Ronny Chieng: Speakeasy (2022 TV Special)

Not funny
17 July 2022
I used to really like him, but to hear 20 mins about why he hates the U. K. despite the fact he's been warmly welcomed over here. Jokes weren't funny and certainly didn't 'pull out the rug' from those listening. I wouldn't recommend this comedian ever again and sincerely hope he doesn't come back, given how terrible we apparently are. Stay in the states and keep telling them how much you love them. You won't be missed. A couple of positive notes though, was the intro music and the fact he was dressed like the bad guy in Indiana Jones, Temple of Doom.

Just wtf?
22 May 2022
This was by far the worst one of the third series. It just didn't appeal, the dancing was weird and just everything about it left me wondering what the point. Pity the series ended on such a sour note.

Old jokes and nothing new
26 April 2022
I was really excited to see this, but sadly all his jokes and even the delivery was exactly the same as he had done when they were said on his Russell Howard hour tv show. If you've seen the tv series, then don't bother with this, as you already heard it all.

Double 0 out of 10 for me
1 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was really disappointed with this movie. I had been looking so forward to seeing this for so long.

The action scenes were great and the pacing of the film was also spot on for a bond movie and would have gotten it an easy 8/10 from me. However with the ridiculous move to kill off bond and to make this whole surprise daughter of bond, of whom is the reason he just gives up and dies just ruined it for me.

I am so very very disappointed and won't be recommending it to anyone.

I look forward to the next bond movie, if only so I can pretend this tripe never existed.

Very disappointing.

Omg bloody brilliant!
1 January 2020
Just watched the first episode and had to come straight here to review it.

I thought it had some fantastic twists, unexpected changes and twists galore. The moment the end credits rolled, only one word came out my mouth (and no it didn't include a fly) 'Awesome!'

Can't wait to see the next episode tomorrow.

Highly recommend this to everybody. A definite must see.

IT couldn't have been better
9 September 2019
This was an absolutely fantastic film. Loved it in that it made me jump, laugh and jump again. Brilliant acting, loads of scares and really recommend it to others to see. I can't wait for the directors 'supercut' when it's released with all the extras and additional scenes. I would really love an IT 3 if there was going to be one (although I don't think there will be, unless they do a prequel before the losers club.

Epic disappointment
23 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The only reason this got three stars was for simply having the actors Kevin, Dennis and Paul in the movie.

Three actors that usually guarantee a pretty decent movie, but this one just fell completely flat. Whole plot line of the movie just made no sense and had so many holes in it that it was a wonder that it ever got made.

God doesn't want the baby to live and can do such things as make the universe in 7 days, but for some reason relies on squishy, limited human bodies possessed by angels to do it.

Not to mention the fact that at one point a car goes over multiple times only to smash down on the roof, killing one adult passenger, yet a loosely held, unbuckled new born baby survives without a scratch.

Shall we go on to say that 3/4 of the movie are the supposed build up to protecting this unborn baby and now it's sudd born the angel infested humans are no longer interested and simply let them walk away, yet Paul and Kevin still have to fight it out to kill the child.

Total steaming pile of disappointment that is so bad I will just have to pray for a miracle in that I will eventually forget watching it.

Lot of hype, lot of excitement but lot of let down
12 May 2019
I really had high hopes for this film, especially having seen the trailers and couldn't wait to see it. However a lot of what happened was expected and choices certain people made in dealing with the child was already obvious. I found I noticed how long the film took, rather than being immersed and given previous movies by the same director I felt a bit let down. I certainly wouldn't recommend it to others and for those I did say to watch, I'm very sorry.

Boring and not catchy at all
24 April 2019
I was really looking forward to this, as I have really enjoyed the marvel movies. However this didn't live up to the hype, didn't grab me in the slightest and just found it very unoriginal and slow. Only reason I gave this a one star is because I thought the de-aging of Fury and Coulson was just brilliant and certainly showed what should have been achieved with superman and his tash. Anyway I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone. Waste of time.

A great remake
4 April 2019
I had high expectations for this and I have to say it didn't disappoint. It was better than the original and I enjoyed some of the changes they made fro the source material, and original film.

It made me jump in a few places and it was lovely to see John lithgow doing some fantastic acting. The little girl Ellie was also very good given her age and that cat is one grumpy sour-puss. (Pun intended)

It would have been full stars if one actor in particular had been dropped as I really don't see how they contributed anything to the storyline. Won't point fingers, as I'm confident when you have seen the movie, you'll know who it is straightaway.

Would watch again and recommend others to see it too.

Tasty!
13 October 2018
I really enjoyed this film and thought it was funny and full of action.

Also well thought out with the way the simbiote and Brock first meet and how you get the impression which actions in the fight scenes are venom and which are brocks.

Anyway critics have really not got a clue. The film was interesting, funny and worth watching. I look forward to venom 2
