Inventing Anna (2022)

Brilliant ! And True !

I can't believe how many bad reviews this has .

I found this series very good ,interesting and with great acting. And Anna's accent portrayed by the actor is spot on. If you watch interviews with the real Anna ,the actor has got her accent down brilliantly. And it must have been very hard to perfect a German,Russian ,American accent.

The story line is true and as are Anna's friends.

I must say I absolutely love the actor who plays Casey ,she is amazing and so quirky and seemed to be funny without even trying. I'd love to watch more programmes with her in..they are sure to be good.

Was gutted when it finished ,I binged them all in two evenings.

Finch (2021)

A very moving film

Tom Hanks plays a dying man ,and he struggles to survive in a Apocalyptic world. He builds a robot to out live him so the robot can care for his beloved dog when he has gone.

The robot named Jeff ,develops ,and builds a bond with the dog,named Goodyear.

This film moved me to tears.

Tom Hanks is just amazing in this.

The dog is amazing too ! And as a huge dog lover this movie madee smile and also made me cry..... Tbh if this film doesn't move you, then your insensitive and inhuman.

It's that simple.

It is a must watch.

Your Honor (II) (2020–2023)

Could have been excellent

This show would have been great if the father had not done alot of insane things to cover up the crime. And the son seemed to bumble along , stumbling into more complications along the way,totally undoing the cover ups his father had put in place. No one can be that stupid!

In the very beginning the son had a asthma attack and could not speak when he rang the ambulance,so tbh this was all over the top as he did try to help the boy he hit with his car.

I stuck with it to the end. But the end was a shock and upsetting.

The Haunting of Hill House (2018)

Great ghost story and love story.It is both !

I really enjoyed this,binge watched in two evenings.This story developed slowly.More revealing in the last 3 episodes. It is set around the lives of a family that lived there a long time ago (this becomes apparent later in the series) and the dwellers of the present years, that being the (1980s).I love the 80s jeans and jumpers ! The acting is good,and haunting.The american actress who plays Danni is amazing.I have seen her in a programme called YOU on Netfix,worth checking out. I liked the narration throughout, it added a haunting appeal.But the narrators accent was hit and miss,between posh English and a Yorkshire accent.I prefered the yorkshire lilt. I think this could easily have a second series,it would be brilliant if it did. Ohhh and did anyone notice the eyes?! Miles and Dannys ! Worth a mention that the children were brilliant little actors. Give it a go. It was perfectly Splendid.

Orphan Black (2013–2017)

Very repetitive and involves animal cruelty

Was a good series untill Series 5 when it gets very repetitive. And the brat that plays kira (who got given a pet mouse ) was repeatedly filmed picking it up by its tail ! Which they obviously think is ok when it is extremely cruel to do that and can cause the poor animal alot of pain.

A bit frantic and all over the place. Not much of a storyline and rather unbelievable.Billy Piper is very good in it and her on screen hubby is a great character and seems to have a comedy factor about him and that should have been used more.A bit more of him in it would really have helped the series and the storyline.As it didnt seem to have an aim to it.Suzie obviously loved her child but it was rather unbelievable her leaving the family home several times.And also the ending was a anti climax and dissapointing. With the hint that she may be preganant but left her home and family to wandering the streets. I will actually look forward to watching it continue if there is going to be a second series as Im interested where this haphazard story is going to go.

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020)

I watched the original Penny Dreadfull series using characters such as frankenstein ,Dorian Grey,Dracula and the Devil .I thought the original series was genious.With the acting being superb. But this new series is shocking! Absolutely nothing in common with the original. The storyline is about race,if you could actually call it a storyline. Terrible and boring.I didn't get past the first episode.

Good Girls (2018–2021)

I binge watched all 3 series over a few days.The funniest thing I have watched since Afterlife.It literally had me laughing out loud ALOT ! People saying it isn't realistic of course not ! Its entertainment ! All 3 main characters are naturally funny.Especialy the actors that are Annie and Ruby , they literally have funny bones,their facial expressions have me laughing alone with out them needing to say a word. I watched the actor that plays Beth in Tinstar so this is great watching her doing something totally differant.A much needed series. Give it a go ,it is very funny.

Make Me a Dealer (2018– )

I love antiques programmes especially flog it.But this is excruciating.The amateur dealers are uncomfortable to watch and some are extremely arrogant and cheeky bordering on rude when trying to get down prices.And usualy they do not take Pauls advice! I dont know how he keeps his mouth shut !

Really going to miss this .Hope they make a third series.The main 3 characters are just brilliant! And also very funny ! Good mystery storylines with comedy and amazing acting with lines and facial expressions that made me belly laugh.

I have read all the books and watched the films and Iv got to say I expected the worst dueto the terrible reviews.But I was pleasantly surprised by this film.It was fast paced and to the point and not much sex which was good.As the books do go over similar sex scenes far too much.When you read a book you do have high expectations as you have a scene etc in your head but this film did not disappoint.

Seal is an airline pilot that tops up his money smuggling cigars! Then ends up getting ensnared by the cia to take air photos and he then jumps from this to smuggling coke ! He becomes very very rich and it is quite amusing as Seal has kept video diaries of all his escapades. Overall a good film and enjoyable.

I found this film moving at times but also a bit disturbing that a man of a certain age can have a relationship with a teen.The story did not end as It should have in my opinion.A bit of a odd film I thought.

I honestly enjoyed this movie.The story is good and the music is ace.Very graphic in places maybe not needed tbh, but I watched it all and believe me if it's crap I switch off.It got me hooked after a few minutes. Maybe the acting a bit iffy in places but not bad enough to slate the film.
