Bye Bye Birdie (1963) is an exuberant, squeaky clean musical comedy from Columbia Pictures that is based upon the 1960 Broadway musical of the same name. It is also extremely dated by today’s standards and flat-out corny at times. Overall, however, it is a fun ride that sports a good number of memorable musical interludes, the title song easily giving the viewer a severe case of earworm. Director George Sidney was no stranger to musicals as he was also responsible for Ziegfeld Follies (1945), The Harvey Girls (1946), Holiday in Mexico (1946), Annie Get Your Gun (1950), Showboat (1951) and Scaramouche (1952). Here, he brings to the screen the story of Kim MacAfee (twenty-two year-old Ann-Margret in her breakout performance) as a high school girl who becomes the envy of her peers when she is given the opportunity to kiss teen rock idol Conrad Birdie on the...

Yesterday was a rough day for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Swift on the heels of reports that cast member Kim Richards had checked herself in to rehab, Bravo aired a gut punch of an episode that showed yet another emotional breakdown from Taylor Armstrong, who admitted on last night’s Watch What Happens Live that her life was “unraveling.” It’s not the first time issues of abuse, be they substance or physical, have been addressed any number of reality shows from The Anna Nicole Show to Jersey Shore, but what is it about this season of Beverly...

"Keeping Up with the Kardashians" ended the fourth season with an impressive rating and the family is now looking at a bigger picture. Kim Kardashian wrote on her official blog that she loves the idea of bringing the reality show to wide screen. To support her wish, she has suggested some names in Hollywood who would be suitable to play them.
Proclaiming that she would be the executive producer if indeed it will make it as a movie, Kim said, "Khloe would definitely be played by Liv Tyler. She's tall, beautiful and curvacious with great facial features." She added, "Kourt's the smallest of us three, so I think someone like Vanessa Hudgens would be perfect because she's petite and she's kind of quiet and intimidating at the same time, haha."
As for herself, Kim picked Penelope Cruz because she wants the sexy accent. However, Kourtney Kardashian has a different thought of who should be Kim,...

PopWatchers, this is exciting! The results are in for the Quarterfinals of our Guilty Pleasures Reality TV Showdown – in the first two categories of Relationships and “Real" Lives. We’ve already had some major upsets to stir things up. Somewhere Lauren Conrad’s heart will break to hear that Dog the Bounty Hunter was more popular than The Hills. Newcomers The Real Housewives of New Jersey beat out their popular Atlanta counterparts – NeNe and Kim, take that! Also, Temptation Island looms large in the pop culture consciousness six years after its run, beating Tila Tequila. This is going to get hard.
