Bungo and Alchemist (2020)
Stop comparing to BSD-It's a good work in of itself
I found this when I was searching for Bungo Stray Dogs on the Funimation app. Because I didn't know Japanese authors, I assumed both anime were of the same timeline and setting. I was wrong, and that's okay. Bungo to Alchemist is its own story and has nothing to do with BSD. If anything, this one is more accurate toward the authors as far as how they were in real life.
It can be hard to follow the authors if you don't know them or their works, but it's also a joy because they're like new characters. The artwork is pretty and the way they use clock gears throughout the anime really adds a nice touch.
It's not the best anime in the world, but it was also a video game before an anime, so please take that into consideration if you watch it. (I didn't play the game before watching, and I enjoyed the show.)
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari (2019)
I didn't expect it to be so good!!
I was on my goes by the end of each episode. The plot is good and even has good storylines.
Some of the characters are okay but get kind of tiring when there's not much development but the show overall is a 10/10!!
Madan no Ou to Vanadis (2014)
It was definitely a good, short anime
I found this while not knowing what anime to binge next, so I decided to watch it. It's pretty good (not many clichés). While this is considered a harem, I don't see it as much. First of all, (I GUESS SPOILER EVEN THOUGH IT IS ONE OF THE FIRST WORDS SAID) the main lead is already "property" to this girl. The other girls that have fallen for him, Tigra, are more or less either ones that have known him forever or just take interest in him because of his skills (he is a very skilled archer).
The plot does get confusing sometimes if you don't follow along and watch/listen closely like I didn't. It was still really good and the animation itself is good too.
The voice acting is good. For the dub, there are lots of well known voice actors who are in it, and Tigra's voice is very soothing (at least to me). I would definitely watch it again if the plot was bad (which it's not) simply from the voices.
There's also a narrator that helps explain battle strategies to the audience as well as visuals on a map.
With a few small things that could've been better but I would definitely watch again.
Ensemble Stars (2019)
It was really good!!
I loved it and would 100% recommend it. The one problem is that this was originally a mobile game, and if you're like me and didn't play the game, the characters get a little confusing at times. Everything gets explained at some point or another, but they sometimes look the same or are introduced very quickly and then move on. I used the Wiki page, and it helped me. And in the second part of the series, I seemed to understand more. So yes, definitely watch this!!
Titans (2018)
People need to realize it's not Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go!, or Justice League
It's dark, yes, and some of the characters aren't in sync with the comic ones, but it's good overall. Lots of gore and swearing, so I probably wouldn't let your kids watch it if they think it's like Teen Titans.
Prince of Stride: Alternative (2016)
I don't see why the reviews are so low
I loved the anime. I read the reviews before watching the series (mainly on MyAnimeList) and I can say they're false. I loved the anime and am sad that it was so short. It will definitely be one I rewatch.
Gakusen toshi asterisk (2015)
Not 100% original, but it's good.
I like it. It was an anime I finished in two days because it kept me on my toes. The ratings are low, but if you look at each episode rating, they're an average of 8 stars, so it's a good show.
SPOILER
What I didn't like was the fact that the whole purpose of the anime (to find his sister) was summed up in the end theme song of the episode. It was like the production company knew it wasn't going to make a third season.
The Irregulars (2021)
It's pretty good
I'm not going to lie, I started this because Tom Holland's best friend (Harrison Osterfield) starred in it. I love the show!!! I love how it takes a spin on the Sherlock and Watson stories. I also love how there are different people of color. While it may not be historically accurate, we need to accept that fact and move on because having people of color gives diversity. If you can't handle that it's not accurate, then it's not the show for you. But it is a great show.
Servamp (2016)
I don't understand why the ratings are so low.
This anime is really good. It kept me on my toes and made me want more. The different concept they used for vampires is really cool. It'll definitely be a rewatch.
Ao no ekusoshisuto: Kyoto fujô ô-hen (2017)
A continuation
This was my second anime after Seven Deadly Sins. That was back in 2018. I had fallen in loved with it but hated the ending because it meant there was only one season. However, the "series finale" was just an anime only finale. The true anime that matches the manga after episode 15 of Blue Exorcist is this show right here!!
Ao no ekusoshisuto (2011)
One of the best
This was my second anime after Seven Deadly Sins. That was back in 2018. I had fallen in loved with it but hated the ending because it meant there was only one season. I fell in love with every character and plot. However, you need to only watch it until about the end of episode 15 or 16. There is a second series (season two on Netflix) that is true to the manga.
Kamisama hajimemashita (2012)
The one flaw is the plot
It seems like a lot of the problems in each episode are solved within one episode sometimes two in the first season. I could watch them out of order, it feels like. That's the only issue. I do love the overall plot and characters.
The Millionaire Detective: Balance - Unlimited (2020)
Underrated
A very great anime. I completed it in two days and was hooked. I hope there's a second season!
Fate: The Winx Saga (2021)
BRING TECNA AND FLORA BACK
I like Tecna but Flora was my favorite character as a kid. I wish they didn't take her out. Please bring her back!!
Rise of the Guardians (2012)
One of my favorite movies
I love this movie. I can quote it by heart. I love the animation; it's so life like. The plot is good. I learned more about the characters and plot after reading the book series the movie was based off of. (The Guardians of Childhood by William Joyce.) Overall, it's a wonderful movie. You can watch it any time of the year in my opinion.
Batman: Death in the Family (2020)
Batman: Under the Red Hood
If you want a story overview of Batman Under the Red Hood, watch this. I watched the digital copy and fast forward through the first thirty minutes because it was Batman Under the Red Hood. You could tell what parts of the story were recycled and what parts they added. Aside from the voices, the animations looked different. They didn't even use the heartfelt words that Jensen Ackles originally said or had Neil Patrick Harris's lines as Nightwing. Complete waste of time and money. Next time, DC, create a whole new version or don't create it at all.
