You’re not gone until you’re gone. At least that’s what I told people when they realized it took eight seasons for “Fear the Walking Dead” to wrap up.
“Fear” bested predictions and became one of the longest-running television spin-offs currently on air. While ratings dwindled and characters were written off over the years, it maintained a decent cult following — some tuning in for Alycia Debnam-Carey, who came into her own as an actress on the show following “The 100,” while others begrudgingly watched to keep up with the “Walking Dead” universe, after characters like Morgan (Lennie James), Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Sherry (Christine Evangelista) were transferred from the original series.
A key to its success, “Fear” never shied away from a soft reboot. Every season tackled a new approach to its storytelling, sometimes in the span of a few episodes. Early seasons of “Fear” felt migratory even,...

Spoiler Alert: This article contains details of the series finale of Fear the Walking Dead, which aired tonight on AMC.
“At first it was written to be very, flowery and beautiful and wonderful hugs and loving,” reveals Colman Domingo of the final partings in tonight’s Fear the Walking Dead series finale. “That’s just not the truth of our characters,” the Emmy-winning actor adds of why that was not the ending viewers saw with his often devious Victor Strand, Kim Dickens’ Madison Clark or Rubén Blades’ Daniel Salazar.
“We were very strong, very strong-willed characters, and we should end in a very complex way.”
After eight seasons, a real-life global pandemic that made the Twd spinoff seem almost documentary in tone, and a vast expansion of the zombie apocalypse universe on AMC, the Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson-created series certainly concluded in a very emotionally complex way Sunday.

As Hispanic Heritage Month continues in the United States, a new report from the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative assesses the state of Hispanic and Latino representation in Hollywood’s top-grossing films.
The full study will be released next month, examining 1,600 top-grossing films released from 2007 to 2022 and more than 69,000 speaking characters, with qualitative data about how those Latino and Hispanic characters are presented in films, including whether they “stereotype or stigmatize” the community. It’s the third study analyzing Hispanic and Latino representation from the Initiative’s researchers, led by founder Dr. Stacy L. Smith.
According to the report, Hispanic/Latino actors filled just 10 leading or co-lead roles across last year’s 100 top-grossing films, and eight of those 10 roles went to Hispanic/Latina actors. In the 16-year span studied, just 76 actors filled lead or co-lead roles; 44 were Hispanic/Latina; and five were Hispanic/Latinas aged 45 and older.

For the next two months, Max will be the “one to watch” for AMC series.
On Friday, seven AMC shows will be available on the former HBO Max under a new category “AMC+ Picks on Max.” For the next 60 days, Max users can binge Seasons 1-7 of “Fear the Walking Dead,” the first seasons of “Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire” and “Dark Winds,” Seasons 1 and 2 of “Gangs of London,” Seasons 1-5 of “Ride with Norman Reedus,” Seasons 1, 2, and 3 of “A Discovery of Witches,” and Seasons 1-4 of “Killing Eve.”
The AMC series will be available on both the ad-free and ad-supported Max tiers, although they’ll be commercial-free for all Max users regardless of plan. They will exist on their own branded rail — until Halloween, which thematically feels appropriate for pretty much all of the migrating series.
It’s a win-win, something both companies were quick to point out in the August 28 announcement.

"Now that Shrike (Maya Eshet) and her influence are gone, Madison (Kim Dickens) sets sights on transforming Padre into the safe haven the old Stadium was meant to be," the logline teases.

AMC brought Fear the Walking Dead and the new The Walking Dead spinoff The Walking Dead: Dead City to the 2023 WonderCon held March 24-26 in Anaheim, CA. While Dead City made its WonderCon debut, this year’s panel for Fear the Walking Dead marks its final time appearing at what’s referred to as the smaller, more low-key version of the massive San Diego Comic-Con.

AMC and AMC+ have set a Sunday, May 14, 2023 premiere date for the eighth – and final – season of Fear the Walking Dead. The network also announced the new The Walking Dead spinoff, The Walking Dead: Dead City, will premiere this June, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is expected to debut later this year.
The Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira spin-off will begin shooting this year. The network’s targeting a 2024 premiere for Rick Grimes and Michonne’s spinoff series.
Per AMC: “This series presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before?...

[Warning: The following contains spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead Season 7, Episode 13, “Sonny Boy.”] Fear the Walking Dead just got rid of two main characters in a single episode, but we’re predicting the blood won’t stop flowing there in the Tower War. Currently, there are more characters than perhaps ever before who might depart the world of walkers before Season 7 ends; characters have radiation poisoning, characters have switched sides, characters have lied to former Somba Negra agents. Here, we’re discussing which of the characters currently in peril might not live to see Season 8. Lauren “Lo” Smith/AMC Charlie Unfortunately—or maybe fortunately, depending on how bitter you still are over Nick’s (Frank Dillane) death—Charlie (Alexa Nisenson) is probably most likely to die within the next few episodes. While characters have beaten radiation poisoning before, their health hasn’t deteriorated as quickly or visibly as Charlie’s. Plus, if ...

[Warning: The following contains spoilers for Fear The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 11, “Ofelia.”] After seven seasons of playing Alicia Clark on Fear The Walking Dead, Alycia Debnam-Carey has stepped into a new role: director. Debnam-Carey talked to TV Insider about which scene she was most excited (and most nervous) to shoot, how she felt about putting Luciana (Danay Garcia) front and center in her episode, and — as a bonus! — we’ve included an excellent question that fellow Fear actor Omid Abtahi asked her during Fear’s preview junket. Lauren “Lo” Smith/AMC During the preview junket, you said you were excited to direct on Fear because you know the show like the back of your hand. How did your longevity on the series play into the choices you made behind the camera? Alycia Debnam-Carey: Because I’ve been on Fear for so long, it weaved its way into my choices without me knowing in so many ways.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Fear The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 11, “Ofelia.”] Daniel’s (Rubén Blades) memory loss is guiding him to believe his daughter, Ofelia (Mercedes Mason), is still alive — and because he’ll do anything to find her, that’s a real liability for Team Morgan (Lennie James). In fact, Daniel’s unreliable memory gets himself, Luciana (Danay Garcia) and Wes (Colby Hollman) into some pretty sticky situations throughout “Ofelia.” Directed by series costar Alycia Debnam-Carey, it’s an hour that pulls heavily from the show’s first three seasons; we get references to Daniel’s dark past, Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) and his relationship with Luciana, Strand (Colman Domingo) and Daniel’s history and even the Abigail. It also puts Luciana at the center of the action — something fans had long been calling for — and forces her to make a decision many might disagree with. Strand's reign of terror could be ending very soon.
AMC provided TV Fanatic with an exclusive look at Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 7, titled "The Portrait."
The highly-anticipated episode finds Morgan inside the Tower.
If you watch Fear the Walking Dead online, you know the show has pit the two men against one another.
They make a deal in the clip, but before they get time to toast to it, exploding walkers gear up to invade the Tower.
In Strand's mind, this tower is a safe haven that is free from the perils of the outside world.
But the latest group of villains are here to prove otherwise.
The scene is filled with twists and turns as Morgan and Strand react to the developments, and the Tower begins to shake due to an explosive.
At least one of the walkers is thrown through the window, but the pair manage to throw it back out.

The job is simple. Break into an old couple’s home in the middle of the night, skulk around while they sleep to procure a purple metal box, and then just wait for a 4am call on an already supplied burner phone. In, out, and thousands of dollars richer. Saying “No’ isn’t therefore an option for Minny (Danay Garcia) and Gil (Michael Drayer) considering they don’t even have to get their hands dirty as getaway driver and lookout respectively. Having a baby on the way and zero prospects for affording the costs to care for one twist their arms too. Nobody could have anticipated a bunch of idiots driving by with radio blaring and horn honking the exact moment this heist goes down. Carefully laid plans sadly mean zilch.

Discovering that one is pregnant is supposed to be a joyous thing. At least, that’s now society generally treats it, in part to keep people from panicking. 45% of pregnancies in the US are unplanned and although most expectant parents choose to continue with them anyway, the stress of figuring out how to cope can be overwhelming. Minny (Danay Garcia) doesn’t know how she can afford to keep her baby, but boyfriend Gil (Michael Drayer) is determined that they’ll find a way. He just needs to find the right job. Unfortunately there are only a few kinds of job that he’s really qualified for, and they tend to mean trouble.
Sitting in a parking lot waiting for a contact to arrive, Minny has a bad feeling about this particular job – but who ever listened to a pregnant woman about her feelings? She knows she can’t stop Gil from doing it.

The world as our favorite characters knows it is over.
That might seem like a strange observation when you consider the fact they've spent years fighting for survival in a zombie apocalypse, but now they have a new world to endure, one that is filled with radiation and new perils.
One of those perils appears to be good old Victor Strand (Colman Domingo).
While the freshly released Comic-Con clips for Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 spends a lot of time on the events of the nuclear blast, it does begin to paint a picture of what we can expect when the series returns later this year.
The characters have been haunted by the sins of the past for so long that there's no telling how far they will be pushed to survive.

Fear The Walking Dead will be on the hunt when the AMC spinoff returns this fall, as it was made clear Saturday during the series’ Comic-Con@Home panel.
The network revealed during the presentation that Season 7 of FearTWD will premiere October 17 and unleashed not one but two significant looks at the upcoming cycle of the zombie apocalypse spinoff toplined by Lennie James and Colman Domingo.
Coming off the nuclear blast that basically ended Season 6, the first clip features now-parents Morgan Jones (James) and Grace Mukherjee (Karen David) having to fend to feed baby Morgan in the radiation-drenched Texas fallout their world has become.
If the first clip looks to the future (bleak as it may be), the second glimpse of the upcoming season showrun by Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg takes us underground with Jenna Elfman’s June Dorie and her father-in-law (Keith Carradine). Shaken awake in their bunker, the...
