Next Christmas, you could be playing the Silent Night, Deadly Night board game if you support a recently launched Kickstarter campaign from the producers of Silent Night, Deadly Night and Fright Rags:
The producers of Silent Night, Deadly Night have teamed up with horror merch stalwart Fright-Rags to create a tabletop game based on the 1984 Christmas slasher classic. It's available to pre-order through Kickstarter.
Working as a team, 1-4 players will need strategy, bravery, and a little luck to stop murderous Santa Billy from reaching St. Mary's Home for Orphaned Children! Roll the dice and make your move while Billy stalks along his path. Collect weapons, roadblocks, and snowballs to help your fight — and when that time comes, flick the spinner to determine your fate!
The board features five "kill zones" with new illustrations by Justin Osbourn, which will be revealed throughout the campaign. A deck of 30 action cards guarantees each game is unique,...

Exclusive: Orwo Studios and Black Hanger Studios (Jeepers Creepers: Reborn) have acquired remake rights to controversial 1984 slasher film Silent Night, Deadly Night, which Orwo is beginning sales on at the virtual EFM.
The original film’s producers Scott Schneid and Dennis Whitehead of Wonderwheel Entertainment are also aboard with a planned delivery date in 2022.
Silent Night, Deadly Night tells the story of a child who is traumatized after seeing his parents killed by a man dressed as Santa Claus. Years later, he dons a Santa suit himself and gets bloody revenge. The movie spawned multiple sequels over the years and a loose remake in 2012.
It was the original that caused a stir, however.
The cult film was among the more controversial films of the ’80s due to its graphic violence and advertising campaign, particularly its posters and TV spots, that made significant emphasis on the killer being dressed as Santa.

If you missed Part 1 and Part 2 of our Silent Night, Deadly Night retrospective, be sure to check them out before you proceed!
After Silent Night, Deadly Night: Part 2 failed to garner even half the reaction that the original film did, the subsequent installments in the franchise from that point forward all went straight-to-video. It was in 1989 that rights holders Live Entertainment – who had released the first two films on VHS – spearheaded the revival of the series, rushing a second sequel into production.
Independent producer Arthur Gorson was the man put in charge of the third installment, hired for the job in March of 1989 with the mission of having the film finished and released on video in time for that year’s holiday season. Gorson was and still is to this day good friends with veteran filmmaker Monte Hellman (Two-Lane Blacktop), who he suggested as director of the project. Though Gorson...
