Just because a TV show has been cancelled, doesn't mean it should be forgotten. A list of my favorite TV shows that have been long cancelled, and most likely forgotten over time.

Votes: 25,868

I've just rediscovered this 1988 Comedy Central series, which follows a man named Joel (later this would change to Mike), who was blasted into space and is forced to watch the cheesiest, most ridiculous old movies there are. The show originally starred Joel Hodgson, who is also the creator of the show. Later, Michael J. Nelson took over the lead role.

"Better watch out for those man eatin' jack rabbits, and that killer cacti..."

Hey Dude was a short-lived Nickelodeon TV show that centered around a group of teenagers that worked at the Bar-None Dude Ranch. Their boss was the hapless Mr. Ernst. It was a very entertaining TV show, that seems to have been forgotten by most over the years.

The musical adventures of the singing trio Sharon, Lois, and Bram and their friend, Elephant.

Votes: 600

This was a show I used to watch when I was very little. It was a Canadian children's TV show, in which musical trio Sharon, Lois and Bram sang songs, with the help of their friend, Elephant. It was short-lived and not very well-known. According to the IMBD profile on the show, the trio still toured and performed in Canada well after the show had ended.

5. Jem (1985–1988)

TV-Y7 | 22 min | Animation, Adventure, Drama

Jerrica Benton is secretly the leader of the glamorous and exciting music group, Jem and the Holograms.

Stars: Samantha Newark, Patricia Alice Albrecht, Cathianne Blore, Cindy McGee

Votes: 3,061

I used to love watching Jerrica go to great lengths to hide the fact that she was Jem... leader of the band "Jem and the Holograms." Of course, Eric Raymond and the Misfits were always around to spoil the good times.

6. Clarissa Explains It All (1991–1994)

TV-G | 30 min | Comedy, Family

As events unfold in her life, Clarissa explains to the viewer the motivations behind people's actions.

Stars: Melissa Joan Hart, Jason Zimbler, Elizabeth Hess, Joe O'Connor

Votes: 9,672

Clarissa always has the answers. Follow a teenaged Melissa Joan Hart as Clarissa Marie Darling, a teenager who spends her time dodging her weird parents, her troublesome little brother, Ferguson, and hangs out with her best friend, Sam, who always came to visit through her bedroom window. Toward the end of the series, as Clarissa prepares for college, she announces she wants to go into journalism. I remember watching it and thinking that it was so cool that she wanted to write. Guess what my college major was? ;)

Way cool!

Not many stations, if any, run this show in syndication anymore. I used to watch it at 5:00 am, while I waited until it was time to go out and catch the school bus. For that time of morning, it was definitely entertaining!

Stars: Harry Anderson, John Larroquette, Richard Moll, Charles Robinson

Votes: 17,882

I used to watch Night Court on Nick at Nite when I was a kid, and couldn't sleep at night. I may have been too young to get a lot of the humor, but I do remember a young Brent Spiner playing "BobWheeler" and having that basket of Necco Wafers. Weird, but funny. :)

Another one of my late night indulgences as a kid. My father and I would watch it together sometimes, when he got home from his bowling night. Who could forget Vinnie Barbarino (played by a young John Travolta), Freddie "Boom Boom" Washington, and of course, Arnold Horschak.

"Ooooh! Ooooh!"

Votes: 245

Another fun show from Nickelodeon. The show takes place at Hawthorne High School with the bumbling vice principal, Mr. Lippman and his absentminded secretary Miss Petruka as the obligatory adults. The kids were Walter, a bumbling schemer, Grant, the dumb athlete, and his girlfriend Alex; and Grant's sister Erin.
