We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about shows including The Good Doctor, This Is Us, Nashville and Big Brother: Celebrity Edition!
1 | Are any other Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. viewers dreading that the Coulson reveal is pointing towards a Ghost Rider encore in Season 5B?
2 | Couldn’t The Tonight Show’s post-Super Bowl episode have trimmed one of Justin Timberlake’s many segments, to give the This Is Us cast time to actually say something?
3 | Was it kind of a bummer that Lucifer revealed...

The London Super Comic Convention happened this weekend at the Excel Centre in East London. Stan Lee was there. As was one ‘Jack Kirby’ (that’s me!) and my companion for the day, Mat Barnett. Neither of us had been to a comic convention before, but there was much of what you might have expected to see on display: lots of stalls selling vintage comics, a Forbidden Planet merchandise stand, signing sessions and discussion panels. Oh and cosplay people. Quite a lot of those.
So far, so much what you might reasonably expect from film and television. But where’s the story there? In the name of investigative journalism, Barnett and I took it upon ourselves to find out what really makes a comic convention tick, to see behind the metaphorical curtain, to peek through the Perspex window on the security door of reality; in short to seek the truth,...

We'll start with the biggies: Drama, Comedy and Lead Actresses. Yes, that is the Big Four -- well, to the Film Experience it is!
Best Drama Series
Boardwalk Empire
Dexter
Friday Night Lights *my vote because it's the last season and because I'm so mad at Mad Men for not returning this summer.*
Game of Thrones
The Good Wife
Mad Men
Aside from the way-better-late-than-never inclusion of Friday Night Lights, finally elevated to "Best" status in its fifth and final season, despite always having been better than the other nominees, save Mad Men, the newbie is HBO's Game of Thrones. We've discussed it a few times (in short: I'm less impressed than most though it has its moments). But still can we get crazy drunk and jubilant for Friday Night Lights?
Who will win? Can Mad Men do it again or will The Good Wife which is obviously beloved by...

It’s touchdown TV! Before we get into Friday Night Lights and why I implore you to start watching it immediately, let me tell you a little story about my relationship with another critically praised television show that people, or at least female people, of which I am one, actually watched: Sex and the City. Wait! Don’t go!! When Sex and the City was at the height of its popularity, I couldn’t have been more turned off by what I wrongly assumed to be the show’s premise: four chicks whoring their way around New York City via taxicab and buying shoes. Although I am female, the few times I’ve worn any kind of shoe with heels or a strap, I was made to against my will by a family member who shall go unnamed, let’s just call her “mom.” As for dating stockbrockers, lawyers and investment bankers,...

Greetings, I’m about ready for a St. Pat’s Weekend. How ‘bout you? Got some green beer in your fridge already? I think I heard my roommate stumble in with a case of Jameson late last night, so we’re in good shape. Everyone stay safe, and kiss as many ugly white dudes wearing green beads (when did the Irish co-op Mardi Gras btw?) as possible. Until then, dig on some TV links for the weekend. Sláinte. See the Stewart vs. Cramer War last night? It was expectedly kind of boring, in a clinical Meet The Press kind of way. Stewart plainly embarrassed the out-gunned Cramer, who didn’t necessarily come off as a bad guy, but more of a disingenuous asshat who should’ve known better. In what will surely become a daily obsession, in Kings news, Katey Rich over at Cinema Blend has a great piece on...
