Justice League Unlimited is often regarded as one of the best series ever created by the DC Animated Universe. Throughout its run, it kept fans’ interest at its peak, making them hooked on it and wanting more at the end of each episode. But even with such good reviews, fans had conflicting opinions over a few things, especially one that included the Green Lantern.
Justice League Unlimited.
One of these few features of the story that caught fans in a whirlwind of mixed emotions was Green Lantern ending up choosing Vixen at one point. However, while fans may be worried about it because of what they saw onscreen, a lot of thought process was involved behind its helming, and the writer’s opinion on the same only further proves this!

Having played J. Jonah Jameson in Marvel and Commissioner Gordon in DC, J.K. Simmons is no stranger to excelling in the comic book genre. And with Invincible, the Oscar-winner was once again allowed to spread his acting chops in the realm of superheroes, and unlike his live-action Cbm counterparts, Omni-Man was not bound by mortality.
But this isn’t the lone time the actor has voiced Cbm characters in animation, as prior to this series, the Whiplash Star had played two major DC villains in the acclaimed Justice League Unlimited.

Whether it be Kai in Kung Fu Panda 3 or Lenny Turteltaub in Bojack Horseman, J.K. Simmons always brings out his A-game while voicing animated characters. Furthermore, his performance as Nolan in Invincible stands as a testament to the actor’s expertise as a Va.

In part one of this article, I asked what happened to that fun-loving silly bastard who lost his mind when he met Mickey Mouse at Disneyland?
This happened…
Sadness happened.
Sadness killed that pain in the ass lovable (Yeah Lovable) bastard. The grief felt over the loss of my mother, the end of my marriage, and friendship with Denys Cowan. Sadness over my inability to shield people I care about from my (then) undiagnosed bipolar behavior. Sadness helped along by my (then) undiagnosed severe depression.
Anger happened.
Anger over the constant ridicule from the friends of my ex-wife who’s elitist posture pissed me off to no end. Yet, for the most part, I let it go, which made me angrier. The insult from Milestone.
The criminal (Yes criminal) treatment from DC Comics. The two false racist arrests by Lapd. The seemingly purposeful attempts to distance me from my contributions...

Netflix is going all in on anime as they add the eagerly anticipated Godzilla movie and 12 other projects to their slate of upcoming programming. Deadline says in addition to the series the network is also overseeing the development of Cannon Busters, Devilman Crybaby, B: The Beginning, and Knights Of The Zodiac: Saint Seiya just to name a few.
The Godzilla and Saint Seiya grabs really show that Netflix is working to grab their Western audience who loves anime, but with competitors like Crunchyroll and Funimation (who was recently bought by Sony) in the mix, who knows if they'll be able to compete on that front. Time will tell, but the addition of so many projects seems promising for the future of anime on the platform.

Today we celebrate the birthdays of two great Americans.
I realize for many celebrating on a day called President’s Day is now just a day to be off work.
The current President of the United States is all the reason some need to never celebrate on President’s day again. How can some support the racist comments and actions coming from the now leader of the free world?
No idea, but many seem embolden by these activities – including the hotel I’d thought was making a change for the better.
Maybe what’s wrong with America is we keep looking for what’s wrong with America.
I try to look at what’s right and work to make what isn’t so.
A bit over a year ago I was thrown out of a Hilton in Orange County California for what can only be a racist reason. I gave...

In celebration of the Milestones show at Geppi Entertainment Museum, we present this piece, originally published in the San Diego Comic-Con International Souvenir Book 2013.
Twenty years. Daaaaamn.
I spent a lot of time hanging around Milestone when they were first starting up. I was working around the corner from their 23rd St. offices at a digital pre-press house, where DC Comics was getting their painted covers scanned and separated. And I’d worked at DC and knew a lot of the folks there informally, and Milestone in those days was a very informal place. There was no standing on ceremony, if you wanted to show up and pitch in, you could just do that. And I did, bringing over lots of fonts for typesetting on a Mac and helping out with little production things here and there— I couldn’t do much because of my full-time job, but they were a start-up,...

I’m pissed.
So pissed that this article was first written for my website. My website is usually where I rant about goings on in the world of politics and such, I almost never talk about comics there. Well, I was so pissed over a Publisher’s Weekly article I couldn’t wait for Tuesday to vent my anger so I went ahead and wrote this piece for Mdw.
Those of you familiar with my writings know I tend to use language not suited for everyone.
Translation: I swear a lot.
Chantal d’Aulnis is a dear friend who I’ve known for a long time. She is also the unofficial 6th founding member of Milestone, as it was Chantal who gave us invaluable advice when setting up the company. She pointed out to me that my swearing may take away from the importance of what I was trying to...

When Mark Waid joined the creative team on Jla, he told a pretty terrific story about Batman’s secret protocols for neutralizing the Justice League of America falling into Ra’s al Ghul’s hands. In the “Tower of Babel” story, he used it to take out the League in order to execute a plan for world domination. It made for a fine story arc that allowed Batman to leave the team for time and resonated with fans given the weighty thematic material. It has endured in memory and prompted Warner Premiere to approve Jla: Doom, an adaptation as a part of their ongoing series of direct-to-dvd animated features
The resulting production, on sale tomorrow, is bittersweet because it marks the final script from the talented Dwayne MacDuffie. And it needed series editing which clearly was not done, making it a deeply flawed adaptation of the source material. The dramatic core is here,...

At Comic-Con on Saturday, writers of such popular animations as 'Wonder Woman', 'Robot Chicken', and 'Justice League: New Frontier' spoke candidly about their frustrations with ratings-distorting content and gave a sneak peek at the future of animation.
The panelists included: Alan Burnett (Green Lantern: First Flight), Matt Wayne (Hellboy Animated: Sword of Storms), Michael Jelenic (Wonder Woman), Charles Horn (Robot Chicken), Greg Johnson (The Ultimate Avengers, The Invincible Iron Man, Doctor Strange), and Stan Berkowitz (Justice League: New Frontier, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies).
One of the most tired complaints of Hollywood creatives is that studio fingerprints are all over their film frames. While some may benefit from the chokehold, others, like Greg Johnson, writer of The Invincible Iron Man and The Ultimate Avengers, told comic book fans how the content of their favorite stories are smeared by studio input, not lifted.

If you're anything like me, your interest in the upcoming animated Marvel Super Hero Squad Show was pretty low, based as it is on a line of toys and comic strips meant for kids too young to know that proper superhero stories involve lots of rape and horrible gory messes. Which is to say, I thought it would be fine for its target demographic, but a little too lowbrow to have the same level of grown men in tights and Neil Patrick Harris musical numbers that the discerning adult requires.
But then there was the Q&A panel at San Diego Comic Con.
Now, what if I told you that Stan Lee was voicing the Mayor?
What if I told you Kevin Sorbo was voicing Ka-Zar?
What If I Told You George Takei Was Voicing Galactus?!
Well, if the Marvel liveblog is to be believed, it's all true. Some other highlights:
