Darkwave: Edge of the Storm (2016)

Intriguing sci-fi short

It could be used as a long teaser/trailer for a full-length movie. I want to see more. This would totally work as a serial in the theme of old radio series where you turn in next time to continue the story and find out what happened to the characters. The video does leave a lot of questions which it seems to be taken for granted the audience already knows the answers to (unless they were thinking of introducing the backstory through flashbacks of some sort. I thought the special effects were pretty well done. Acting is not terrible and the visual quality is very good. The level of special effects reminded me of early Battlestar Gallactica. If you like sci-fi, give this a look. I found it on YouTube.

A very memorable film

I too saw this when I was a teenager (I'm almost 49 now). I only saw it once, but I remember enough of it very well. The idea that through apathy or lack of controls, our government could be hijacked from us left a lasting impression on me as a young teen. I remember the resistance movement, the concentration camp, the flag at the end... Now, I'm telling everyone about it in light of the events unfolding in our nation today. People need to pay attention to what's going on... If anyone can provide me with a copy of this movie in any condition, on any media (VHS, DVD, .mpg file) let me know please. Does anyone find it "weird" that you can't find a copy of this anywhere to buy? Not on Amazon or on Ebay?
