Very funny!
15 November 2021
Ryan Reynolds is hilarious and Dwayne Johnson is also great at having the mick taken out of him.

But the highlight is Ed Sheeran's cameo...proper laugh out load stuff!

Really enjoyable.

Colin Farrell and Tom Courtenay stole the show!
23 October 2021
This was a very dark, twisted and miserable tale and excellently executed.

Colin Farrell was absolutely superb as the sociopathic Henry.

He was a mix of incredibly funny and unnervingly twisted.

And Tom Courtenay as Baxter was simply outstanding, he was so amusing and his mannerisms and demeanour had me hooked, even though he was a wrong 'un 😀

I thoroughly enjoyed this superb mini series, going to mourn its ending 😉

HOW DID THIS FILM GET A PG RATING?!
7 September 2020
I took my 3 with my partner and he hated it. My 3 kids were scared at a number of scenes throughout and I wished I'd read the reviews before taking them... there was me thinking it would be a lovely, magical kids tale! There are some quite disturbing scenes.. Even the Tuna's breathing was enough to give anyone nightmares. A little on the long side too. Having said that it is beautifully filmed, really stunning in places. Certainly different. Good acting from the kids. And the adults, even if many of their characters were weird 😊

I can't understand the hype
23 November 2019
I'll be brief, the first third of the film was slow, boring and a bit like a fly in the wall documentary. One hour in I was waiting for something exciting to happen due it being a Quentin Tarantino movie. But we literally were nodding off so we switched it off. I actually want to watch the rest of it as I'm sure something will develop. Maybe. Amazing cast though to be fair.

Joaquin Pheonix is mesmerising and incredible
14 October 2019
I was gripped and couldn't take my eyes off him. Watching him at times made me uncomfortable as his character made me cringe and feel embarrassed for him, a sure sign of how realistic his portrayal was of someone so damaged and unaware. I loved the twists and how the story unfolded. I wanted for people to show him compassion and just knew it wasn't going to happen. His dancing was captivating and unexpected! And the way he contorted his body gave additional dark, but hypnotic viewing. Excellent all round, especially as it deviated from the comic book stuff in a very captivating way. Loved it. Loved him. Joaquin Pheonix you are one talented, alluring man! Todd Phillips thank you for a fantastic film.

Absolutely ruined by taking "He Lives in Me" out
28 July 2019
Who on earth decided to take one of the most powerful tracks out and replace it with a Beyoncé warbling something completely different? It absolutely ruined it for me. The entire film did not have the same ooomph throughout, especially the opening scene, although admittedly it was visually beautiful. The visuals are stunning and the script is almost the same as the original which is good. But i feel let down. It's good but I feel disappointed. I expected magic.

What on earth was that 😀

Absolutely terrible, Brucey boy what on earth were you thinking? 😀 And parts of it are dubbed! We laughed at the chap getting shot down saying he wasn't going to make it home for his tea then the baby pic flying through the air.... Oh dear, cheesy and terrible acting and the CJI was pants.
