David Nalbandian was once Argentina's biggest tennis star, but his reputation could get some serious stain after a recent scandal involving his ex-girlfriend.
Nalbandian was ranked as high as World No. 3 in a highly successful 13-year playing career. He is the only man from Argentina who reached at least the semifinal in each of the four Grand Slams and was a Wimbledon finalist in 2002.
The Argentine's most significant accomplishment in tennis was winning the 2005 Atp Finals title match from two sets to love down against 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer.
He is the answer to the trivia question for being the only man to defeat all three members of the Big 3 in one tournament. But recent reports have portrayed the darker side of the now 41-year-old former World No. 3, who is accused of harassment and stalking by her former partner Araceli Torrado.
The pair had been dating for close to a year,...

Andy Murray recorded his 42nd win at Wimbledon yesterday (June 30), and also marked his 10th year at the biggest tennis tournament in the world.
There have been many stories of triumph, tears and tantrums since making his debut as a gawky teenager in 2005, peaking at his incredible win eight years later in July 2013. Here's a look back at his decade of putting us through the emotional wringer each summer.
2005
Result: Third round
Hair level: Scruffy but short
The year after triumphing at the Junior Us Open, Murray had won his first senior matches at Queens just two weeks before his first Grand Slam. It was truly the changing of the guard as Tim Henman lost in the second round, the first time he failed to get to the second week since 1995.
Despite the presence of Sean Connery in the crowd, Murray's inexperience wasn't enough to beat David Nalbandian in a thrilling five-setter.

Happy July! It’s time to declare the great and angry sex gods of Wimbledon. Here’s my only rule: You have to have made it to the finals in order to qualify. (Sorry, Bernard Tomic, but I will give you the opening picture here).
10. Pete Sampras
Great champ, but could be angrier. I want him to rank higher than #10, but alas.
9. Novak Djokovic
I love this spindly tennis man.
8. David Nalbandian
Argentinian rage is one of my preferred flavors.
7. Andre Agassi
If you can still win Wimbledon while battling a crystal meth addiction, you might be a great tennis player. Never forget that he dated Streisand.
6. Roger Federer

Despite its outward civility, Professional Tennis can be a brutal sport for the players, and the sell by date for most is around age 30, give or take a couple of years. So it takes a dedicated athlete to carry on in the face of Father Time, lingering injuries, and young phenoms nipping at your Nike's.
In the past couple of years we've paid tribute to the Atp Top Twenty Players and the Hottest Players Outside The Top 20, and as this year's Australian Open commences, we're going to look at all of the players in the Top 100 who have crossed the "30" milestone mark.
They may be the tennis equivalent of Methuselah, but they can still teach the young guns a thing or two!
Roger Federer - 31
Ranked #2, Roger is still going strong long after most pundits had written him off. Last year he won his seventh Wimbledon title and regained the #1 ranking,...

Made in Chelsea star Alexandra 'Binky' Felstead has launched a new range of Wimbledon-themed cocktails for Broadgate. The Ping Pong cocktail specialists have created new cocktails named after some of the biggest court stars to mark the annual sporting event. Binky said: "I'm so excited to be Broadgate's chief cocktail maker for the launch of the Wimbledon cocktail range. "I loved serving up several classics including my favourite Nuclear Nalbandian as I'm a bit fiery myself!" She added: "I'd love to challenge him to a game! Come rain or shine, I'm hoping that the city workers at Broadgate make the most of these delicious complimentary cocktails." The Nuclear Nalbandian spin on the Bloody Mary celebrates David Nalbandian by incorporating the world's (more)...

Tennis players have been known to abuse line judges verbally, but Argentine star David Nalbandian inadvertently went too far during yesterday Queen’s Club final in London. After missing a shot that cost him a game in the second set against Marin Cilic, he thoughtlessly kicked a Nike advertising board that surrounded line judge Andrew McDougall. The flimsy board was drilled into McDougall’s shin, leaving a bloody gash. Watch the replay (and listen to the clueless BBC announcers, who totally missed what happened initially and then seemed overly sympathetic — for Nalbandian!)
Nalbandian was disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct, a decision that rankled the player,...

Argentine tennis star David Nalbandian was disqualified from the Queen's Club final on Sunday after kicking a linesman between points. Video of the incident (below) is hilarious for a whole host of reasons.
Nalbandian, known for his hot temper, kicked a small wooden advertising board that enclosed the linesman, causing the structure to pierce the linesman's leg. The linesman rolled up the leg of his trousers to show off a bleeding shin, then sat down and looked woefully at Nalbandian, clearly feeling personally wounded, as if he'd just been served tea with no milk in it.
That was the end of the tournament for Nalbandian, as he was forced to forfeit the match. But that's not all! British Police are now investigating an assault complaint filed against Nalbandian. And let's hope they really take his ass down for this, because you simply cannot do such things on England's regally manicured tennis lawns.

David Nalbandian has been forced to forfeit the Queen's tennis final after accidentally injuring a line judge today (June 17). The Argentinian player had won the first set and was a break down in the second when he kicked out at an advertising board, which was placed directly in front of a linesman. The linesman instantly screamed in pain and fell to the ground, revealing that he had been cut by the board. Under official Atp rules, if a player causes injury to anyone on court through unsportsmanlike behaviour, they will instantly lose the match. A few moments later, the umpire informed the crowd that Nalbandian's opponent Maran Cilic had won the match. The result was met with a chorus of boos from the crowd, who seemed confused by what had happened and started a chant of "Play on". Tournament organiser Chris Kermode told the BBC: "It is (more)...

The 2012 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, CA, brought out plenty of stars over the weekend. Gwen Stefani and her oldest son, Kingston, sat in the stands next to Roger Federer's wife, Mirka, on Friday, when Roger took on Juan Martin del Potro. Gavin Rossdale watched the same match from another section, as did Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor. Ben and Christine stuck around to see Rafael Nadal beat David Nalbandian in another game, while Will Ferrell and his wife Viveca Paulin checked out the matchup between Ana Ivanovic and Maria Sharapova. On Saturday, Ben, Christine, Will, and Viveca were back in the audience to see John Isner take home the win against Novak Djokovic. Ben and Christine also checked out Roger and Rafael's tennis game, which ended with Roger in the lead. Ben tweeted, "Tough day for my favorite Rafael Nadal. Amazing to watch him and the great Federer.

Twas a good weekend for Spanish tennis god Rafael Nadal. He victoriously beat David Nalbandian in the third round of his match at the U.S. Open. And tennis nuts know that that is a big deal. For the rest of us dummies who are still scraping the sand out from behind our ears, the big takeaway from this story is that Rafael Nadal experienced some pretty hardcore cramps during the post-match press conference, and we basically get to see what it looks like when Nadal is struck by a physiological moment of seething pain that is the result of his fierce athleticism orgasms.
