Black Mirror: Loch Henry (2023)
Not Black Mirror
I'm sorry but this is not Black Mirror. For starters, there's nothing related to the future, it's basically set today. What brought people to watch this show was mainly seeing dark turns of how technology could ruin our lives. How's this futuristic at all? So we have a murderer and the parents are murderers too. Why would this be shocking to find when we don't even know the characters? After the plot twist was revealed I was hoping that there would be another plot twist because it couldn't be this basic of an episode after 4 years. Then again, she had all the proof at her house? Seriously? Pics of the victims in her drawers? What a joke.
The Witcher: What Is Lost (2021)
The agenda being pushed as usual
Like the rest said you can notice the agenda. There's not a lot of content and it's very slow which is disappointing considering the flawless episode 1.
Again the whole men vs women white vs black narrative completely ignoring what the show is about. "What's with men lurking everywhere" Yen says. Where the hell did that come from? "People think we come to destroy with our black armor says the black woman". Suddenly every series nowadays is all about strong women at the top and abusive weak men on the other side. Is this the idea of equality these feminist writers have? Cause it seems the exact opposite. Misandry is just as bad as misogyny and racism is racism no matter where it comes from.
Also the only one who seems to act like a witcher here is Geralt, the rest act like regular humans. Hopefully it'll improve but so far it's been pretty bleak.
My Octopus Teacher (2020)
Proof of how heartless humans can be
These are magnificent, smart creatures filled with personality as I think we all know by now. This octopus really became his friend, strangely enough, being antisocial as they are, she accepted this human. He was her (probably only) friend and he did nothing to defend her two times. Oh "there are lines you shouldn't cross". Newsflash, you already *are* interfering with nature when you befriend an octopus. You are willing to feed her but you wouldn't keep her safe from a shark attack that she had *because* she was out of her den interacting with you? Their bond was what put her in danger all the time in the first place and yet he did nothing to make up for it! He became a help for her hunting strategy of a lobster so I don't see how that is not called human intervention on his side or do we get to choose when to interfere? Not even when she was dying would he have the courtesy to honor her by protecting her from the fish. The point is, if a lion attacks your dog you would interfere cause he is your family and this is no different. Even in the water, this wasn't a random animal he encountered, he had been with her gaining her trust for a year and he became her family so in my opinion it felt terribly heartless.
I consider this documentary animal abuse and because of that I will rate it a 1. This guy is clearly a horrible person.
La casa de papel: Lección de anatomía (2020)
Unrealistic and out of place
I don't get it. Why would Palermo release this guy knowing who he was if he loved the plan? how would killing everybody grant him the plan when they're against the Spanish government itself? it makes no sense. Also adding up to how ridiculous it was that a bunch of people with no medical background could save Nairobi and after having a part of her lungs removed she wakes up 2 days afterwards being able to fight off a guy who tried to choke her.
Also, will the whole season be about this freak who was set loose and some memories about Berlin to please his fans?
Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (2019)
Predictable
Even though AI exists this takes it to another level meaning the whole mind of a person can be put in a doll. The problem is the episode lacks depth and it really does feel like a disney comedy. No dark twists and predictable. I seriously doubt the episode was aimed towards grown ups. If anything this wasn't really a black mirror about technology cause it even saved her life. It was barely about her criminal aunt trying to get away with putting her in a coma through drugs.
I gave it a 5 only cause it is a futuristic idea and I'm being generous. The rest is not worth it.
Black Mirror: Smithereens (2019)
Boring
It didn't feel like Black Mirror which even if they never stated it was about dark twists of futuristic technology. It was even placed in the past!
I get the message of "we have to be careful with online addictions" but that's not original and it's rather predictable. We're in 2019! we hear and read articles about this topic all day. The show is going a different direction now and I honestly fell asleep during the whole episode.
Black Mirror: Striking Vipers (2019)
Interesting idea
Clearly goes to show how we're limited by our minds. These two were in love with their souls. Once their bodies weren't a limitation they let it all flow. Bit slow I'd say but nice take on it.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
Horrible
Not even worth analyzing... 30 minutes into the episode you just wanted it to end due to how boring and empty it was. And to think they were offered 10 episodes and they said they could wrap it up in 6! 2 years and they came up with this?
It's a joke to all of the fans that followed this show through almost 10 years making it a worldwide hit. The whole season will sadly go down in history as the worst flop in a tv series ever.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
Just weird
So Dany decided to kill everybody instead of looking for Cersei when the bell rang? How does that make any sense? They had already surrendered! Also she wasted time burning people like crazy leaving the Red Keep alone when Cersei could have escaped and we didn't even get to see her kill her in person. You just ruined Dany's character.
How did Jaime endure being stabbed twice to make the soap opera with Cersei while Euron died in a minute?
Is the mountain immortal?
Where the hell did that horse come from in the last scene? you're telling me after a dragon destroyed the city there's a healthy horse wandering about exactly where Arya is?
This episode was obviously aimed at traumatizing Arya so she kills Dany in the next episode. Predictable and rather boring.
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Epic battle but
Really epic battle. Kept me shaking throughout all the episode and the soundtrack was awesome.
However, it's just strange that no main character dies after having to fight thousands of white walkers. It's like there's always another hero around the corner to save a main character.
Why would the Dothraki go alone first and why didn't the rest react until they all died?
The fight between the dragons was rather confusing. I didn't get the whole going back into the clouds to continue the fight yet the fight stops the moment they step away from it. What happened to John's dragon? Why would Daenerys stay on the ground with the dragon knowing it was getting attacked? why didn't she order it to fly?.
So we have Arya who was running for her life halfway through the episode, meaning she was severly wounded, yet somehow she manages to get past the massive army protecting the NK which also included its main warriors. How could they not notice her coming? A kid just happens to stab the NK and kill it in a second when dragon fire didn't even scratch him? the whole army gone in just an episode?
Bran spent pretty much the whole episode gone. Apparently sent his crows somewhere and as we can see it was towards the NK but first off, why would it take him so long as to be "sleeping" for most of the episode and what for? what was the point for him to say "I'm gonna go now" if nothing happened with his crows nor him in the first place and Arya kills the NK? is Bran anything other than a spying decoration?
Probably one of the strongest episodes I've seen on tv visually wise but it was far fetched in general. Too many plotholes.
Game of Thrones: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (2019)
Filler episode
Boring in general. Filler episode when it's episode 2 and there are only 6 episodes in the whole season after 2 years? The writing was ridiculous, we haven't had a good line in forever. You come up with a conversation between Bran and Tyrion 2 of the most intelligent characters pretty much in the show and all we get is 2 words?. For shame.
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)
No freedom
There's no freedom here. Your're taken back all the time to fix stuff you did wrong. You can also go back only when the system sees fit.
Vikings: Moments of Vision (2018)
Boring
Could the characters be any more boring? it's like there's no one you want to root for. Even Floki got boring. So he's got a guy killing people randomly on this new island they live on and his plan is to offer himself as a sacrifice? really?. And whatever happened to Lagertha? why would she forgive margrethe over and over when she knows for sure she's going to betray her after she did it like 3 times already? why would she even care to forgive her?. Ivar's character is not only boring but all around evil. It's like the main character nowadays seems to be what in a normal show would be the nemesis. Ubbe and Hvitserk are nobodies and Bjorn crying for his wife that he met a month ago? ok that's realistic. Hopefully Rollo will bring something new cause after Ragnar's death this is going downhill.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018)
Too political
So I had really high expectations for this. I was expecting something close to Buffy and instead I see myself watching to a magic show with barely any magic, pretentious rude girls with barely any personality but the sheer will to disobey for the hell of it. I get it, discriminating is wrong, but this is way too much. There's an anti men message every 2 seconds. Seriously, witches criticizing their leader for being a man when he's not even human?. There's no depht in any character to make you like them at all. Hilda has barely any personality and Zelda is standofish and stuck up. The main character Sabrina is boring in general and the guys except for the black guy replacing the black cat have no personality at all. Is there a hidden message there? I seriously doubt they were targeting this show at any other person that is not a female teenager. So guys watching this, get ready to hear a lot of man bashing cause yes, in this show being a man is a sin. Real waste of a great opportunity to come up with a great product.
