, the close-knit trio brought plenty of laughs as Rob revealed ideas for a new Twilight film, Kristen lamented having trouble working with kids on set, and Taylor talked about his big imprinting scene. Here are the fun highlights: On the most secretive scenes to film: Ks: "The wedding, definitely. It was Secret-Service-style insane. The crew was completely inconvenienced. No phones, no emails . . . but I was like 'If this dress gets on the Internet, I'll die.' I had a Volturi cloak on, that was all we had to cover up, it was really funny." On whether Breaking Dawn is the end of the Twilight Saga: Rp: [Laughing] "Breakfast time! Twilight, Eclipse, Breakfast Time . . . I guess...

Shaun Ryder has admitted that he misses being in the jungle as part of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The former campmate said that he has now even warmed to controversial contestant Gillian McKeith. "I wish I was still back there! Breakfast time, dinner time, bed, loved it... people are still my problem, but I've got a bit better with them," Ryder said on ITV1's This Morning. The show's runner-up had a number of notorious arguments with McKeith during the series and had previously described her as an "irritating woman", but claims that he can (more)...

Chicago – Mel Gibson’s return to the big screen in the thriller “Edge of Darkness” was relatively disappointing at the box office this weekend (opening with Gibson’s lowest first weekend box office since 1995) but not only is that film worth your time but you should definitely take a look at the award-winning 1985 BBC mini-series that inspired it, directed by the same filmmaker, Martin Campbell (“Casino Royale”).
DVD Rating: 4.5/5.0
The original “Edge of Darkness” was both way ahead of its time and a definite product of its era. The dramatic drive of the piece would play just as well on television now as it did a quarter-century ago but the themes of nuclear proliferation and a dark underbelly of society had a bit more resonance in the mid-’80s (and perhaps that’s why audiences felt like they had seen this story enough times to not pay to see it...
