Could Invincible be getting more seasons on Prime Video? According to Skybound Republic, an investment/crowdfunding site that allows fans to invest in the label, more episodes of the ultra-violent comic book action series are coming. In a since-deleted portion of the webpage, the site said Invincible Season 3 is in production, while the show had been renewed for Seasons 4 and 5. The webpage promotes a video game set in the Invincible universe, which fans can help fund. The crowdfunded project sits at $442,700 as of this posting, with 14 days to go in the campaign.
A portion of the mission statement for the campaign describes why making a video based on a licensed property causes some problems:
“Most crowdfunded video games are centered around indie games, and retail investors rarely have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of Aaa game publishers. Skybound is developing a highly produced, high-octane blood bath that is anything but indie.

It appears Ezra Miller was quietly recast as mad scientist D.A. Sinclair in Season 2 of Prime Video’s Invincible.
Miller voiced the character in one episode in the first season of the adult animated series, but when Sinclair appeared in the March 28th episode, the character was voiced by Eric Bauza.
Deadline has reached out to Prime Video for comment.
Miller, embattled star of The Flash and Fantastic Beasts, has been embroiled in multiple scandals. Last year, they pleaded guilty to unlawful trespassing in a burglary case in Vermont after cutting a plea deal ahead of the hearing. In 2022, Miller agreed to mental health treatment after a string of run-ins with the law.

Yes, it’s finally here. The release of the nail-biting trailer for part two of Invincible Season 2 caused fans to go into an exhilarating frenzy. From unexpected alliances to heart-stopping action sequences, the upcoming episodes seem to be a wild ride that will leave us begging for answers. Also, take note that the decision by Amazon to divide the second season of its remarkable animated superhero series by Robert Kirkman into two parts has been somewhat not warmly received.
Well, following the first four episodes of Invincible season 2, which debuted on Prime Video on November 24, 2023, fans were forced to endure a torturous four months without new developments in the story of Mark Grayson, a.k.a. Invincible. Thankfully, part two of Invincible Season 2 is going to be available shortly (next month). To brighten the situation, Prime Video has just released an intriguing teaser for upcoming content.

The final half of “Invincible” is nearly here, and Prime Video has released the first trailer for the bloody finale to Season 2.
Season 2 Part 2, which consists of four episodes, begins streaming on Prime Video on March 14 and will release each episode weekly.
Part 1 released back in November and ended on several cliffhangers, with Invincible, aka Mark Grayson, bumping into his father Omni-Man, who tried to kill him in the Season 1 finale, on an alien planet. The tense reunion got even more awkward when Omni-Man revealed he had fathered a child with one of the insectoid alien members. Together, Invincible and Omni-Man barely defeated three Viltrumite attackers, who took Omni-Man back to their base and ordered Invincible to prepare Earth for takeover.
The Season 2 Part 2 trailer teases even more bloody, limb-snapping, intergalactic action. Invincible returns to space and must handle an invasion from the mind-controlling, parasitic aliens seen in the first season.

Skybound Entertainment, the company behind animated TV series “Invincible,” has acquired the historic Spike & Mike’s animation events, with plans for a revival. Marge Dean, head of studio at Skybound Entertainment, announced the news at Toronto’s Animation Industry Conference (Taafi) on Saturday.
Spike & Mike began in the 1970s as a curator of animated shorts. “Spike & Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation,” which showcased out-of-the-box animated shorts, is known today for launching the careers of industry professionals such as Pete Docter (“Inside Out”), Matt Stone and Trey Parker (“South Park”) and John Lasseter (“Toy Story”).
Skybound said it will seek to honor the treasured brand by relaunching the animation events, making animated shorts available digitally, highlighting current talent in the animation industry through collaborations and reintroducing the Spike & Mike library. Details of the festival are still in the works, but planned awards initiatives include development opportunities, project stipends and acquisitions.

A European TV project will soon be on the same quality level as American but for half the cost, predicted Mediawan and Sony execs today.
As the TV world gets set to emerge from the dual U.S. labor strikes, Mediawan CEO Elisabeth D’Arvieu said European production now has a “big competitive advantage” over America, pointing to tax credits across the continent during a panel at the Mia Market.
“We have a very favorable environment in terms of cost in places like Spain, Italy, Greece and Belgium,” she added. “The combination of a very cost-effective system and pool of talent is an incredible competitive advantage for European studios such as ours.”
Brendan Fitzgerald, Sony Pictures Television’s SVP International Co-Productions in Spain, pointed to shows from Sony labels Bad Wolf, Left Bank and Eleven shooting in Cee and Greece, which “work well in terms of location, crew, talent and tax credit.

Updated with clarification: Paramount Television Studios is turning its back on limited series in the U.S., Nicole Clemens has revealed.
Clemens, who runs Ptvs as President, said that she is focused on global stories that “have broader appeal and are propulsive and entertaining” during her Mia Market keynote at the Rome TV and film confab this afternoon.
Miniseries such as Paramount+/Ptvs biographical drama The Offer, which told the story of the making of The Godfather, are a no-go area for the time being.
“The only thing we’re not doing is limited series in the U.S.,” she said. “They are still happening internationally and people are still looking for opportunistic ways to make hit limited series but we are looking for contemporary, ongoing shows.”

According to Big Deal Films co-founder Joshi, the A24-distributed comedy has now notched up one of the highest shares of Black viewers for a BBC comedy of all time, around one quarter.
Joshi in part put this down to “creative choices” made throughout the making of the series, which took more than five years to get from web series to screen.

With a budget less than 20 times that of The Boys and “barely” any marketing, Amazon Prime Video’s Invincible has succeeded through word of mouth and attracting new viewers to the genre, according to its EP Marge Dean.
Dean, who runs Walking Dead maker Skybound Entertainment’s Animation Studio, claimed in a Mia Market keynote today that the streamer spends around 20 times more per episode on The Boys, its smash hit superhero series.
Invincible, however, has at times joined The Boys in Amazon’s top-five most-watched shows, Dean said. The first season of the adult animation from Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman launched in 2021 and a second will premiere in November. Based on the Image Comics series of the same name by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, the show follows 17-year-old Mark Grayson and his transformation into a superhero under the guidance of his father Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on the planet.
Rome’s Mia Market, dedicated to international TV series, animation, feature films, documentaries and more, kicked off Monday in the Eternal City’s 17th century Palazzo Barberini. There were some 2,300 registered industry execs on day one – roughly 300 of which are buyers – more than 120 selected projects on display, and plenty of panels.
At a press conference, Mia director Gaia Tridente noted that, sadly, a group of industry execs who were expected to arrive from Israel, including “Waltz With Bashir” director Ari Folman, are being forced to stay in the country by the war that has broken out with Palestinian militant group Hamas. “Our thoughts go out to them and we hope to be able to welcome them in Rome in a context of peace and security for all,” Tridente said.

Rome’s Mia Market Boss on Exploring “Creative Possibilities” of Technology and What Is New This Year
Rome’s Mia Market has become one of the most important events on the schedule of International producers and developers. Aside from its market-oriented aspect, Mia aims to be, first and foremost, a place where the most influential people in the audiovisual sector can meet.
The goal for this year’s edition, which opened on Monday and runs through Friday, Oct. 13, is to expand the scope and increase the event’s range and offerings.
As per usual, content is the starting point. For this reason, further visibility and resources have been allotted to the Mia Xr section that explores and delves into the technological innovations in the movie and TV industries, ranging from special effects to virtual reality.
The same vision to enrich and enhance the content offered has been extended to the animation subdivision, which launched last year with success. “We wanted to try and explore the creative possibilities that technology can give producers,...

From women in animation to hot debuts, Screen previews the festival.
The Annecy International Animated Film Festival (June 12-17) opens today. Screen runs through five key things to look out for.
1. Key debuts
Annecy will host first-look footage of Pixar’s upcoming title Coco (pictured) and showcase the world premiere of Universal’s Despicable Me 3, two of the most anticipated animation movies of the year. The level of buzz will be telling.
The response to Animal Crackerz, the starry Spanish-us co-pro, will also be intriguing.
At the other end of the financial spectrum, the festival will host the premiere of Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman’s Loving Vincent, which is billed as the world’s ‘first fully-painted feature film’. The biopic of Vincent Van Gogh was made by 125 painters producing more than 60,000 oil paintings. In advance of the Annecy premiere, the film’s trailer racked up 2.6m views on YouTube.

Competition titles revealed; exclusive first footage to screen from Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur and Disney’s Zootopia.
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival (June 15-20) is to spotlight the contribution of women to animation and their growing presence in the medium.
This year’s Honorary Cristal will be awarded to French director Florence Miailhe, whose unusual technique has been called “film painting”. She was first at Annecy in 2000 with Au premier dimanche d’aout, which won the Cear for Best Short Film, and won a special mention at Cannes in 2006 for her short Conte de quartier.
Sticking with the female focus, there will be films about maternity and sexuality, the female imagination and a strand titled The Future Is Woman.
Canadian filmmaker Janet Perlman, who secured an Oscar nomination with The Tender Tale of Cinderella Penguin (1981), will also be the subject of a special focus.
