Maryland governor Wes Moore signed the legislation on Thursday afternoon, weeks after it first passed through the state’s senate. Fees tacked onto ticket prices are one of the most oft-bemoaned aspects of the buying process for customers; while the fees themselves still stand with Maryland’s new law, requiring an all-in pricing system means that fans see the...

Suzy Shinn grew up listening to bands like Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin, so she was thrilled when Andrew McMahon, the vocalist in both bands, called in December with the beginnings of a solo song. The only problem: They had about three days to finish the track. So she set up in her living room in L.A.’s Los Feliz, called a couple of masked-and-distanced friends to engineer and play violin, and made do. “I was like, ‘All right, now we’re going to make a small symphony...

Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness kicked off a brand new era with a bang when they premiered their latest single, “Fire Escape,” a few months back. It found the group sticking to their regular formula, but this time, with just a little more electricity behind it. Now, the band has announced a slew of information regarding the future, and it all starts with their next record.
Titled Zombies On Broadway, the sophomore full-length is expected to arrive on February 10th, 2017. In a note from McMahon himself, he says that the record is about whatever makes his hair stand up and his heart beat faster — and judging by the clip that was recently revealed, faster heartbeats seem like it’ll be a regular occurrence throughout this album cycle. This new track, entitled “Brooklyn, You’re Killing Me,” comes out next week alongside the pre-order for his nationwide tour set for this upcoming March.

When you first heard that Pete’s Dragon was coming to theaters, you probably expected something that would become one of the biggest films of the year. Of course, the cynical among us probably expected something to ruin their childhood.
Either way, once Bryce Dallas Howard and Robert Redford were attached, you had to take notice. But, in a year that was filled with bizarre disappointments, the movie didn’t take off the way it deserved.
Well, it’s headed home, and if you didn’t catch it in theaters, you really want to mark your calendars, because I know a lot of younger audiences didn’t get a chance to see this, and they’re going to love it. The release is pretty loaded with bonuses too, but in keeping with the current trend, they may not be things that younger viewers are especially interested in.

Earlier this month, Andrew McMahon unveiled the new single from his Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness project entitled, “Fire Escape.” The song features signature keys from McMahon and a chorus straight out of the handbook of Mumford & Sons, but it’s much more pop than folk sounding. Now, he’s released an official music video to accompany the track.
The music video is silly, lighthearted, and features those weird inflatable dancing things with the wavy arms – because, well, who doesn’t love those? McMahon spoke with Billboard about the creation of the video treatment, calling it a “fun experiment,” and it looks like it definitely paid off.
“Fire Escape” is expected to be included on Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness’ next project, which is planned for release in January or February of next year. The album will begin mixing in just a couple of days, and luckily, this track won...

Andrew McMahon has been making music for over 15 years, but the prolific singer/songwriter still manages to find a way to keep things fresh. His new single, released under his Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness moniker, is called “Fire Escape” and it just premiered today with a creative lyric video to go along with it.
Ever since his days rocking the stage with Something Corporate, McMahon’s always been a pop artist deep down, and Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness allows him to let that flourish to its full potential. “Fire Escape” is an unapologetic fight for radio play, as Mumford & Sons-esque verses lead into a chorus with pounding drums that can best be described as a Fun. song on steroids. Though McMahon is known for powerful piano ballads, “Fire Escape” is upbeat and in your face for the entire three and a half minute length.

At a time when countless electronic music artists are scrambling to incorporate more live elements into their stage shows in order to stand out, it bears mention that Lindsey Stirling did it before it was cool. The performance artist and New York Times best-selling author fused dancing and live instrumentals with dubstep all the way back in 2011, and she’s set out to prove that she can remain relevant with her third studio album, Brave Enough.
Stirling has announced that the 14-track album will come out via her artist label, Lindseystomp Records, on August 19th. In addition, she’s revealed the music video for the effort’s first single, “The Arena,” which maintains the half-time drum pattern characteristic of her earlier dubstep releases while steering clear of the genre’s more dated elements.
With nearly two months to go until Brave Enough arrives, it stands to reason that Lindsey Stirling...

Panic! At the Disco treated the Late Late Show audience to a raucous performance of single "Victorious." Weezer's Rivers Cuomo co-wrote the track and will co-headline a tour with the band this summer.
The perpetually energetic singer Brendon Urie jumped around the small late-night stage as he belted the track. Early on, he let out a powerful falsetto before dancing frenetically across the space. Towards the end, Urie did a backflip with the raised stage for the drummer and his kit as the launching point.

All Time Low is gearing up to release their new album, Future Hearts, on April 7th – and the first single off the album, “Something’s Gotta Give” is already proving to be a monster hit.
The music video for the uber-catchy new punk/pop-rock tune has already amassed over 1.5 million views on YouTube and features lead singer Alex Gaskarth roaming about in a French fry costume as he attempts to hit on a model, befriend his band-mates and cuddle a cat. Unfortunately, none of them want anything to do with the 27-year-old, but it’s not until he glances at his reflection that he understands why: He’s A Zombie. Gaskarth then goes on to infect Jack Barakat, Rian Dawson, and Zack Merrick with his zombie-bite – and in the end, he’s put out of his own misery. Yikes?

Kinda. Sorta. Well, not really. But for a few brief, shining moments on Dec. 9 and 10, a gaggle of alumni from NBC’s failed musical experiment banded together to put on a show: a concert version of Hit List, the hip downtown musical that tried to wrest our attention from Bombshell in season 2.
As fans (and, yes, hate-watchers) know, in the context of the series, that attempt was largely unsuccessful — even if Hit List did go on to win a bunch of fake Tony awards. But in a small, moodily lit cabaret, when performed uninterrupted for an audience stacked...

In so much as I was ever raised, I was raised on television. So I once again had a total blast working on "The TV Land Awards " that airs tonight on TV Land at 9 p.m./8 Cst. Beautifully hosted by Kelly Ripa -- who I first fell in love with on TV -- this year's show features cast reunions from the stars of Murphy Brown, Laverne & Shirley, In Living Color and One Day At A Time. Pee Wee Herman is also honored, as is The Queen of Soul herself, Aretha Franklin, who performs wonderfully and, yes, soulfully. In honor of this grand annual TV event that celebrates TV so well, here's my playlist for tonight's great TV party. As always please add your own tubular tracks below.
