Trivia Colin Quinn who played Dre and Lover's best friend Frankie on the film, also appeared on MTV as part of the original game show "Remote Control", which also featured Adam Sandler and Kari Wuhrer, which was hosted by Ken Ober, who makes a cameo in this film as the police geologist, Bernstein. Quinn and Sandler would be hired to star on Saturday Night Live and both were working on the show while this film was in production in 1992 and after the film was released. Quinn would leave about a year before Sandler was unceremoniously fired from the show along with Chris Farley, David Spade and a few other members in the 1995 infamous housecleaning that took place that spring.
