It’s a been a few years since the High School Musical franchise finally came to an end, which means it’s high time Disney found a new musical movie to turn into a hot commodity. We’ve already seen high school turned into a musical, so what could we do next? How about a callback to all the classic beach-party movies of old? Nothing says “appropriate for all ages” like teenagers singing and dancing at the hot, sunny beach in nothing but their bathing suits. That’s a lot of sex appeal Disney will have to curb. Amazingly, they might have done the trick without much effort.

MTV will launch a new talk show this fall starring comedians Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer, currently titled "The Nikki and Sara Show," according to TV Guide.
The show comes after the success of Schaefer and Glaser's weekly podcast, "You Had To Be There," which features the two women chatting about the perils of everyday life with each other and a guest, typically from the world of comedy.
Unlike the podcast, however, the show will feature the duo in comedy sketches, performing pre-written jokes and conducting more traditional interviews.
Glaser and Schaefer, who both tour the country performing stand-up comedy, began recording the podcast in Schaefer's Brooklyn apartment after they met in 2010. But soon, the pair will move from Clinton Hill to Times Square, where their new show will be filmed in the former "Total Request Live" studio.
"I'm beyond excited," Schaefer told The Huffington Post in an email. "I...

Singer Nikki Leonti will be performing a song for the G.I. Joe: Retaliation movie. The only question is, is it for the soundtrack or for an actual scene in the movie. According to a recent update, several dancers have been hired so it could be that we have a scene in the movie that takes place in a club, dance hall, etc... Here is the tweet from Nikki. I leave for New Orleans tomorrow to perform a song in the Gi-joe 2 movie! Costumes are ready! Bags are packed :) We also have word that Snake Eyes favorite pet, could be making an appearance in the film. According to a recent tweet by Snake Eyes himself (Ray Park), Timber will in fact be in the movie. Taking a look at the tweet, Park drops several wink, wink, nod, nods that indicates the wolf will be seen in the...

The second leg of the 2011 GLAAD Media Awards was held last night in Los Angeles (the first part was last month in New York, and the conclusion will be next month in San Francisco.).
The big news was that Glee and Modern Family tied for the Outstanding Comedy Series Award. Below you can see Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Julie Bowen and Ariel Winter accept the award from presenter Joel McHale. Jesse is funny, poignant, a bit manic, and totally adorable.
Below you can see Glee stars Mike O'Malley and Chris Colfer accept their award. Mike rocks that train conductor cap, while Chris is looking more and more like Roger Federer.
Surprise guest Dolly Parton presented the Stephen F. Kolzak Award to out NBC Chairman Robert Greenblatt. Dolly was her usual faboo, irrepressible self, and Robert speaks eloquently about his history in media, including dealing with that infamous Melrose Place gay non-kiss.

hollywoodnews.com”: “…any movie starring Ashton Kutcher is probably a bomb…” – Nikki Finke discussing Paramount’s unwillingness to personally send her a press briefing on No Strings Attached
An absolute falsehood. She bases her assertion on a single film, Killers, which opened with $15 million and grossed $93 million worldwide (which would have been fine had the film not cost $70 million). Valentine’s Day (an ensemble film where he had the lead role) opened to $56 million just last year. What Happened In Vegas opened to $20 million and ended up with $219 million worldwide (his biggest grosser ever) just under three years ago. Sure, he occasionally out-and-out whiffs (A Thing Like Love, My Boss’s Daughter), but Kutcher is a relatively consistent opener.
Of his fifteen wide-openers as a lead (including No Strings Attached, which should do about $20 million following a $7.3 million Friday), his lowest is My Boss’s Daughter with $4.2 million,...
