Over the past couple years Justified has been my favorite drama on television. With its riveting performances, exciting story lines and endless charm, the series has received equally high praise from critics across the country.
But if the Justified Season 4 premiere - "Hole in the Wall" - is any indication, this intense drama is likely to have a bit of a lighter feeling to it. There have always been comedic moments spread sporadically through Justified - usually from Raylan or Art - but with Patton Oswalt joining the fold, loads of comedy is likely to ensue.
As Constable Bob Sweeney, Oswalt perfectly portrays the wannabe tough guy with a level of comedic timing only attained by the heavily-seasoned actor. Even better, at least after just one hour, the introduction of his character is so seamless that the world that Justified has created over the last three seasons doesn't seem to skip a beat.

Actor Ron Palillo, best known for portraying the oddball class clown Arnold Horshack on the late-1970s sitcom "Welcome Back, Kotter," has died at the age of 63 of an apparent heart attack, reports TMZ.
A source close to the actor says he passed away early Tuesday morning (Aug. 14) at his Palm Beach-area home. Reportedly Palillo was found by his longtime partner Joseph Gramm around 4 a.m. and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
"Welcome Back Kotter" was Palillo's big break. After it ended in 1979, he went on to have some smaller parts on "Laverne and Shirley" and "The Love Boat," then ended up doing a lot of voiceover work. He reprised his role of Horshack for one episode of the short-lived TV sitcom "Mr. Rhodes," titled "The Welcome Back Episode."
Palillo is the second "Welcome Back, Kotter" cast member to succumb to a heart attack this year.

Emmy-winning writer-producers Andrew Reich and Ted Cohen are making new friends at Paramount Network Television. The Friends executive producers/co-showrunners have inked a seven-figure, multiyear overall deal with Paramount to develop comedy projects for the studio. Reich and Cohen have been highly sought after in the past few months as the two are finishing their duties on the 10th and final season of Friends together with executive producers/co-showrunners Scott Silveri and Shana Goldberg-Meehan and exec producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane. Reich and Cohen, who joined the flagship NBC comedy in 1997 as executive story editors, were named executive producers in December 2001 in recognition of the great creative and rating resurgence of the veteran Warner Bros. TV series in its Emmy-winning eighth season. The two started their TV writing careers in 1995 as staff writers on the comedy Minor Adjustments and worked the following year as story editors on the sitcom Mr. Rhodes. Reich and Cohen are repped by ICM and attorney Don Walerstein.
