A feud between two prominent creators has reached its boiling point. Jack Douglass, the veteran videomaker behind the Jacksfilms channel, is asking YouTube to deplatform Alia “SSSniperwolf” Shelesh after she came to his home address unannounced and posted a photo of his house on Instagram.
Douglass, whose YouTube career dates back to the platform’s earliest days, is a longtime critic of reaction videos. Last year, the commentator known for formats like Yiay set his sights on Shelesh, who ranks among the internet’s most-watched creators. Douglass argued that Shelesh’s reaction content — which has brought more than 34 million subscribers to her primary YouTube channel — is nothing more than thinly-veiled content theft.
To emphasize his point, Douglass launched an entire channel dedicated to SSSniperwolf-style reaction content. His continued jabs led to a war of words between the two creators. Eventually, their feud grew into something more serious, resulting in...

Where were you the day that three Olympians were in jeopardy (though not necessarily in the bottom two)? I’ll always remember: I was on the couch. I’m surprised there wasn’t a breaking news ticker on the bottom of the screen to accompany Tom and Erin’s repeated mentions of this American Icon Night tragedy. “Olympians At Risk; Nation Sheds Lone Sparkly Tear” would have worked. Or maybe “Maks And Meryl In Jeopardy; Wtf” on a continuous loop. And, finally: “Charlie And Sharna Out Before D.J. New York (AP) — Slightly more than half of the people who watched the Sochi Olympics on NBC also used a computer, tablet or smartphone to get information about the games while the TV was on, the network said Wednesday. NBC closely studies how Americans follow the action partly because the Olympics are a huge investment, but also to get a peek at how media habits are changing. This year's takeaway: the multiscreen experience is rapidly taking hold and is doing so across all age groups. "It's not 25-year-olds who wear black and live in Williamsburg," said Alan Wurtzel, NBC's chief researcher. "This is America." NBC and its cable networks televised 541 hours of Sochi action and made all Olympic competition available online. The flood of material only increased the appetite; NBC said 49 percent of viewers said they watched more Olympics action simply because it was more available, and that number shot...

Shortly after winning the Olympic gold medal for ice dancing – a first for an American team – figure skaters Meryl Davis and Charlie White were announced as rival competitors for season 18 of "Dancing with the Stars." Should we already consider them the frontrunners, especially given that "DWTS" star Derek Hough choreographer their short program for the Olympics? -Break- Davis and White have obvious advantages. As figure skaters, they're already accustomed to choreography and performing to music. In an attempt to soften the blow of the Us losing every event on Saturday, NBC spent much of its primetime coverage on non-competition videos. The first was a story about an American paralympic swimmer, Jessica Tatiana Long, meeting her Russian birth parents for the first time. A story that NBC felt couldn’t be told without clips of Anastasia. (Makes sense to me.)

Meryl Davis and Charlie White are ready to keep dancing after their gold medal-winning ice dancing routines at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Could they be heading to "Dancing with the Stars" next?
Davis and White already have a "DWTS" connection: Pro dancer Derek Hough helped choreograph their Olympic short routine. When Us Weekly asks about the connection and if the athletes would like to continue to work with Hough on "Dancing with the Stars," White responds, "Why not?" Davis continues that theme, saying, "I mean, if we were invited ... we would love to do it!"
When it comes to partners, both ice dancers want to stick with Hough. That would be Derek Hough for Davis. As for White, "Is it too late to get his sister back on the show?"
Olympians have competed and excelled on "Dancing with the Stars" before -- Kristi Yamaguchi, Apolo Anton Ohno and Shawn Johnson...
