As discussed in our earlier article on the show, Ghost Trek is a horror-themed comedy based on the hijinks of a team of paranormal investigators. Just add a supernatural creature, and hilarity ensues.

"Ghost Trek" can best be described as "Reno 911" meets "Ghost Hunters", and the show's gang of misfits are out to prove that they're the funniest bunch of paranormal researchers since Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz and Egon Spengler. Those of you lucky enough to be in the Louisville area of the Bluegrass State on Saturday, July 23rd, will get your chance to have a sneak peek at the pilot!
With a tagline that basically sums up the series ("Ghost Trek": Paranormal research with an emphasis on bad taste), the Paranormal Underworld Detective Society (that's right, Puds) is portrayed by an incredibly eclectic group of individuals. Actors, reality stars and former professional wrestlers are among the cast members, each bringing their own unique talent to the program.

Last year, in support of independent filmmaking, I set up a special showcase of short horror films at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors convention in Los Angeles. When I noticed they gave me a screening room that seemed miles away from the main convention area, I started to panic: “How is anyone going to find out about my show of indie shorts?” I despaired. One filmmaker whose movie was to be part of the screening noticed my anxiety and said, “I’ll help you out here,” and the next thing I knew, he cried out in a loud, powerful voice, “My name is Robert Filion and I am a filmmaker!”...

Here at Dread Central we love us some zombies, especially of the shambling super-rotted variety! There's just something about those flesh-eaters we just can't get enough of! As a result, we're always on the look-out for the goods and we're always happy to help out an indie filmmaker by showcasing their work. Such is the case with Robert W. Filion's undead opus -- See the Dead.

Last weekend, Zombie enthusiasts gathered in Charlotte, North Carolina to celebrate the work of George A. Romero at American Zombie...George A. Romero'S Film Revolution (see previous item here). The special festival honoring the man through presentations of his work, and that of those he's inspired ran from February 19-22. One piece that was intended to be an exclusive for festival attendees was a look behind-the-scenes of Romero's currently-titled ...Of The Dead.
Someone got their grubby little hands on the screener DVD and video taped the footage while playing back on a small TV. It's now made it's way to YouTube, and you can see it below. It might not last long, so if you want to see it, now's the time to do so.

For three days this past July, the undead took over a residential neighborhood in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Today, Fangoria TV is pleased to present the visual evidence, in the short film, See The Dead.
A loveletter to the zombie genre, created to be seen by "Godfather" George A. Romero himself - Filmmaker Robert W. Filion took the time to give Fangoria the details on the film, and the story behind it - in his own words.
"I wrote “See the Dead” in 1 day and used the first draft as the final. As a fan of the genre, numerous nods are placed throughout the narrative (mostly to Romero’s Dead films).
The following week, my mom passed away, therefore, I neglected pre-production for almost 2 weeks to mourn and be with family. Being an artist herself, she would have understood my need to complete this film, while so many others would...
