We Were Children (2012)
Heart Breaking
All I can say about this movie is it is heartbreaking. It is a very honest but sad and truthful movie about how lives were taken and how identities were stolen from the indigenous children.
Being forced to change who you were and they took every inch of their pride and dignity.
This movie will make you cry and break your heart, but it's important we learn about the indigenous culture and what they went through.
We must heal in order to move forward.
No Country for Old Men (2007)
Intense and Fierce
Javier Bardem is absolutely fabulous. He makes acting look so easy. The intensity he brings to the screen, will scare you to the bone. You feel every inch of his anger with every breath he takes yet his anger is so calm which makes no sense but it's the only way to describe it.
Josh Brolin is certainly no slouch in this movie, he is a natural born cowboy and you feel his struggle. The journey he strives for to protect himself and his wife.
You will not be disappointed, it's a must see be sure to bring your boots and cowboy hat and in the words of Javier Bardem "don't put the coin in your pocket with the other coins or it's not a lucky coin anymore it just becomes a coin like the others"
Bang! Bang!
The Kominsky Method (2018)
Just watch it! You won't be disappointed.
The Kominsky Method in a word is brilliant. Alan Arkin and his wit and sarcasm doesn't want you to leave the couch you are so drawn to him he becomes a part of your home. Michael Douglas is endearing and bitter yet you fall in love with the character Sandy. I honestly wish this show never ended it is an amazing story of two friends and their struggles in life. A friendship of 50 years, how they support one another yet continue to give each other a hard time to push one another to see the best in themselves. Go and watch it you won't be disappointed.
In the words of Sandy Kominsky "I will have a Jack Daniels on the rocks with a diet Dr Pepper"
