Megan Is Missing (2011)
Seems like something from the dark web?
Truly the worst movie I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of terrible stuff. The entire time I was watching this, I couldn't help thinking that the director himself was just some weird pervert. For instance, theres an entire scene that lasts a few minutes of a 14 year old girl getting brutally raped. In what world is a full fledged, multi-minute rape scene EVER an okay thing? Even if she wasn't a CHILD? And beyond that, the movie is just insistent on over sexualizing teen girls the entire time. Theres this scene where another 14 year old girl is explaining a bl*wjob that lasts a few minutes as well and its weirdly in depth. Like what was the point of that? Truly don't understand what the director is trying to get across????
Jammin' in Jamaica (2003)
Snubbed by the Academy
This movie transcends both time and space. Something like this has never been done or seen before in the history of animated doll movies. The character development, the cinematography, the SCORE... oh, the SCORE... Spontaneous Combustion opened my third eye. It's been 15 years but somehow I still know all the words. Truly a work of art that shall be cherished for decades, perhaps centuries, to come.
Alone (2020)
Super good but geographically WRONG...
So, loved the film. Very intense and a really good portrayal of how I or anyone else would feel being stalked or kidnapped. The actors were amazing. HOWEVER! I live and work in Portland and... in the opening scenes of the film, its clear shes never spent a day there in her life. She starts in the Pearl (downtown), then shes heading towards the Pearl (DOWNTOWN) and suddenly shes on the St Johns Bridge, which again, really only would head BACK TO DOWNTOWN!!!!!! This girl is going in absolute circles, and for what? CINEMATOGRAPHY??? I beg to differ!........................Overall, very good film, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The I-Land (2019)
Terrible omg
This was truly terrible.... the plot line hardly makes sense and all the characters are INSANE.... it's like they were trying to make some sort of crazy dystopian reality but it turned out to be insanely cheesy. I did watch the entire season though lol
Pihu (2016)
I hate children
I hate children. This movie was fairly good until the very end (and I mean the VERY END- right before the credits- you'll understand). But the whole time I wanted to smack that child. Even for how cute she was.
Midsommar (2019)
Was there shrooms in my popcorn?
I don't even know why I rated this movie an 8, because I have no idea how I felt about it. Was it good? Do I have the mental capacity to understand what was even happening? All I know is that this movie was visually pleasing and almost gave me a panic attack because I thought I was tripping on acid. I had to keep checking my phone just to let myself know I was sober and in a theater, not some psychedelic Caucasian fever dream. Very out of this world, and definitely something I've never encountered before. Everybody should experience this movie atleast once just so you know what I'm talking about.
