Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen (2022)
Not Sure Why But Feels Really Flat
Like most Bleach fans, I was excited for this final arc to be animated.
Despite the obvious plot holes we already know, I enjoyed the manga version of this arc. Throw in the fact that Kubo Tite was directly involved in the production and the animation finally was of quality, this should have been awesome...
I can't pinpoint why, but unfortunately this series felt really flat and bland, almost boring.
No fillers, the episodes stick closely to the manga and yet it was hard for me to finish the first episodes.
Maybe it's the music? Perhaps it's that the animation quality is great but too stylistic? I really wanted to love it but it somehow fell super short.
Would love to know what everyone thought.

Quite Un-Believable. What About Bob?
I was okay with the concept of watch it in any order but when the story isn't good, it just becomes a gimmick.
There are many things that happen in the show that just can't happen in real life which is what killed it for me.
Mainly, Bob. Who in their right mind would do a job with him? Clearly an idiot, and he proves it to everyone when they do the diamond district job to make the seed money. He doesn't have any skills they need, he is a timebomb, he has zero redeeming qualities. Not even Leo, the "boss" of the operation can control him, nor does he even try to. In fact everyone lets Bob be an idiot and no one puts their foot down.
Judy was cool and smart but all that gets ruined because she is with Bob. He is that much of a douche as a character. Judy was the writers way to justify Bob's involvement, and Bob was just there to try and add a "is he going to mess this up?" effect to build tension which is not even necessary as that is always the tension with a heist movie. Instead, it becomes "if they pull this off with Bob, this is the dumbest show ever."
Another thing. Leo, it's your fault your wife is dead. And how the hell did the curtain fire spread so fast that she couldn't get out? Because she was listening to music on her headphones? Are you kidding? Couldn't smell it? Feel the heat? No one knew she was there? And yeah, you're fired but actually come back and I need you to do stuff at night.
Other things not important but just stupid. Shrooms take more than 2 minutes to start working after being ingested. You steal to show a potential client security vulnerabilities in order to win them over, it's still stealing and jail time.

Objectively as possible, it was super boring
I was excited to finally see this movie with all the rave reviews, awards and hype behind it but man, it was so boring that I found it difficult to make it through to the end.
The main reason for me is because there was no character development. More specifically, there was nothing in any of the characters that made me care about them so the whole movie is just things happening and nothing at stake from a viewer's perspective.
Nothing that happens is particularly shocking or twisted either- I might even say that it's fairly predictable. Going back to my main point, didn't care for any of the events that happened.
Even if I didn't know about the hype beforehand I can objectively say it was just a boring movie. For me anyway.
