‘Back 2 Love’ is the much talked about solo album by one of Bollywood’s most popular singers, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The album has been produced by Sahir Ali Bagga, Mian Yousaf Sallahuddin and Salim-Sulaiman. The album also has Shreya Ghoshal, who makes an appearance in the song ‘Rhim Jim’. BollySpice was at the album launch event in Dubai this week as well. Read on to see what we think of his work in Back 2 Love!
First up we have ‘Rab Jaane’ which contains a mixture of Asian and Western flavours. I love the use of the electric guitar which gives the song an intense feeling to it, whilst other sounds such as the tabla and harmonium help to sustain its overall Qawalli theme. Rahat manages to get the pitch just right and as the song progresses, his voice manages to build up quite nicely whilst remaining in tune.

"The Biggest Loser" returns for Season 15 with a new theme, "Second Chances," a celebrity contestant, and some exciting new twists.
For the first time in "Biggest Loser" history, the trainers, Jillian Michaels, Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince got to sit in on casting sessions and help pick the Season 15 contestants. They will also have a brand new "trainer save" at weigh-ins. Each of the three trainers will get to save one eliminated contestant along the way.
As was revealed earlier in the summer, "American Idol" Season 2 winner and Grammy nominee, Ruben Studdard, is getting his second chance at reality competition show fame -- and a new lease on life -- as the first ever celebrity contestant on "The Biggest Loser."
Other contestants include Olympic weight lifter Holley Mangold, who hopes the show will help whip her into fighting shape for the 2016 Olympic games, and Rachel Frederickson, a former nationally ranked...

Directed by notable filmmaker Kamal Amrohi, Pakeezah (1972) contains everything one would envisage in a typical Bollywood film. This includes drama, romance, suspense, astounding cinematography, as well as exquisite song and dance sequences. It is a film which surely anyone infatuated with Indian cinema will love. It is also remembered for being one of the last great films to have starred the legendary actress Meena Kumari. She has been dubbed the ‘tragedy queen’ of Indian Cinema and also set the foundation when it comes to intense method acting. The film began production in the late 1950s, but took 14 years to complete. Due to a rift between Amrohi and Kumari (who were married to each other), filming came to a halt and it was in 1972 that the audience finally saw the beauty that is Pakeezah. These 14 years were no doubt worth the wait!

One film old in Bollywood, Tamannaah is already acquiring quite a controversial reputation. Even before she signed on to play Sridevi's role in Sajid Khan's remake of Himmatwala, the actress got into a verbal scuffle with producer Salim who demanded her mound of money as per an agreement that he alleged to have signed with the actress regarding her earnings while launching her in Chand Sa Roshan Chehra.
In a conversation with this writer some time ago, Tamannaah had dismissed all of producer Salim's claims as a regular part of any successful individual's past baggage.
She would find it harder to explain her departure from producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Sabir Khan's project Heropanti, launching Jackie Shroff's son Tiger. A month ago she was "finalized" for the project.
Now she is no more a part of it. While publicly the entire team is quiet about it,...

A remake of the 1984 film swaps Soviets for North Koreans. But really, it's all about America's fear of China
The fact that the 1984 cold war film Red Dawn has been remade is more than just another sign of Hollywood declining into pastiche and repetition. It shows that, in a moment of deep capitalist crisis, the Red Peril is back.
The original version depicted American kids engaging in guerrilla resistance against a Soviet invasion. The twist this time is that the invading army in the new Red Dawn was Chinese, but has been digitally changed in post-production to North Korean. The ostensible reason for this switch is that the film-makers didn't want to alienate the Chinese market. More likely it's because North Korea is an old-style, comfortable communist threat, distant from the Us both ideologically and culturally, whereas 21st-century China is altogether too close to home.

South actress Tamannaah, who would be seen opposite Ajay Devgn in Sajid Khan's Himmatwala, finds herself in legal tangle. Not many know that before making a name for herself down South, Tamannaah had made her big screen debut with the 2005 Bollywood flick Chand Sa Roshan Chehra produced by Salim Akhtar. While the film sank without a trace, as per her contract, the actress was supposed to share 25% of her earnings with the producer for the next 5 years. However, producer Salim claims that he hasn't received any amount from Tamannaah and left with no choice, he filed a complaint with the Association of Motion Pictures and Television Programme Producers (Amptpp), When even that didn't yield any result he took the legal route and has now moved filed a case at Kolkata High Court against Tamannaah for dishonoring of a contract. Meanwhile the actress' father Santosh Bhatia dismisses these allegations as plain rubbish.

It all started with the snippet of “Bittoo sab ki lega” in the promos, which went viral earlier this year. The song soon stoked the ire of Censor Board who asked for a cleaner trailer, which the producers refused and that phrase has entered the filmi lexicon. This audacious move by the makers certainly got the audience anticipating the rest of the music. One might have thought that the rest of the songs might be in the same naughty vein as a ‘Bhaag Dk Bose’. Along with the music, and hero Pulkit Samrat looking like a distant relative of the Delhi Boy played by Ranveer Singh in Band Bajaa Baraat, the movie certainly looks to capture on the success of their previous Pyar Ka Punchnama. Unlike our expectations, the music is a mixed bunch of tracks that totally get you into the party mood.

It has been half a century since Mughal-e-Azam first enchanted audiences with its majestic sets, elaborate dance sequences and soulful music. But K Asif's magnum opus continues to inspire Bollywood directors and technicians. The epic, which was released Aug 5, 1960, chronicles the love story of Prince Salim, who went on to become Mughal emperor Jahangir, and Anarkali, a court dancer. The film took almost a decade to complete and the attention paid to intricate details such as the 'sheesh mahal', or palace of mirrors, were proof enough of the labour that went into creating the masterpiece.Actor Prithviraj Kapoor's royal sketch of Akbar, Naushad's music, Shakeel Badayuni's unforgettable lyrics and the sizzling chemistry between the lead pair Madhubala and Dilip Kumar are part of film legend in India now.Filmmaker Subhash Ghai feels a movie like Mughal-e-Azam can never be repeated. The SAG Awards sparkled. Women in beautiful dresses, perfectly accessorized; men crisply attired in suits or tuxes; and flash cameras and video everywhere—it was quite a scene. There was drama …
… and romance:
Boldface names made their way down the red carpet: the bolder the name, the faster they moved. Oops, there went Brad Pitt (Benjamin Button). Too late. But Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) did pause for a moment:
He picked up an award later that evening for male actor in a comedy series. Meanwhile, the unofficial award for cutest kids went to the ones playing adman Don Draper’s children in Mad Men. Kiernan Shipka looks sweet …
… but advised me that if she won an award (she did, as part of an ensemble), it would go next to her Tae Kwon Do trophies. Easy there tiger! Meanwhile, her cast-mate and fellow winner Aaron Hart is a handsome little fellow …
