Not the most imaginative of titles but that hasn’t stopped me watching many a movie and in particular a horror movie… So I was hoping Island Zero: Sea No Evil would be better than its title suggests.
Unsurprisingly Island Zero is set on a remote island. One in which a solitary ferry is the only route on and off of it. So when that ferry fails to turn up for several days in a row, the residents start to worry. And they soon worry even more when they realise something is killing them off.
Despite an opening scene that involves death and blood, this is much more of a slow burn of a horror movie.

Reminiscent of the isolated chills and thrills of Stephen King's short story "Home Delivery", the new horror thriller Island Zero (written by Rizzoli & Isles author Tess Gerritsen and directed by Josh Gerritsen) follows a fishing community suddenly cut off from the rest of the world... not counting the bodies that wash ashore. Ahead of the movie's VOD release this week from Freestyle Digital Media, we've been provided with an exclusive clip to share with Daily Dead readers.

Tess Gerritsen, author of the Rizzoli and Isles series of novels (later turned into a TV show of the same name) has turned her hand to terror, writing the script for Island Zero, which stars Laila Robins, Adam Wade McLaughlin (Showtime’s Billions), Teri Reeves (ABC’s Once Upon A Time), and Matthew Wilkas (Fits and Starts); and is the directorial debut of Josh Gerritsen.
Inhabitants of a fishing island off the coast of Maine find themselves mysteriously cut off from the outside world after the ferry suddenly stops coming. All the phones have gone dead and every boat sent to the mainland fails to return. When dead bodies turn up along the water’s edge, the hardy band of survivors must find out who, or what, is killing them.

"Oooooh, end of the world!" Freestyle Digital Media has released a short, new official trailer, running only 30-seconds, for a dark comedy, horror thriller titled Island Zero, from director Josh Gerritsen and writer Tess Gerritsen ("Rizzoli & Isles"). The premise for this film sounds pretty cool, I just hope it's better than it looks. A fishing community on a remote Maine island finds itself suddenly cut off from the rest of the world after the ferry stops coming. When people start to vanish, the terrified survivors realize that someone - or something - is hunting them. Island Zero stars Laila Robins, Adam Wade McLaughlin, Teri Reeves, and Matthew Wilkas. This seems like it could be fun, with some bloody twists and amusing horror moments, but I'm not entirely sure based on this 30 seconds of footage. Maybe it's not bad? Give it a look. Here's the new official trailer (+ poster) for Josh Gerritsen's Island Zero,...

"Once Upon a Time" fans are known for being passionate, but not known for agreeing on what they're passionate about. Many of those fans came out (no pun intended) last night after "Ruby Slippers" to weigh in on the big Lgbt reveal.
Showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis had previously teased that Season 5 would feature the first Lgbt couple, and that naturally led to speculation that Mulan (Jamie Chung) would be involved, since she had been in love with Aurora. Mulan was in the episode, but the relationship turned out to be between Ruby/Red (Meghan Ory) and Dorothy Gale (Teri Reeves), and Ruby even saved Dorothy with true love's kiss.

[Warning: This story contains spoilers from Sunday’s episode of ABC’s Once Upon a Time, “Ruby Slippers.”] Once Upon a Time finally made good on its promise to include a gay storyline in season five, and it was an unexpected choice. Although Mulan (Jamie Chung) revealed her unrequited love for Princess Aurora (Sarah Bolger) in season three, she wasn’t the one in a new relationship in Sunday’s episode, “Ruby Slippers.” However, she did help make it happen. While Mulan is helping Ruby (Meghan Ory) find her wolf pack in Oz, they meet Dorothy (Teri Reeves) and help her try

Once Upon a Time kept its promise, but maybe not in the way most viewers were expecting. After showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis promised that the show would be exploring its first Lgbt relationship this season, most fans expected the sparks to start (or continue) flying between Mulan (Jamie Chung) and Aurora (Sarah Bolger). That, however, is not what ended up happening. Tonight, Ruby (Megan Ory) was able to bring Dorothy (Teri Reeves) out of a sleeping spell with the infamous true love's kiss, which was followed by much more kissing The episode, cleverly titled "Ruby Slippers," chronicled their entire relationship, from when they first met...
